And Spleko, I still use LADD competatively (and occasionally win against lightsworn)

I'm thinking I'll side 2-3 Light imprisoning mirrors which I can always switch in for LADD since they cripple lightsworns.

I'm thinking I'll side 2-3 Light imprisoning mirrors which I can always switch in for LADD since they cripple lightsworns.

 

I'll do that when I can find the bleeding thing (it has been lost, along with my MTG deck in the catacombs that is my school bag)

 

I got a new Megaman splice of Megaman and the Life Virus.

I have a new sprite made. Another character of my friend's. This one is known as Vargas. Vargas is essentially a time mage. Vargas doesn't quite manipulate time in the usual way. Vargas will actually use this power to mimic and copy other people's attacks. That is the basic run down of Vargas.

 

I also tried to use a different style. The style I was attempting was from a game called Melty Blood. If you have heard of it, it's some random japanese-only fighting game.

When Spleko gets bored he makes Swamp Things XD

First pokemon splice in a while. I personaly don't like the tentacles, but since it's sposed to be some kinda swamp monster, I figured I'd give em a shot.

Arcanine+Blasoise+Flygon Colors. I think thats it. But I did some tests with Exploud Colors and some Charmeleon parts but it didn't look good. There was very little scratching, if any, on this sprite, so its not a work I'm extreemly proud of, but it still looks good. Better than most of my old stuff imo.

Hi people' date=' I went on another one of my random Spriting ventures today cuz I couldn't think of anything else to do and school starts in a few days so I wanted to do something. So first, I looked back a few pages and noticed people were posting Digimon Splices. So first I'll post a digimon splice I made like a year ago but never got around to posting. S'not that great. I only made one since the recoloring to get the wings and body the same color was far to tedious and the result did not justify the means. It's Omnimon, Flamedramon, (two greatest digimon ever) and some pheonix thats like a god or something. I dont really know, I haven't done anything actually related to digimon in forever.

So yeah. Thats from like a year ago from one day I got bored in Computer Graphics. I had to rush it though since my teacher doesn't like microsoft paint :P

 

Now I made a sprite this morning. It took about 4-5 hours total (Half of it was editing the shading on the light wing). I've been playing alot of Yugioh Stardust Accelerator lately and I decided to sprite my favorite monster. Well actually my second favorite monster....well technically its my 5th fav. Kuriboh being number 1. Then all 3 winged kuribohs. (Kuriboh LADD Plasma Control FTW! XD) . But yeh. Light and Darkness Dragon. I hate that he's not very competetive anymore D: stupid Lightsworn.... But I still use him, just cus his art is soooooo amazing. But yeah, enough boring text that I know you have no interest in. Onto the sprite.

But first a few things about how I made it.

-Entirely made in microsoft paint (greatest graphic art program ever!!)

-I took a picture of the original card of LADD from the Yugioh Wiki page for it.

-I Traced around all the pertinent lines that would become my lineart with Yellow ontop of the Picture in the Card.

-I filled in all the white on the page with black (Recolor trick with eraser)

-I made all the Yellow lineart I had made white (Recolor trick with eraser)

-I went to "Image" > "Attributes" > "Black and White" and got the following.

-I grabber an Umbreon Sprite and an Absol Sprite.

-Got 5 basic colors from each. A midtone, A highlight, 2 Shadows, and a color to replace the black with.

-I filled the white in on each side with the respective black and white Midtones.

-Added Shadow 1

-Added Shadow 2

-Added Highlights

-Shaded wings with more detail and some other parts.

-Used Typhlosions Eye since I suck at Scratching Eyes.

-Gave it a nice funky border to cover up the fact that I was too lazy to Scratch the rest of the wings, but Shhhhhhh, don't tell anyone, it's a secret.

-Got final product.

-Uploaded All pictures to Photobucket account.

-Took Bathroom break.

-Started Typing.

-Realized that If I type anything past this you'll loose interest.

haha, Thanks. I'm starting to really enjoy pixel overs and Scratches instead of splices ^.^ . It took probably a rough 3-4 hours. About 45 min to an hour to get the black outline perfected. Then only about 30 min to get all the colors in, just basic shading. Then about another 30 min to touch up the shading, so it fit the body and looked somewhat respectable. Then About an hour and a half to do the chekerboard shading at the places that needed it (not sure what it's actually called). Namely, every feather on the Light wing....

 

P.S. I never got a chance to do the border properly either. It's not black, but it doesn't have those funky random chunks of a dark color that make it look more 3d. I was going to do it, but I couldn't find a good shade for the Light side, and I thought only one side with it would look dumb.

 

P.S. #2 I just noticed I completely forgot to do the Claw thingy on the Dark wing -_- ..... I'll have to fix that at some point.

I once tried pixeling Slifer' date=' it took me 3 days and it still turned out horrible.

a few months ago I lost the will to splice, and I've just been doing fakemon since.

Yeah, Slifer would be quite the challenge. Next weekend I think I'm gunna try Rainbow Dragon, since crystal Beasts are one of my favorite decks to play.

 

And yeah, I hate that I didn't put more effort into finding border colors for it. But alas I was overcome with laziness after those stupid wings. I'll probably fix them at some point. They are quite annoying. The whole thing like pops out almost, and then you look at the border and it's one flat color which ruins it.

If anyone rememebrs last year when I made a few random scratches. Two were like electric doggies. One looked like it was made of rubber :P

Well this is the final Evolution

Some of the borders and colors got messed up when I switched it from .xcf to .rng for whatever reason but whatever. I haven't gotten far on the sprite. I tried re-sizing and then Pixel over-ing. But it proved to be very difficult. I'll probably scratch it at some point. But yeh, for now tell meh what you think of this pic at least ^.^

Kinda. Idk. Its just really like an electric canine. Its like Luxray, but not a lion :P The plug on the tail is just there for grins. And I didnt want to copy raichus thunder bolt. I sposed for grins he could always have the pwoer to stick it in like a nearby electrical outlet if he fights inside for like a crazy amazing power boost
