Wow. That's a lot of words. Many of which don't mean anything of substance and can just be attributed to exposition for the sake of increasing length. To paraphrase: "Eh, don't worry about YCMaker! Just do what you could already do on this site! And make cards! You don't need any new features to do that!" Wow! Wonderful! In that case, make yourself useful and help clean up! We'd appreciate the extra hand in dealing with all these bots. I mean, unless you really want an exotic date like they claim.9 points

y-yeah, let's be shameless while this lasts. NCM link: https://neocardmaker.com/ I need more people that share my particular interests over there to really get more active, but regardless something that is forever true is that there's useful and active staff and admin over there and has a much better infrastructure. YCM at this point will only last until the corrupting code and suffocating bots allow it to so please go over there to have another meeting point in case things go south over here. No staff besides the admin himself would really be willing to shoot this post down and he's been apparently offline since "the tyranny of inches". If this post gets axed we'll know the status of this situation xD8 points

Cool artwork. I think is too dependent on the "Vampiric Dragulas Disciple". For archetypes with level 6, this is less flexible. Need something like this, "You can Normal Summon this card without Tributing, but its original ATK becomes 500", "send 1 "Vampiric" monster from Deck, then Special Summon this card", "When this card is Normal or Special Summon, you can Special Summon 1 "Vampiric" monster from.."6 points

Here are some of the backrow cards. Spare Slayer Doll SPELL | [ Continuous ] Original artwork by MyungYi You can only activate this card and resolve its effects while you have no cards in your Extra Deck. If a "Slayer Doll" monster you control is sent from the field to the GY, You can add 1 Level 5 or higher "Slayer Doll" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Spare Slayer Doll" once per turn. During the Battle Phase, while the only face-up monsters you control are "Slayer Doll" monsters, negate all of your opponent's Spell/Trap cards and their effects during the Battle Phase only. Slayer Doll Rising SPELL | [ Ritual ] Original artwork by キュンLab You cannot activate this card while you have cards in your Extra Deck. This card can be used to Ritual Summon any "Slayer Doll" Ritual Monster from your hand or GY. You must also Tribute monsters from your hand or your side of the field whose total Levels are equal or greater than the Level of that Ritual Monster. While this card is in your hand or banished: You can place it into the bottom of the Deck; Draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Slayer Doll Rising" once per turn. Slayer Doll Awakening SPELL | [ Ritual ] Artist missing (Pixiv page not found). You cannot activate this card while you have cards in your Extra Deck. This card can be used to Ritual Summon any "Slayer Doll" Ritual Monster from your hand or GY. You must also Tribute monsters from your hand or your side of the field whose total Levels are equal or greater than the Level of that Ritual Monster. During your Main Phase: You can banish this card from your GY, add 1 "Slayer Doll" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Slayer Doll Awakening" once per Duel. Last Annihilation TRAP | [ Counter ] (This card is always treated as an "Slayer Doll" card.) If an opponent's Special Summoned monster activates its effects while you have no cards in your Extra Deck; negate that activation, and if you do, neither player can use monsters as Materials for the rest of this turn. If the only monsters you control are "Slayer Doll" monsters, you can activate this card from your hand. You can only activate 1 "Last Annihilation" per turn.6 points

I have been on this website since 2011 and you have been broadly known as the guy who created the cardmaker and is never around for all of that timeframe. Yes it's your website and you can do whatever you want with it, great argument man but I would dare you to perhaps engage with the criticism you receive on a more intellectual level than "This is actually mine I own it and I let you use it and you should be grateful". It is obviously too late for that though as this attitude and its associated approach to leadership has already achieved its logical end of driving the community away, be that to the website which must not be named or just away entirely from the space. It's great that you used to like making cards, I did too, particularly when I first found this website at the age of 14. I remember vividly the first cards that I posted and the mixture of anticipation nerves dread excitement all that shit tied to sharing something I had made that I actually wanted to be good with people I did not know for the first time in my life, checking the family computer every 10, 15 minutes to see if anyone had replied or if anyone had even viewed or was viewing the thread. Those minutes turned to hours and those hours turned to days and the days to weeks to months to years and I'm 26 moderating that same now largely abandoned stage. In that time I don't see 12 years worth of technological advancement or functional improvement in the cardmaker. I see a pet project that is intermittently worked on as a life is led. And that's fine, that's completely fine, but you can't actually just be normal about it and acknowledge it as such, you're never the guy who created the cardmaker and sometimes works on it in his spare time you're always the great and glorious leader returning from who knows where to bless the unruly baying mob with maybe another scrap maybe a verbal dressing down for having the cheek to question our leader's commitment in the midst of his latest year-long hibernation. It is beyond comical for you to sockpuppet another account to make this post to an audience of about 15 actual people on a forum that at a time had hundreds. Like there isn't really anything I can say that is as funny or damning as just the broader context of this post and its own content. You're a twat.6 points

