This Fan Fic is made by Finalflash30(me) and Fenrir's Herald. [spoiler=Chapter 1: Thieves get thieved?!]Jet steered carelessly through the busy street. It was around midnight and the Babylon Rogues had just stolen a 90 karat gold staff. It was an easy catch and no skill was really used. Storm was beside Jet making sure that no one got in their way. If some one did, they would be torn apart in seconds. Wave was directly behind Jet. She was making sure no one would get behind them. They carved through the traffic and the cops were no where close enough to catch up. “Hehehe, Too easy!” Jet snickered. “Ha! Yea Jet. They didn’t even try to stop us!” Storm bellowed. Wave rolled her eyes. “It’s not over yet so focus on getting back to the ship!” Meanwhile, behind them Team Eclipse was racing to catch up. Umbra the wolf, their leader was steering past cars and trucks while Lunas the echidna was following. Rej the Reject was above in the sky looking down on the Babylon Rogues. Umbra finally was behind Wave. Lunas was to Umbra’s left. “Hey you guys! Slow down! That treasure is ours!” Umbra howled. Jet chuckled. “Well then, you’ll have to catch us!” Jet zoomed forward and went down a dark street with no traffic. Storm and Wave shrugged and caught up. They dispersed from their original positions and were boarding freely, knowing that the rookies had no chance of catching them. Lunas managed to catch up to Umbra. “We can’t possibly keep up ya know.” Lunas exclaimed. He was carefully driving his bike on the narrow road. Rej glided down and was beside Umbra now. “We could always sabotage the road ahead.” He stated in his robotic tone. Umbra sneered. “Ruby has it all covered, we just have to keep up!” They nodded and with new found speed bursted by the Babylon Rogues. One thing was for sure, and that was that they hated being beat. “Damnit! That pup is trying to out do us.” Jet roared. Storm was about to say something but was cut off as Jet and Wave increased their speed and caught up with Team Eclipse. He sighed and caught up with them. Rej rotated his torso 180 degrees and brought his machine gun out. He started firing at the Babylon Rogues. Jet effortlessly spun and twisted, dodging the bullets. Wave threw a blue orb and it sprouted an energy shield that protected them. They reached a bridge and Rej threw a grenade. It exploded in front of the Rogues which made them slow down. Team Eclipse was past the bridge when a feminine fox chuckled and snapped her fingers. The bridge suddenly collapsed and the Rogues were sent spiraling down into a deep abyss. Team Eclipse got off their extreme gear and looked down. Ruby, who was the fox from before smiled. “So how’d I do?” She asked. “As perfect as always.” Umbra replied. She blushed and Team Eclipse made their way to the registration area. =====Meanwhile===== Knuckles and Tails were hanging out in an abandoned construction site. Tails had a regular skateboard which he was practicing on, and tried out some Ollies and 360´s. "There´s no need to practice, ya know." Knuckles sighed. "Sonic had told us that we´re not going to compete in this tournament, so just knock it off, will ya?" "Hey! Just because Sonic says that we´re not going to enter it..." Tails jumped off his board and kicked it up into his hand. "...Doesn´t mean that I can´t enter it by myself!" Knuckles rolled his eyes. "Whateva..." He shrugged, and closed his eyes. "I´m having a nap!" "You´re no fun!" Tails moaned, as he continued to practice. Suddenly, Sonic rushed up the construction site and stopped in front of them, and he had his hover-board in his hands. "What´s up!" He chuckled, and Tails was overjoyed to see him. "Sonic!" He rushed up to him and slapped him a High 5. Knuckles was about to sleep when he heard that Sonic arrived. "Hey, what´s up, old buddy!" He shook hands with Sonic. "Aaw, nothing actually!" Sonic replied. "Just chasin´ after those Babylon Rouges again." "The Babylon Rouges?!" Tails was shocked. "But why are they back?!" "Dunno..." Sonic shrugged his shoulders. "But as I was chasing them, another group of Riders showed up from nowhere and knocked me off my board! I think they are about to join the next tournamrent, and I´m gonna join it!" "Yay! Can I come to? Pleeeeeeease?!" Tails stared at him with teared puppy eyes. "Oooh! Stop looking at me like that!" Sonic laughed, and rubbed his head. "Of course you guys can come too!" "Yaaay!" Tails smiled and hugged Sonic. "Thanks, Sonic!" Knuckles stood up and grabbed his board. "Well...let´s get to the registration then!" He said happily. Sonic nodded, as he and Knuckles jumped up on their boards and darted off. Tails pressed a button on his skateboard, and it transformed into a hoverboard, as he jumped up on it and speeded after the others. ***** "Come on, come on! The registration is closing soon!!!" Breezie was jumping upside down like crazy, and Eless and Aura did their best to catch up with her. "Calm down, Breezie!" Eless chuckled, as she went over to her and held her still. "The registration isn´t over ´til WE are in, right Aura?" "W-What? Oh......right!" She replied nervously. Aura was nervous, but also exited, since she had heard that Sonic was going to compete in the tournament as well. She blushed a bit of the thought that she was actually going to meet him! "Hey, Aura! What´s up?" Eless said and patted Aura on the shoulder. "Oh, nothing, Eless!" Aura giggled. "Are we in yet?" "Yup! Just got us registrated!" Eless gave her a computer chip with her name on it. "C´mon! Let´s go!" Aura nodded, and rushed up to meet with Breezie, who stood outside a hangar door. "Ooohh! Look, Aura! It´s our hangar!" She said in a curious tone. "Yea, I know!" Aura replied, as she, Eless and Breezie put their computer chip´s into a small hole, and they were registrated. "Welcome to the tournament, Team Destiny!" A robotic voice said, as the hangar door opened and revealed a small workshop. There was a desk filled with several repair gadjets, a virtual-reality console for testing the race gear, and three hammocks on the wall. "This is sweet!" Breezie giggled, as she jumped up in one of the hammocks. "This feels nice!" Eless snickered a bit. "Always the cheerful one, eh?" She chuckled, and went to Aura. "Hey, Aura? Ready to race tomorrow?" It would be pwnage if that staff were the Jeweled Sceptre. Seriously, why does Sonic use a board in the first place? It slows him down... majorly... Blurg, I guess I'm just pushing to get those crappy boards out of the way... although why Shadow can only push 200 with his air shoes on is beyond me.
