Staple Cards

Recommended Posts

Advanced Format:

Breaker the Magical Warrior

Smashing Ground

Mirror Force

Sakuretsu Armor

Spirit Reaper

D.D. Warrior Lady

Nobleman of Crossout

i object, i don't consider those ones on the quote staples, in fact they're all have replaces or are not required for a certain strategy...

spirit reaper loses against marshmallon, sakuretsu can change for widespread ruin, even for michizure, not everybody have mirror force and still can play, breaker in some decks is just space lost (since the chaos deck is gone, he an D.D. warrior lady has lost their jobs)

so, check your strategy... i consider swords of revealing light and scapegoat more staples than any of those on the quote...

p.s.: god i hate that CPU quota message!!!

not all decks should use Marshmallon. in most cases, spirit reaper is better, because of hand raping.

Lightning Vortex also isnt a staple. i dont even run one.

and Snipe Hunter is only good in certain decks. like decks in which you are trying to pitch cards into the graveyard, like Dark World. or just for pitching Treeborn.

Sak = Not Staple

DDWL = Not staple

Snipe hunter is a staple in all decks but Gadget

You missed Ceasefire, everyone did. NEGATES NOBLEMAN. Nuff said.'

IF smashing is there, fissure should be too.

Reaper = Not staple, but fun, and MUCH BETTER THAN MARSHMALLON.

Treeborn in many decks, but Staple? Well, I have no answer there. xD

BRAIN CONTROL...

DUSTSHOOT...

Pot of avarice...

Meta has evolved, as has the staples list.

Oh quag, vortex is TERRIBLE xD

lol with things the way they are, im surprised i didnt see Cyber dragon at all. And honstly, with so many deck types this format, can you realy say there are any staples? if any at all Cyber dragon would (in my opinion) be the one and only staple. ppl running rftdd dont use preme or call, or even averice for that matter. Demise decks are running the same, + adv ritual art, and even some deck common charity. monarch, gravekeepr's spy and soul exchange. Dont forget card trooper. Dark world has card destruction and dark world dealings, and finaly crystal beast has baboon (some)

I think the term staple needs to be replaced with meta.

cyber dragon really aint a staple card, like it really isnt needed, i run most of my decks without cyber dragon

cyber dragon is only there to get an easy summon of a monster, and not as good as something like Magician of Faith or Breaker the Magical Warrior

the real staples are:

monsters: only sangan, sometimes magician of faith...

spells: premature burial, mystical space typhoon, sometimes heavy storm...

traps: torrential tribute, sometimes call of the haunted...

these cards runs in almost all decks... it only depends on your strategy...

Most decks that use EITHER Heavy storm or MST, USE HEAVY STORM.

The GOD staples are

Sangan

BOOK OF MOON (THE BEST CARD IN THE GAME. PERIOD)

Heavy Storm

Prem

Torrential

Ceasefire (New meta, thanks to nobleman at 2)
