Guest Cursed Reaction
The Portsola are a mix of Fairy-Type monsters, predominantly LIGHT but with a few others mixed in with high DEFs and often 0 ATK. They use their DEF as ways to inflict damage, like with with effect damage or switch-a-roo stat effects. It took me ages to think of a specific theme for them. They are the more offensive side of the real Yu-Gi-Oh! card, Spirit of the Breeze.

This is the first card using my new card template. Not good as jayjack's though... This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 3 "Portsola" monsters you control. If a monster you control is attacked, you can decrease its DEF by 600 to negate the attack. By halving this card's DEF, destroy all Spell and Trap Cards on the field, then increase the DEF of all monsters on the field by the amount of cards destroyed by this effect X 200.

This card can only be Special Summoned by skipping your next 4 Battle Phases and tributing 1 monster you control. If the tributed monster was LIGHT, increase your Life Points by 1100. Each time your opponent attacks a monster you control, place 1 Peace Counter (max. 4) on this card. By removing 4 Peace Counters from this card, draw 1 card. By revealing the drawn card, draw 1 more card.
Very, very hard to use. This card cannot be Special Summoned. If this card is Tribute Summoned using only "Portsola" monsters as tributes, your opponent cannot enter their Battle Phase. During each of your End Phases, send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard and flip a coin. If the result was heads, you can destroy 1 card on the field. If the result was tails, return this card to your hand.
Effect Monsters]
You can Special Summon this monster from your hand if you control at least 2 "Portsola" monsters. Once per turn, you can change the Battle Position of 1 "Portsola" monster you control. You can discard 1 card from your hand and select 1 monster your opponent controls. During your opponent's next Battle Phase, the selected monster must attack this monster.
You can discard 1 card from your hand to negate this card's effect until your next Standby Phase. This card can attack while it is in Defense Position. If this card attacks while in Defense Position, apply the DEF of this card for damage calculation. During your End Phase, this monster is changed to face-up Attack Position.
When a monster you control is attacked, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard during the Damage Step to have that monster gain 1300 DEF until the End Phase. You can discard this card from your hand to add 1 Level 3 or lower "Portsola" monster from your Deck to your hand.
This card's DEF is equal to half the combined DEF of all "Portsola" monsters you control. When this card is removed from the field, both players must select 1 monster they control. The selected monsters are changed to face-up Defense Position and cannot attack or change their Battle Position, except with a card effect.
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 1 Level 5 or higher "Portsola" monster you control. Once per turn, you can increase this card's ATK by its DEF until the End Phase. Each time a "Portsola" monster is Summoned, increase this card's DEF by 300.
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except if your opponent attacks a monster you control. End the Battle Phase and Special Summon this card from your hand. This card's ATK is equal to the ATK of the attacking monster and its DEF is equal to the DEF of the attacked monster.
You can Special Summon this card from your hand by removing from play 1 monster you control. You can Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck with a lower Level than the removed monster. You cannot Synchro Summon in the same turn this card was Special Summoned.
This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card returns to the owner's hand during the End Phase of the turn that this card is Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned, or flipped face-up. During the End Phase of the turn in which this card was destroyed, increase your Life Points by the amount of damage you took this turn.
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect: ● This card's DEF is 3100. Once per turn, you can change every monster you control to face-down Defense Position and rearrange the face-down Defense Position monsters on your side of the field, then return them in face-down Defense Position.
If you Tribute Summon this monster, Special Summon 1 "Portsola" monster from your hand or Deck whose Level is equal or lower than the Level of the tributed monster. If your opponent attacks a "Portsola" monster you control, you can tribute this card to negate the attack and destroy the attacking monster.
You know how all archetypes have that 1 card that nobody would use, here's the Portsolas'. It's purely stall. During your Standby Phase, increase this monster's Level by 1. If this monster's Level is 5 or more, destroy it. This card cannot be destroyed except by its own effect. This monster cannot be used for a Synchro Summon during the turn it is Summoned.
During each of your Standby Phases, increase the DEF of 1 monster you control by 300. By sending this monster to the Graveyard, your opponent must skip his/her next Draw Phase. You can only activate this effect once per Duel.
This is mainly support, but not a true member of the Portsolas. To make sure it was balanced, not OPed, I didn't include Portsola in its name so it can't be targeted by other Portsola effects. This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 4 Spell or Trap Cards on either side of the field. Decrease the DEF of this monster by 300 for each card that your opponent controlled used to Special Summon this card. If your opponent Normal Summons a monster with a DEF that is lower than half this monster's DEF, remove it from play. Your opponent cannot attack this face-up monster.
Ritual Monsters]
This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card, "Whimsical Sword". When this card is Ritual Summoned, select any amount of monsters on the field. As long as this card is face-up on the field, the selected monsters are changed to face-up Defense Position and cannot change their Battle Position, except by a card effect. Once per turn, you can remove from play to 2 monsters you control. Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck or Graveyard whose Level is lower than the removed monsters' combined Level.
Extra Deck]
1 Level 5 or higher "Portsola" monster + 1 Level 3 or higher "Portsola" monster This card can only be Special Summoned from your Extra Deck by returning the above cards you control to the Deck. (You do not use "Polymerization".) This card cannot attack directly. If this card attacks, you can change the Battle Position of 1 monster on the field. By its controller discarding 1 card from their hand, inflict damage equal to its DEF to its controller's opponent.
While this monster is in face-up Attack Position, you can discard your entire hand and destroy every card on the field except this card. This monster is changed to face-down Defense Position during each of your End Phases. By the way, this is supposed to be overpowered. I'd rather it be Limited or something than lose its effect. And, yes, I've took Judgement Dragon for an example.
This may have some OCG errors but forget them. While this monster is in the Extra Deck, you can treat it as a Synchro monster with the above Fusion Material monsters as Synchro Material. Each time a monster with 2500 or more DEF is Summoned, place 1 Allegro Counter on this card (max. 3). If this card was Fusion Summoned, place 3 Allegro Counters instead. You can remove this monster from play to inflict damage to your opponent equal to the amount of Allegro Counters on this card X 1200. Your opponent can only attack with 1 monster during their Battle Phases.
Spells]
Select 1 Fairy-Type monster you control. If the selected monster is removed from the field, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half its DEF. You can remove from play this card in your Graveyard to increase the DEF of 1 monster you control, except the selected monster, by 600.
All Defense Position monsters you control gain 300 DEF. Once per turn, if a Defense Position monster you control is attacked, you can negate the attack. While this card is face-up on the field, both players can Set monsters without tribute. You can discard 1 card from your hand to negate this effect during your opponent's next turn.
Each time a monster attacks, inflict damage to its controller equal to its ATK during your next Standby Phase. When this card is destroyed, Special Summon a monster with 2000 or more DEF from your Graveyard.
The equipped monster cannot attack and its DEF is increased by 600. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, send it to the bottom of its owner's Deck instead. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can return it to the top of your Deck.
This card is used to Ritual Summon "Portsola-Whim". You must also Tribute monsters whose total Levels equal 7 or more from the field or your hand. If this card and "Portsola-Whim" in your Graveyard, instead of conducting your normal Draw Phase, you can add this card and 1 Ritual Monster Card from your Graveyard to your hand. This card cannot be activated during the turn you used this effect.
Traps]
Reveal your entire hand to your opponent. If the total DEF of the monsters in your hand is 4000 or above, decrease the ATK of up to 2 monsters on the field to 0. While this card is in your Graveyard, all Battle Damage to your Life Points is reduced by 600 (If the Battle Damage is less than 600, remove this card from play).

