They became tyrants. The Elves were always a peaceful race, but the day the Orcs came, they turned hostile towards everyone except for humans. The Humans were only hostile towards themselves, but they remained a bond with both Elves and Nekos even after the Orcs. The Nekos, part feline, were usually peaceful. However, they turned hostile towards the Elves in the time the Orcs came. All of these races are now struggling for survival. You are a warrior for a race of your choice- Orcs, Humans, Elves, and Nekos. John A. Zoidberg
Ghost pushed the hair from his face as he sat on a hill, pondering why he chose to be in the war."Why did I do this?" he asked himself in his usual raspy, cold voice, "I doubt it's make much of a difference if I hadn't joined. Oh well. At least I can kill a few orcs later to lighten my mood.Suddenly, a loud noise knocked him out of his daze and he stood up, drawing his sword."Who's there?!" he shouted, sword raised. Guest PikaPerson01
As she casually traversed the Haven woods, a rather low pitched growling made it's way to her sharp pointed ears. She instantly stopped what she was doing, trying to pinpoint the exact location of where it was coming from. Reaching near the edge of the woods, she arrived near, but still remained hidden. She knew there was a hill nearby, which could be bad. A growling noise was just heard, and it could easily have been an orc, or perhaps a group of them. In any case, she knew being on the lower ground, especially with a ranged weapon, would be a terrible, terrible idea. Taking her bow and arrow, she began climbing a nearby tree. It was never her strongest skill, more of a boy's thing that girls tried to avoid, lest a boy elf attempt to look up her dress. Reaching a high branch, she scanned the area. Fortunately it was only a human. She breathed a sigh of relief, relaxed that it was not an enemy and she'd not have to fight. However, in her state of 'less' tension, she managed to lose her grip. She yelled out in panic, hitting several branches on the way down, along with a rather loud thud. She staggered to pick herself back up, standing a bit. She looked down, her bow and arrow were perfectly fine. She leaned on it like a cane to support her weight. However, the other human getting all agitated could prove to be a problem. She quickly gave up her location, stepping behind the shrubbery. "Amin easaahae!" she exclaimed, a phrase which would probably be synonymous to 'I come in peace'. To prove how submissive she was, she held her bows at an awkward, unintimidating angle, as well as bowing her head. She was fairly certain she recalled humans liking it when you bow. All she could do was wait to hear the man's response.
John A. Zoidberg
"Sorry," Ghost said, "But I only speak my native language. If you can too, it's best that you speak in my tongue."Ghost looked straight ahead."My name's Ghost," he said, with a smile, "It's nice to meet you."Ghost put his sword away, realizing there was no threat. Force_Flex
Wandering the forest Shu was getting hungry. He hadn't eaten for two days and needed some food. He sat down under a large oak tree and began to weep... "Why did this happen!?, WHY ME!?" He was now shouting towards the sky, not just in misery, but in anger. Heard the sounds of a medium sized mammal running on leaves. "Scared another one away..." he mumbled under his breath.
Guest PikaPerson01
(Err... four lines. o_o) A blank stare as she awkwardly brushed a strand of green hair from her face. She looked down, in a bit of shame. While trying to wrack her brain. "Speak" her right hand came at about chest level, as she began rotating her hand in a circle counter clockwise, towards him. "Hu-man" still with her right, she extended it from heart towards him. "Little" she raised her left hand, parallel to her right, then brought them close together until they were about an inch from each other. She wasn't aware if she pronounced it right, and her accent was probably rather thick, even though she spoke slowly. She nodded at his introduction. "Acheyla." she instictively responded, before recalling he couldn't speak her language. She shyly blushed then introduced herself. "Kholai Ederoi" She placed her palms upon her chest, as though signaling she was speaking of herself. ... But before she could introduce herself further, a rather loud voice seemed to call her ears to attention, a light wiggle from them before she turned her head. "Rashwe?"she whispered, holding her bow and arrow in a more defensive stance. She motioned for the man to follow her, but was unsure if she did nor could she be bothered to double check for him. She was fairly certain she could pinpoint where the sound came from, and did her best to make her footsteps sound lightly as she got closer. Slowing her pace, she spotted from behind the bushes what looked like a human, however something about him seemed off. She continued watching him, looking for anything that seemed off about him. John A. Zoidberg
Ghost drew his sword once more."Well, Kholai Ederoi, looks like we might have a fight on her hands."He reached his hand behind his head and curiously scratched it. Ghost leaned back and yawned, as if he wasn't even worried.
