[27/???] Portsola Archetype - Just a quick update: Portsola-Crusade

.Rai

Recommended Posts

The Portsola are a mix of Fairy-Type monsters, predominantly LIGHT but with a few others mixed in with high DEFs and often 0 ATK. They use their DEF as ways to inflict damage, like with with effect damage or switch-a-roo stat effects. It took me ages to think of a specific theme for them. They are the more offensive side of the real Yu-Gi-Oh! card, Spirit of the Breeze.

[spoiler=Monsters]

[spoiler=Boss(es) & Sub-Boss(es)]

[spoiler=Bosses]

[spoiler=Portsola-Eternal]This is the first card using my new card template. Not good as jayjack's though...

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 3 "Portsola" monsters you control. If a monster you control is attacked, you can decrease its DEF by 600 to negate the attack. By halving this card's DEF, destroy all Spell and Trap Cards on the field, then increase the DEF of all monsters on the field by the amount of cards destroyed by this effect X 200.

[spoiler=Sub-Bosses]

[spoiler=Portsola-Peace]1z14lmq.jpg

This card can only be Special Summoned by skipping your next 4 Battle Phases and tributing 1 monster you control. If the tributed monster was LIGHT, increase your Life Points by 1100. Each time your opponent attacks a monster you control, place 1 Peace Counter (max. 4) on this card. By removing 4 Peace Counters from this card, draw 1 card. By revealing the drawn card, draw 1 more card.

[spoiler=Portsola-Judgement]Very, very hard to use.

This card cannot be Special Summoned. If this card is Tribute Summoned using only "Portsola" monsters as tributes, your opponent cannot enter their Battle Phase. During each of your End Phases, send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard and flip a coin. If the result was heads, you can destroy 1 card on the field. If the result was tails, return this card to your hand.

[spoiler=Effect Monsters]

[spoiler=Portsola-Choice]35ix9ie.jpg

You can Special Summon this monster from your hand if you control at least 2 "Portsola" monsters. Once per turn, you can change the Battle Position of 1 "Portsola" monster you control. You can discard 1 card from your hand and select 1 monster your opponent controls. During your opponent's next Battle Phase, the selected monster must attack this monster.

[spoiler=Portsola-Dancer]6rhrms.jpg

You can discard 1 card from your hand to negate this card's effect until your next Standby Phase. This card can attack while it is in Defense Position. If this card attacks while in Defense Position, apply the DEF of this card for damage calculation. During your End Phase, this monster is changed to face-up Attack Position.

[spoiler=Portsola-Obscurity]2dcfk0x.jpg

When a monster you control is attacked, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard during the Damage Step to have that monster gain 1300 DEF until the End Phase. You can discard this card from your hand to add 1 Level 3 or lower "Portsola" monster from your Deck to your hand.

[spoiler=Portsola-Anifolia]9u6f49.jpg

This card's DEF is equal to half the combined DEF of all "Portsola" monsters you control. When this card is removed from the field, both players must select 1 monster they control. The selected monsters are changed to face-up Defense Position and cannot attack or change their Battle Position, except with a card effect.

[spoiler=Portsola-Victory]2chr1w.jpg

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 1 Level 5 or higher "Portsola" monster you control. Once per turn, you can increase this card's ATK by its DEF until the End Phase. Each time a "Portsola" monster is Summoned, increase this card's DEF by 300.

[spoiler=Portsola-Corruption]35j9x7p.jpg

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except if your opponent attacks a monster you control. End the Battle Phase and Special Summon this card from your hand. This card's ATK is equal to the ATK of the attacking monster and its DEF is equal to the DEF of the attacked monster.

[spoiler=Portsola-Trill]333yg4k.jpg

You can Special Summon this card from your hand by removing from play 1 monster you control. You can Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck with a lower Level than the removed monster. You cannot Synchro Summon in the same turn this card was Special Summoned.

[spoiler=Portsola-Contemplator]330y6x0.jpg

This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card returns to the owner's hand during the End Phase of the turn that this card is Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned, or flipped face-up. During the End Phase of the turn in which this card was destroyed, increase your Life Points by the amount of damage you took this turn.

[spoiler=Portsola-Prediction]1z73sd5.jpg

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:

● This card's DEF is 3100. Once per turn, you can change every monster you control to face-down Defense Position and rearrange the face-down Defense Position monsters on your side of the field, then return them in face-down Defense Position.

[spoiler=Portsola-Mordent]zlvw28.jpg

If you Tribute Summon this monster, Special Summon 1 "Portsola" monster from your hand or Deck whose Level is equal or lower than the Level of the tributed monster. If your opponent attacks a "Portsola" monster you control, you can tribute this card to negate the attack and destroy the attacking monster.

[spoiler=Portsola-Pitch]You know how all archetypes have that 1 card that nobody would use, here's the Portsolas'. It's purely stall.

no7bbn.jpg

During your Standby Phase, increase this monster's Level by 1. If this monster's Level is 5 or more, destroy it. This card cannot be destroyed except by its own effect. This monster cannot be used for a Synchro Summon during the turn it is Summoned.

[spoiler=Portsola-Courage]6tpgeq.jpg

During each of your Standby Phases, increase the DEF of 1 monster you control by 300. By sending this monster to the Graveyard, your opponent must skip his/her next Draw Phase. You can only activate this effect once per Duel.

[spoiler=G.L.O.B.E.]This is mainly support, but not a true member of the Portsolas. To make sure it was balanced, not OPed, I didn't include Portsola in its name so it can't be targeted by other Portsola effects.

