And anything GAY is from SATAN.[/LolCatholic]

Don't worry, I'm gay.

Really? I thought I was the only bisexual on YCM.

It's kind of ironic when a Pope has actually died of a heart attack (inb4kira) whilst sodomizing a pageboy. Priests always touch up little boys.

Pokemon is just a Japanese franchise that hypnotize millions of children (or adult) with its cuteness. People that say Pokemon is Satan or evil are the people that have lack of information in their brain about manga or anime.

And i believe Satan doesn't want to be associated with a bunch of creatures that can only speak pika-pika, squirtle-squirtle, and so on.

Satan is the king of Pokemon, here to take our minds![/sarc]

Seriously, I get so tired of hearing that from some people. I'm a devout Christian, and I say phooey. Look at Ulquiorra, he's based on Baphomet. Look at Lucemon, Lucifer. They are closer to the devil than anything, and they aren't. It's just the loonies.

Pokemon actually favors religious people moreso than scientists, and there is one main reason why.

Starting with Sinnoh mythology (anyone read in the Canalave (sp?) library), it states that Arceus was born from an egg which started the universe, and he thus created the rest of the Pokemon in the world. If you take out the part from being born from an egg (while not plausible at all, that was not listed in any religious texts, either), it completely mirrors the story of creationism, minus the fact that the three Pokemon created controlled time, space, and an alternate world, as opposed to creating two people of opposite genders. While this doesn't bash the Big Bang or any other science theories in video games, it confirms creationism, which is a plus one for religion.

However, to counter that, you see that Pokemon in general mirrors evolutionary theory, or at least to a point. You have species evolving over time, and you have divergent evolution (Ralts --> Kirlia --> Gallade or Gardevoir). Once a Pokemon evolves, it has the potential to gain new traits, and evolving generally (if not always) makes it more apt to fit into the enviornment. If a Pokemon starts out developing a certain trait, it won't stop midway. For example, if a Pokemon Stage 0 starts out with a high Base Attack, that trait will follow throughout (Machop, Machoke, Machamp).

Essentially, while religious leaders may not like the fact that evolution is present in Pokemon, they can't deny that creationism goes wayyy in their favor.

You gotta remember that the japanese doesnt have christian morals like america, and they will use anything they have at their disposal to shock and awe people. I think that most animes are made by some freaky people, but when you learn to be able to understand the writing process and how alot of stories have already been written you see what you should and shouldnt take from the animes.

But the whole lavender town song giving psychological damage. Now that i want researched haha.

This.

Unfortunately, conservatives sometimes fail to read between the lines. A few people saw the word "evolve" and freaked. Hell, when I was a kid I never made the connection. Ever.