I Love predaplants and they are Honestly Super underrated. These are Just a Few of the Concepts I've got to improve the overall Archetype, (These Should Defiantly Fix Some of the Core issues) Remember all stats and effects are SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Also Feel free to put your Comments and Suggestions down bellow! Example of Pure Decklist: Turn 1 Two Card Combo: Verdantia, the Outcasted Predaplant + Botanical Fusion Predaplanning, and (Super poly or Predaplant Fusion Ensnarement) are Facedown. A lot of times people don't seem to consider the TCG banlist when making their custom cards, even for their archetype. The banlist is a guide of what NOT to do when making custom cards. There are 4 levels to consider Banned: These are the cards that are game-breaking and must be avoided when making custom cards, even for their archetype. Cards get placed on here because these cards for some reason, deny the opponent an aspect of the yugioh game. Limited: Not as bad as the banned cards, but still you want to avoid these. These cards are problematic because they may run the risk of breaking the game as a whole. Semi-Limited: You can use semi-limited cards in your custom card archetype but you have to carefully make sure that the game is not broken by this. Unlimited: Unlimited cards can be used as idea to make custom cards because they do NOT do anything gamebreaking. Direct attacking, multiple attackers, they are all part of the game. Same with destroying a backrow or monster your opponent controls. However, you do want to be careful with negation as that can make the opponent not want to play against you. The banlist is there so that you don't have to spend too much time balancing your cards, even though balancing your cards is a part of the custom card making progress. And using HOPTs (Hard once per turns on all effects - "You can only use each effect of 'X' once per turn." and "You can only use this effect of 'X' once per turn.") can make balancing easier.5 points

"How far can one push the power of individual cards on a deck that forces you to entirely abandon the Extra Deck?" (Without actually breaking the whole game). That was pretty much the concept behind this archetype, and although I tried to make them somewhat balanced, considering that the archetype deals with Extra Deck locks, I feel like this should be here in the casual section. I've actually made several cards for this archetype, but I'll only upload a few ones for now. Slayer Doll Melissa DARK | ✪✪✪✪✪ Fiend / Effect | 1500 / 1000 Cannot be used as Material. You can Special Summon "Slayer Doll Melissa" (from your hand) if you have no cards in your Extra Deck, but only once per turn. Once per turn, if this card Summoned by its own effect battles an opponent's monster, negate that monster's effects during this Battle Phase only (even on the GY), and if you do, destroy that monster after Damage Calculation. Slayer Doll Silvy DARK | ✪✪✪✪✪ Fiend / Effect | 1650 / 1000 Cannot be used as Material. You can Special Summon "Slayer Doll Silvy" (from your hand) if you have no cards in your Extra Deck, but only once per turn. During your Main Phase, while you control this card Summoned by its own effect, you can send 1 "Slayer Doll" card from your Deck to the GY (Quick Effect): Draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Slayer Doll Silvy" once per turn. Slayer Doll Bianca DARK | ✪✪✪✪✪ Fiend / Effect | 1730 / 1000 Cannot be used as Material. When your opponent declares an attack while you have no cards in your Extra Deck: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand); negate the attack. Your opponent cannot declare attacks for the rest of the turn after you activate this effect. While you control this card Summoned by its own effect (Quick Effect): You can Set 1 "Slayer Doll" Ritual Spell from your Deck or GY, but banish it after it leaves the field. You can only use each effect of "Slayer Doll Bianca" once per turn. Slayer Doll Designer DARK | ✪✪✪✪ Spellcaster / Effect | 450 / 1000 Original artwork by YOHAKU Cannot be Summoned while you have cards in your Extra Deck. Cannot be destroyed by battle or be targeted by your opponent's card effects. During your turn, while you only control "Slayer Doll" monsters and this Normal Summoned card in Attack Position: Negate the effects of monsters that were Summoned from the Extra Deck. You can Tribute this card, then add 1 "Slayer Doll" Ritual Monster or Ritual Spell from your Deck or GY to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Slayer Doll Designer" once per turn. Slayer Doll ♠Alice DARK | ✪✪✪✪✪ Fiend / Ritual / Effect | 0 / 1000 You can Ritual Summon this card with any "Slayer Doll" card. Cannot be used as Material. At the start of the Damage Step, if this Ritual Summoned monster battles an opponent's monster: Change the ATK of that opponent's monster to 0 until the end of the Damage Step, and if you do, increase this card ATK by half the original ATK of that monster. You take no battle damage from battles involving this card. If this card would be destroyed; You can change its ATK to 0 instead. This card's effects cannot be negated.4 points