Force_Flex
(sorry, haven't RP'd in like a year <.<) While sulking, he heard a rumbling in the distance. Thinking to himself "how could this get any worse?". He darted off and began looking for a place to wait out the rain. Then he heard a large cracking sound. he decided it's best not to investigate and continued with his search. He came upon a small stream. The water was rushing quite fast for the size of the stream, yet another sign of rain to come. He keeled down to take a sip and noticed movement out of the corner of his eye. Guest PikaPerson01
... Apparently it's also raining now! o_o The overcast condition made it difficult to see, however the eventual spark of lightning clearly showed the figure's outline. While he seemed pretty human at first glance, upon the outline of the silhoutte, it was clear he had pointed ears above his head, a sure sign of a Neko. She nodded to the human by her side. "Ne-ko." she whispered slowly. She placed her hands upon the top of her head, making 'ear-like' symbols with them. She withdrew an arrow from her back, placing it gently on her bow. Her hand was mostly loose, but she could easily aim and pull back, should the situation turn ugly quickly.
John A. Zoidberg
Ghost dropped his sword and sighed."It's just a neko. We humans are pretty friendly with them, actually," he said, smiling.Ghost approached the neko with slight caution."Tell me, neko. What's your name, and what's your purpose here?" Force_Flex
He picked up the whispers of a strange language... his senses elevated and he quickly climbed a tree to see where the voice came from... He heard a calm voice. Sur wasn't very fluent in English, but could pick out a few words. He didn't seem to much harm, but he didn't want to take any chances. He fled to another tree nearby to try and asses the situation, but quickly got bored... He stepped out and slowly crept up to the strange man. Upon seeing the sword, he froze, eyes wide open, mouth agape. He couldn't move... All he could do was whimper he was scared to death of the sword. He'd been in battles before, but something just seemed... wrong...
Guest PikaPerson01
(OOC: A mercenary afraid of a sword? Fascinating. =D ) "Meoi-apanonar numa eshe!" She called out as the human called Ghost approached the cat-human-hybrid. She groaned as he gave up his and her hiding spot, and with little else to do she decided to follow the human's lead. She returned her arrow to her holster, but still kept her bow near her. However, the evil cat-human's reaction was rather... unclimactic. "Meoi-apanonar echye?" she questioned, as he whimpered in a cowardly manner. She crossed her arms across her chest in an annoyed manner.
John A. Zoidberg
((Again, no mercenaries.)) "Ugh," Ghost said, with disappointment in his voice, "This is pointless. I'm leaving, and don't you dare follow me."He took a step away, calming himself down.He looked back at the two and sighed again."Whatever," he said nonchalantly, taking another slow step. John A. Zoidberg
Ghost looked back, and sighed. He pitied the neko."Well, considering the humans and nekos are allies... sure, what the hell," he said, taking a piece of bread out of his pocket, "Take this. It's not much, but it's what I have and what I'll give."Ghost walked over to the neko, placing the bread in front of him."Enjoy," he said sarcastically, walking off. Force_Flex
He thought to himself "Why hasn't the pointy eared human killed me yet?"he quickly pushed the though aside and pounced on the bread, swallowing without chewing. His stomach growled again...Waited for more, but as the strange man began to walk away, his ears drooped. He heard a loud crack, and jumped. "Ilf seltour furgnt!" and darted off into the woods. John A. Zoidberg
"Strange," Ghost said to himself. He stopped and pondered the neko, but quickly shrugged, lost interest, and walked away.He approached his home shortly after."Finally," he muttered, entering his home.He walked in and sat down on a nearby chair, desperately wanting to relax. Guest PikaPerson01
Kholai crossed her arms as she watched the cat begging for food, a look of impoliteness and annoyance in her face as she really wasn't fond of Nekos. "Meoi-apanonar echye." which meant something like 'cowardly cat-human.' She watched as the human gave the cat a scrap to eat, then apparently watched as the human hurried off home. "C-Ceshar?" she called out with a shrug, unsure if he heard, and forgetting he didn't understand. And soon enough, the cowardly kitten ran away into the forest. Kholai decided not to think too much of the encounter. She'd met humans before and they were all rather simple minded. However, she'd need to make a quick shelter at least until the rain died down until she could return home. Finding a few loose branches, and a few large leaves, she made a quick make-shift tent before settling in and falling asleep.