None
Portsola-Themis
Portsola-Victory Fighting in Vain
Anbu-of-Sand
Interesting archetype. I just skimmed through the cards but I'll say something about 1 card. Portsola - Prediction. even though being a Gemini, needs a drawback to it's massive DEF of 3000. I'll go more in-depth on the archetype later on. But from what I skimmed through, the archetype looks rather intriguing.
Guest Cursed Reaction
Thanks. I may change it but I want to keep it quite high as it's one of the stronger cards of the archetype.
Anbu-of-Sand
Okay but then at least change the Level if you want to keep the high stats. As 3000 DEF is to high for a Level 4 Gemini.
mentor-of-spells
good cards.... as said before teh card needs drawback 7/
Anbu-of-Sand
Okay more archetype feedback! Portsola - ChoicePicture seems cute and for some reason, IMO goes with the name. Great field control. Special it, change a few Battle Positions, maybe synchro. Pretty decent. Control over the Battle Phase works lovely with the card. Discard a card your opponent's monster of your choice has to somehow take down 2600 DEF. Love it. 9.3/10 Portsola - DancerLove the picture. Wonder why you chose 'Dancer' though. That first effect confuses me. Negating the card's own effect at discarding a card. Love how it can attack while in DEF using it's well, DEF. A balanced level 4 beater is always great. The drawback is balanced how it turns to attack position after. But could be a tad tad taaad UP'd. Say this card attacks an 1800 monster, your opponent takes 200, this switches to ATK. Your opponents turn, they summon an 1800 beater, attack this monster, you take 1800. But can work well with the card above. Overall, decent beater. 9.1/10 Portsola - ObscuritySweet picture but doesn't look much of a Level 3. Great card. Could work with many of these cards, saving their asses. Has great search capabilities. Mainly for tuners. For some reason I'm starting to like cards that activate when you discard them from the hand. The problem is, this would work even better if it was a Tuner monster. Great card. 9.6/10 Portsola - Anifolia That's a different picture from the archetype. Great control over monsters like before. Is a +1 for you and possibly a -1 for your opponent. Can gain great DEF even if it's only half the combined total of all the DEF's monsters. Could work well with that Dancer card. Like said before, would work even better if it was a Tuner. 9.4/10 Portsola - VictoryDecent picture. Okay summoning requirements. Could become quite the beater overtime. I think it's OP'd how every time a Portsola is summoned the DEF goes up 300. I'd lower it to 200 and add a drawback. Like, if you use the effect to increase the ATK equal to the DEF, the DEF goes back to it's original DEF after using that effect to boost up the ATK. Otherwise, okay card. 9.1/10 Portsola - CorruptionThe name fits the picture and the effect. But where do you Special Summon it from? The hand,Graveyard, or anywhere? Great way to piss of your opponent. Can gain decent attacking depending on the monster attacking and great defense since most of the time the monster being attacked would be a Portsola. I really like this card. 9.7/10 Portsola - TrillPretty nice picture. Trill is a unique name for the card. Okay summoning requirements. Has okay searching capabilities. To bad it can't be synchro'd the turn it was Special Summoned. But it makes an okay drawback. 8.8/10 Portsola - ContemplatorSpirit monster. Okay picture. Okay stall card. Great way to reuse it. Great for stalling since say you take 1800 damage, at the End Phase you get that much damage back. So it's like the attack never even happened. So a pretty good card overall. 9.5/10 Portsola - PredictionAlready gave the feedback on this card. 8.9/10 Portsola - MordentGreat searching capabilities. Special a Tuner for an instant synchro? Love how it's a mini Mirror Force that can protect your monsters. Works well with Dancer like said before. Overall, 9.7/10 I will rate the Synchros and Spells later. Overall, lovely archetype. Has great searching power for Tuners and other monsters as well. Has great ways to stall and still inflict damage at the same time. Could piss of your opponent during the duel how they have to run over a wall of high DEF monsters. Can't wait see to see more of this archetype. Great job. Overall, the archetype as a whole gets a 9.8/
Guest Cursed Reaction
Thanks. Dancer's first effect is to negate the attack position thing. Will fix errors later.