Ikr This deck is actually super viable in gameplay through recent playtesting (Clapps branded). Do you mean the deck list at the end? I just found an Online deck builder and then built a deck with (filler) cards and then I just photo shopped these card designs over them. I should really remake it because this version is just me being lazy and screenshotting the same list to photoshop over and over and thus making it super blurry XD If you have any card suggestions I'm all ears, glad you enjoyed this post!4 points

Now as much as I love this website it hurts me to see people arguing over some of the silliest shit. Like y'all need to calm down, clear your heads and overall, just find some common ground. We're all respectable Yugioh fans and this a community where we're supposed to get together and just post fun shit not a community we just get to burn to the ground because we can't see eye to eye. So please at least try and talk it out. make a forum where you can teach people to draw or something like that but don't go for each other's throats because y'all can't get along.4 points

Hey, all, here after a long absence. This is a good thread with several good points. I just want to suggest we consider another important dimension to the problem and/or its solution, which some would say is always the most important one: money. People (in companies, usually, but that doesn't matter) make money on the internet - a lot of money - and have a very strong interest in keeping the internet functional. The problem of AI slop clogging up the internet reminds me of decades ago when people were convinced, based on a lot of evidence, that spam was going to destroy email. It didn't, because corporations had a strong interest in keeping email functional, and used the same tech of the time to create spam filters that work SO much better now than they did back then. I really think that there will be a LOT of people-based effort to keep bot-generated content distinguishable from real content, and that in turn will keep the internet useful. I'm actually old enough to have taken a course in college called "Intro to Artificial Intelligence" decades ago, long before machine learning was a thing. "Expert systems" in the 1980s were going to replace everything from government administrators to nuclear power plant operators because they were so "smart." But we gradually learned that "AI" really never meant true intelligence the way it works in our heads, and has for all this time really just meant "code that does things that we're not used to seeing code do." So the definition of AI always shifts - as we get used to computers doing something tolerably well, it doesn't seem "intelligent" anymore. Unfortunately, attention-grabbing terms like "AI" are very useful for flashy marketing - "Artificial Intelligence" sells in a way that "glorified autocomplete" doesn't. My point is, just because it is doing things we haven't seen computers do before (at least, as well as now) it doesn't mean that it does what our brains do. Nor that we'll necessarily ever get there - there is SO much that our brains can do that no computers can, even today, nor in the foreseeable future! Now of course it's true that automation is going to cost people jobs, often jobs that we consider as requiring a lot of training, practice, and skill. Automation has always been a challenge to our social order. That was true in the 1870s when the automation was done by steam and gears; it was true in the 1980s, when travel agents got slowly but surely replaced by algorithms on travel sites; heck, we had stock-photography websites "putting artists out of business" back then. And it's true now with "AI". But there are still craftspeople doing every kind of work by hand, and there are still travel agents, and there will always be writers and illustrators -- though their markets and yes, maybe their tools, will change. So I agree that there's a very big shift in the works due to the advances in tech right now, but I think I'm more optimistic than many that it won't be the "end of the internet" nor the end of humanity.4 points

I like toons :3 Raviel, Toon Of Phantasms Level 10 DARK Fiend/Toon/Effect ATK 4000 DEF 4000 Cannot Be Normal Summoned or Set. Must be Special (from your hand) by Tributing 3 Toon monsters. Cannot attack the turn it is Summoned. While you control "Toon World" and your opponent controls no Toon monsters, this card can attack your opponent directly. Each time your opponent Normal Summons a monster(s); Special Summon 1 "Toon Phantasm Token" (Fiend-Type/Toon/DARK/Level 1/ATK 1000/DEF 1000) for each monster Summoned. These Tokens cannot declare an attack. Once per turn: Tribute 1 monster; this card gains ATK equal to the ATK of the Tributed monster, until the End Phase. Uria, Toon Of Searing Flames Level 10 FIRE Pyro/Toon/Effect ATK 0 DEF 0 Cannot Be Normal Summoned or Set. Must be Special (from your hand) by sending 3 Toon Traps you control to the GY. Cannot attack the turn it is Summoned. While you control "Toon World" and your opponent controls no Toon monsters, this card can attack your opponent directly. This card gains 1000 ATK&DEF for each Toon Trap card in your GY. Once per turn: you can Target 1 Set Spell or Trap card your opponent controls; destroy that target. Neither player can activate Spell or Trap cards in response to this effect's activation. Hamon, Toon Of Striking Thunder Level 10 LIGHT Thunder/Toon/Effect ATK 4000 DEF 4000 Cannot Be Normal Summoned or Set. Must be Special (from your hand) by sending 3 Toon Spells you control to the GY. Cannot attack the turn it is Summoned. While you control "Toon World" and your opponent controls no Toon monsters, this card can attack your opponent directly. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the GY: inflict 1000 damage to your opponent. While this card is in face-up Defense Position, monsters your opponent controls cannot target monsters for attacks, except this one.4 points

