Half Life was revolutionary in FPS games and helped set the base for how FPS games should be made. Half Life 2 made almost an even bigger impact, with excellent graphics for its time and one of the greatest physics engines ever made. It was the start for games like Counter Strike and Team Fortress 2, and its newest prodigy child, Left4Dead.

It was really fun, gave a nice change of scenery and even gave a new enemy, plenty of good action in it as well. It also continued the story incredibly. I'd have to say that, overall, I actually prefer it to episode 1.

If you haven't gotten it, get it as soon as possible because it has some huge plot points that you really need to see for yourself.

Yeah I will, once I buy the Orange Box. Though it's been so long since I've played Ep 1 that I've forgotten much of the plot there anyway

I will be saying the same after I get the Orange Box.

Though based on the vids I've seen for HL2 ep 2 on youtube' date=' there has to be a HL4 later on

Next game is episode 3, not HL3

You atleast know the premise for ep3 when you go through ep2, but knowing Valve, and how long they're taking to do this one, it's going to be amazing.

If they were to do a HL3, I think they would have to go through another time warp thing like they did for HL2, but that would kinda mess up the romance between Gordon and Alyx.

Wait, who said there's going to be a Half-Life 3?

HL2 ep1 + HL2 ep2 + HL2 ep3 = HL3. Valve and Steam confirmed this
