Bloodrun
YCMaker. This feature, if turned ON, will help tremendously, in the "Oh.. I didn't know someone already made a thread for this" phenomenon. You don't have to do anything, but go to Settings > Board Settings > *scroll down* > Show "Similiar Threads" Table [ON] That's it, that's all that has to be done. If you use it, they will come. Enma Ai
that could help stop a LOT of spam threads in the questions & help/comments and suggestions threads i think its a good idea for all those n00bs new people
Administrators YCMaker Posted February 22, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted February 22, 2009 The problem with this is that it is extremely processor intensive, as it has to run a lot of additional mysql queries every time a thread is loaded. The server is already having difficulty keeping up with the amount of traffic we've been getting; now isn't the time to pile on something else like this. Your server, how good is your server? Is it a 'Committed' Server? If it's not, that's something you might want to look into. But oh well, least I gave it a shot. Administrators YCMaker Posted February 22, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted February 22, 2009 The site is run on a dedicated server, which has already been upgraded several times. If the growth continues, it may be necessary to deploy multiple dedicated servers in tandem.

I mean, I would go through and delete the un activated accounts, and the accounts that havent been logged into in over a year. Yes it will take down the number of members we have, but.. Number of members, or More money? I would go with the more Economical way...
Cyber Altair
Their's a plug-in that does that Bloodrun. We can delete accounts unactivated after what like a year if you feel they should have a chance or something? It's obviously gonna help out the site imo.