712sg2.jpg

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 4 Spell or Trap Cards on either side of the field. Decrease the DEF of this monster by 300 for each card that your opponent controlled used to Special Summon this card. If your opponent Normal Summons a monster with a DEF that is lower than half this monster's DEF, remove it from play. Your opponent cannot attack this face-up monster.

[spoiler=Portsola-Crusade]zsuvex.jpg

When this card is Normal Summoned, switch its ATK and DEF and switch it to Defense Position. While this card is in Attack Position, inflict 900 damage to your opponent during each of your opponent's End Phases. While you control 2 or more Attack Position "Portsola-Crusade", increase any damage you inflict by 100 for each "Portsola" monster you control.

[spoiler=Ritual Monsters]

[spoiler=Portsola-Whim]2rw5he9.jpg

This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card, "Whimsical Sword". When this card is Ritual Summoned, select any amount of monsters on the field. As long as this card is face-up on the field, the selected monsters are changed to face-up Defense Position and cannot change their Battle Position, except by a card effect. Once per turn, you can remove from play to 2 monsters you control. Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck or Graveyard whose Level is lower than the removed monsters' combined Level.

[spoiler=Extra Deck]

[spoiler=Portsola-Saviour]2q2r9cy.jpg

1 Level 5 or higher "Portsola" monster + 1 Level 3 or higher "Portsola" monster

This card can only be Special Summoned from your Extra Deck by returning the above cards you control to the Deck. (You do not use "Polymerization".) This card cannot attack directly. If this card attacks, you can change the Battle Position of 1 monster on the field. By its controller discarding 1 card from their hand, inflict damage equal to its DEF to its controller's opponent.

[spoiler=Portsola-Themis]x26hr4.jpg

While this monster is in face-up Attack Position, you can discard your entire hand and destroy every card on the field except this card. This monster is changed to face-down Defense Position during each of your End Phases.

By the way, this is supposed to be overpowered. I'd rather it be Limited or something than lose its effect. And, yes, I've took Judgement Dragon for an example.

[spoiler=Portsola-Allegro]This may have some OCG errors but forget them.

14lhgqw.jpg

While this monster is in the Extra Deck, you can treat it as a Synchro monster with the above Fusion Material monsters as Synchro Material. Each time a monster with 2500 or more DEF is Summoned, place 1 Allegro Counter on this card (max. 3). If this card was Fusion Summoned, place 3 Allegro Counters instead. You can remove this monster from play to inflict damage to your opponent equal to the amount of Allegro Counters on this card X 1200. Your opponent can only attack with 1 monster during their Battle Phases.

[spoiler=Spells]

[spoiler=Glorious Release]9u5jqp.jpg

Select 1 Fairy-Type monster you control. If the selected monster is removed from the field, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half its DEF. You can remove from play this card in your Graveyard to increase the DEF of 1 monster you control, except the selected monster, by 600.

[spoiler=The Concealed Bubble]30ijfw8.jpg

All Defense Position monsters you control gain 300 DEF. Once per turn, if a Defense Position monster you control is attacked, you can negate the attack. While this card is face-up on the field, both players can Set monsters without tribute. You can discard 1 card from your hand to negate this effect during your opponent's next turn.

[spoiler=Fighting in Vain]2yvt8gy.jpg

Each time a monster attacks, inflict damage to its controller equal to its ATK during your next Standby Phase. When this card is destroyed, Special Summon a monster with 2000 or more DEF from your Graveyard.

[spoiler=Petrification]1087gd0.jpg

The equipped monster cannot attack and its DEF is increased by 600. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, send it to the bottom of its owner's Deck instead. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can return it to the top of your Deck.

[spoiler=Whimsical Sword]2qtbs7k.jpg

This card is used to Ritual Summon "Portsola-Whim". You must also Tribute monsters whose total Levels equal 7 or more from the field or your hand. If this card and "Portsola-Whim" in your Graveyard, instead of conducting your normal Draw Phase, you can add this card and 1 Ritual Monster Card from your Graveyard to your hand. This card cannot be activated during the turn you used this effect.

[spoiler=Traps]

[spoiler=Portsola Barrier]2jfn8fa.jpg

Reveal your entire hand to your opponent. If the total DEF of the monsters in your hand is 4000 or above, decrease the ATK of up to 2 monsters on the field to 0. While this card is in your Graveyard, all Battle Damage to your Life Points is reduced by 600 (If the Battle Damage is less than 600, remove this card from play).

Which one?

EDIT: Try now.

All of them, and nope. Still not.

Funnily enough I can't seem to open any of your spoilers, not even the monster spoiler. It may just be the computer I'm on, but I think others share my problem. Maybe you should try re-uploading the pictures of editing the spoiler. I really would like to see the cards.

Nope, I'm having the same problems. So it must be something CR did.

Portsola - Crusade

OH MAH GAWD IT'S A PORTSOLA WITH ATK. -Reads the first effect- Nevermind... Well, it just says Normal Summoned, so when you Special or Flip it over, you can use it as a nice beater. As a beater, can deal quite the burn and you won't have to worry about it getting destroyed most of the time with a nice 1900 ATK. That last effect just continues the burn. Have to of these on the field, deal 2000 damage per opponent's end phase! Have 3 of these, you can deal 6000 damage in 2 turns! As you can see, this can be OP'd. I think the burn effects need a drawback. Overall, 9.6/10

The Spoilers

Work fine for me.