Ah, shit. Here I go again. Welcome, to... this. This gigantic list is my finished (?) archetype, and I use the question mark because it is never really finished. I have thought 4 times already that I have finished it but alas, I keep adding. But to be honest, I don't think I can fit much more unless I branch it out to Synchros too, which I will not be arsed to do so. Explainations (and introductions) are in order. Hi, I am Asmodeus, and this is my first archetype. The "Sin", and by extension the "Primordial" archetype revolves around the banish mechanic in its entirety. As I said in my wayyy older post about it, which I think is currently locked/hidden, "banish your cards, banish your opponent's cards, banish the field, banish the GY, banish his LP". Or something along those lines. It still applies. You do everything by banishing. Your cost is banishing (unless you bring out "Den of Sin", but you'll read about it later) and you get stronger the more you banish. You have a plethora of effects which means a plethora of ways to banish. Apart from the banishing, your pieces are mostly extremely high level DARK-Fiend Effect Monsters that can only be Special Summoned by fulfilling their conditions, for example by banishing 3 face-up "Sin" cards on your field. You might think, "wow, that's steep". It is. For a normal deck. Here, you will find that you won't be THAT bothered about steep costs. They ain't kindergarten easy, but they are not hard either. Another gimmick of this archetype is that every single monster on it has 0 DEF and they all share the effect of getting instantly destroyed if switched to face-up Defense Position, with the only exceptions being the plenty boss monsters. I'll stop you right there; the fact that the boss monsters are plenty doesn't mean they all fit in a single deck. Some of them are simply impossible to utilise in the same deck. And with that said, I will move on to the last two things I'd like to touch upon. This archetype has access to Ritual, Fusion and Xyz Monsters with two Link monsters (now my comment about Synchros makes more sense). The emphasis is on the Xyz and Fusion monsters and could be utilised in the same list, but it ain't easy. The big bosses mostly need full commitment on one side or the other. The last point. As of now, the archetype is 97 cards long. It is on the bigger side, as is apparent. I remember in my old post someone told me that I shouldn't make it larger than 90 cards because a Deck can fit 60 or something along those lines. I completely disagree. This is not a minor engine you can squeeze in other decks. This is no Structure Deck. It is a full-blown archetype with the appropriate size and it is better off that way. You, the reader, have full agency over how you would like to play it. You can mix and match, you can play around, you can experiment, you can mix it with other archetypes or engines, you can go for 40 card decks or 60 card decks. You can go full effect monsters, you can go Primordial Void Turbo, Xyz Only, Fusion Only, a mix of both, a mix of all. You are free to do as you like. I honestly don't know what people actually do when they check on a new archetype. They want to fuck around and fantasise about making a deck out of it? Do they actually do it on Dueling Book and/or EDOPro or what-the-name-is of that fanmade game? Do they print the cards and fuck around with friends? Do they just appreciate it for what it is, an expression of a form of art by a lover of Yu-Gi-Oh? Maybe they use it for inspiration? All apply and I accept it all. In fact, I would be most honored if any one of you did any single of these things. When I make a card, I make sure it is complete. I try to source the best possible artworks from Google and Pinterest. No matter whether I succeed or not, I try to have the perfect PSA on them, I try to think of balance (I will not delude myself, some shit you'll see is not balanced.). But even if I fail at those two, I try my best to provide quality. Something that yeah, you could imagine it being an actual product of Konami. That said, I will not be able to make the perfect post. The cards are simply way too many to post with Names, Effects, Attributes etc on text. It saddens me, but it would be too tedious, both for me and you, the reader, as well. I sincerely hope you enjoy this, and I would love your feedback below, whether positive or negative. Effect Monsters: Ritual Monsters: Fusion Monsters: Xyz Monsters: Link Monsters: I have to say something here. Is "co-linking" referring to TWO link monsters being linked to each-other? If yes, these two boys are fucking useless. The intended effect I wanted was that monsters these cards points to have X and Y effects applied. I would appreciate a correct PSA on these two. Spell Cards: Trap Cards:3 points
