A●O●J
Discuss the new game and what your opinion is on it. Online hasn't been really improved and its still meh. I feel as if they could have improved the slow motion effects a little. Ive played half life 2 mods such as SMOD were the slow motion bullet time effects were much better. I could see the bullets flying out and all the animations were slow and everything. Hopefully the next FEAR will be a little more promising. All in all, it was an ok/Good expeirence. ragnarok1945
Think there's already a thread for this, but meh. Well the ending was even more confusing that the first FEAR. And in terms of scariness, this one failed in scaring me. Didn't even come CLOSE to jumping after the entire single player campaign
Holy Babylon
I'm just so happy that they fixed the bland graphics the first F.E.A.R. had. Those sucked, it was like I was playing an N64 port on my 360.
ragnarok1945
Personally I felt FEAR 2 was a little TOO bright. You had to make it dark enough to give SOME sense of creepiness

ragnarok1945
it's not that it's not a good game, but most horror games require the dark for the setting to work (think Dead Space)

You had to make it dark enough to give SOME sense of creepinessThat's funny considering I found it so dark at first that I couldn't even see the outline of some of the soldiers. I guess it's personal opinion.
Holy Babylon
It might just be our television sets. My tv is all messed up when I play Fallout 3 or Call of Duty.

Same here, which I set my brightness high anyway so I can see, but in turn it negates the horror at times
Holy Babylon
I usually have my brightness on 30 and my contrast at 34, it helps keep your head from hurting when you're playing for a long time.
ragnarok1945
define a long time. I played the game from beginning to end and I didn't feel it was that long
Holy Babylon
I usually play games an hour at a time, that way I can split the game evenly, anything over that is a long time.

Holy Babylon
I always feel like I'm wasting money when I do that. Like there was no point in buying a $60 game when I only play it for a few hours.

Yeah but that's why I play it over afterwards, gives me a chance to pick up on what I missed the previous time
Holy Babylon
Oh, I see. Play the normal game, then go for the unlockables. Okay then, that's good too.
