How do you?

I'm new, and as my first card I'm trying to make my own picture with a render and a background, how do I mix the two so that the render is directly mixed in with the background. Like how Father Wolf does (I got the info from my friend) he makes (I'm simply using ones from photobucket and giving credit) the backgrounds and mixes renders with them. So, how do I accomplish this?
