Sartorius
http://www.metagame.com/yugioh.aspx?tabid=33&ArticleId=10624 North Las Vegas, NV (February 17, 2009) — Due to circumstances beyond its control, Upper Deck regrets to announce that all future Organized Play programs and events in North America for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME have been canceled. The unavailability of product and prizes affects all upcoming North American Yu-Gi-Oh! OP programs and events, including Shonen Jump Championships, Regional Qualifiers, the National Championship and the monthly Hobby League program For months, Upper Deck has continued in good faith to support Yu-Gi-Oh! OP, so as not to abandon the player and retailer community of which it has been an integral part for six years. Upper Deck remains committed to the Yu-Gi-Oh! community and will continue to fight Konami’s actions in court. Upper Deck hopes to once again be able to offer Duelists the high caliber events to which they have become accustomed. I live in York, North Yorkshire, we have only ever had 3 official Tournaments here within 8 years. .Requiem
Not really, the contract between Konami and Upper Deck has ended. Now that they are fighting about it.
Flame Dragon
Even though I don't go to tournaments that really does suck. What I don't get is didn't Upper Deck win it case against Konami in Europe and aren't the courts sideing with Upper Deck here? So why is it taking so long for these legal matters to be resolved here? Felix
I don't understand all this Upper Deck, Konami larck but which would be better for running tournaments and so on? I'm just wodering how people could make the OP better and less focused on money and which people own tele-DADs.

Skyfi
Does this mean no sneak preview? There will be a Sneak Preview' date=' but it won't be run by Upper Deck.[/quote'] Thanks, Star :) Also does this mean, at the Sneak Preview, we might not be able to expect the same thing, Such as getting that 6th pack after five duels. Or the fact that you can only enter three times. Well actually that last one might just be where I go.
OmegaWave
Konami is gonna die now. They have just lost alot of loyal fans. Including me. (BTW, does this affect tournaments at Hobby Shops? Like "The Days of Knights"? It's every Wednesday. Not monthly....that's the only tournament I go to...so if that is alright, i'm fine then...)