Force_Flex
Sur had flanked around to admire the strange pointy-eared human. He had heard ledgends of how they were the most graceful beings in the world, but only in folklore. He made a mental note of where she had made a tent and went back to the stream to fish. After standing on the banks of a stream for what seemed like ages, but was more accuratly 5 minutes he spotted one. A small Trout. He quickly snatched it up and ate it raw. The threw the bones back in the stream to attract a larger catch. Whilst waiting, he spotted a large moving rock, but thought nothing of it and continued to wait. Then it hit him, "Ruks munlfdon!" (Rocks don't move!). He attracted a large turtle.
Guest PikaPerson01
The elf girl slept silently, and in her dream she imagined herself a princess of elves. And though she was normally a peaceful girl, she envisioned herself as a strong, fearless leader riding upon horseback, effortlessly getting rid of the Orc swarm that plagued her people and her lands. And with all of them gone, she could finally settle down and meet a nice, kind elf boy who would love her forever. Another shot of lightning however stirred her. She rubbed her eyes absentmindedly, then tried to get back to sleep to return to her peaceful dreams, but alas they were gone, as was her fatigue. She now had very little to do, continuing to wait out the storm.
Force_Flex
He let the turtle be and continued to fish... Sur had been fishing for 30 minutes and was getting cold. He began to set up camp and start a fire. After fiddling with the lean-tu he poked a stick through the fish and cooked them over the fire. While he waited, he realized the rain had stopped. He gorged himself on as much food would fit in his belly. He was almost passed out when he glanced over and saw there were two uneaten fish. He frowned. He hated the thought of killing something for a waste. He wondered what to do with it. Then it dawned on him. "what about the strange girl" he though. He walked over to her campsite and placed the two fish in plain sight, and began to walk away.
John A. Zoidberg
Ghost was awakened in the middle of the night by a knock on his door.He wearily walked over, rubbing his eyes, and opened the door to see a tall man dressed in armor."Ghost Burgeonis?" the man said in a deep voice."Yeah," Ghost replied, "What's up?""We've received alerts of a suspicious looking neko nearby, and we need you to check it out.""I know who you're talkin' about. He's no danger. Leave him be.""You don't understand, this could be dangerous.""Whatever, I'll at least talk to him."The man left and Ghost looked over to a bag on his table. He grabbed some food and put it in the bag.He left his house and started towards the last place he remembered seeing the neko."Heh. The least I can do it give this guy some food and tell everyone else he's no trouble."
Force_Flex
As he was walking away, he noticed a small stir in a bush. He quickly turned and starred at it for what seemed like hours. Then, as soon as he was sure it was nothing and began to turn, a large wolf jumped on top of him. He struggled to get free and was kicking frantically at it, but it wouldn't budge. He then noticed that it was frothing at the mouth. He began screaming and kicking even harder. He began clawing at it's eyes but it wouldn't let up. Then he felt a searing pain in his right forearm. It had bitten him, hard and was thrashing him around. He was paralyzed in pain.