Anbu-of-Sand
Glorious RelaseGreat card for the Portsola monsters. Seeing most of them half some whopping DEF power, this card can dish out some decent burn damage to your opponent. I like that effect how the additional +600 by removing it from play can save your butt. Which reminds me, a great card that would work with this archetype is Stronghold Guardian. Check it out on the Yugioh Wikia. Overall, card gets a 9.8/10 Portsola BarrierGreat Battle Field control. Could let some of your monsters run over your opponents monsters quite easily, while inflicting Battle Damage to your opponent that can hurt them quite a lot. That last effect is quite good how it reduces Battle Damage to your Life Points by 600 and how the drawback makes complete sense. Needs some drawbacks though otherwise a tad OP'd. 9.8/10 is my rate for this card as well. I have to find the time to rate the Synchro Monsters xD
Guest Cursed Reaction
Hmm, Stronghold does work. Like Obscurity but pure wall power! Thanks for the rates.
Anbu-of-Sand
Dang. Obscurity + Stronghold = Broken. Dump those 2 it's a +2800 to your Portsola's!If that doesn't save them from being run over by a monster, I don't know what will.
windninja96
only 2 cards have any ATK whatsoever, and one is a fusion!
Guest Cursed Reaction
From a good hand of 2 Strongholds and 2 Obscurity, you can get something like 5600 extra DEF. This archetype needs its own ban list.

Anbu-of-Sand
Might as well a better time then ever to rate those Extra Deck monsters. Portsola - SaviourI like how instead of sending your monsters to the Graveyard you just put them in your Deck and shuffle it. Manipulation of Battle Positions work well with this card. This card reminds me of Royal Oppression since the last effect both players can use. But it looks like you'll get the upper hand when using it. The last effect is kinda confusing. Is this is what your aiming for?By discarding 1 monster card in your hand, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the DEF of the discarded monster. Both you and your opponent can use this effect as long as this card remains face-up on the field.Last sentence I took from Royal Oppression. If the above isn't what your aiming for, it should be. Because you would have the upper hand using this effect. But this effect could also be OP'd seeing with Portsola - Dancer and all. So maybe inflict damage equal to half the DEF? Overall, nice card. 9.6/10 Portsola - ThemisNice picture. Minimal OCG Error first sentence. 'Discard your entire card from your hand'? Don't you just mean your entire hand? Like how it changes to face-down DEF after. Yes that reminds me of JD. Good thing it's limited. 9.8/10 Decent Extra Deck cards in all. Can't wait for more cards from this archetype! Just wondering, are you thinking of giving the archetype a Field Spell?
