Hello all' date=' I am showcasing ALL my splices for the first time....ever.

Now, I know that some are good and some aren't, but I don't care.

I take all CONSTRUCTIVE criticism respectfully, and will try to follow

the criticism as thouroughly as my abilities will allow. Without further adieu, here they are....

Your problem is saving all of them as .jpg. You will definitely need to redo them.

When I go to save the pics, .png is not one of the choices it gives me

I'll try again' date=' so other than the fact that they're all .jpg, do you have any input on my splices?

[/quote']

It is really hard to critique splices when they are saved as jpg.

The only way I can critiques your splices is if they are saved as png.

Sorry.

question.

Whats the best program to use

[in my showcase' date= its all paint]

i find it easier to recolor on paint but easier to splice on gimp.

edit:

looking at my showcase, for some reason photobucket made em all scratchy, they weren't that bad before.

and

the splice so far.

Not bad! It's going well.

Here's a tip. Make the background white. It the background is that whole checkerboard thing on GIMP, it's hard to see if there are missing borders and such. I would make the background white and then, once the splice is finished, paste the splice on the transparent background. ^_^

Which program is better? Whichever one you feel more comfortable with. Use the one you know how to use the best.

Hey' date=' sorry I haven't been active.

I made a new recolor

[img']http://i44.tinypic.com/wo67b.png[/img]

What happened to the dark borders in the mouth and chest area?

That and on the front feet, well, they're kinda invisible. I can see the toes, though.

Fix those things.

@ Kaiser: It's up to you. Just remember where the light source is... ^_^

I'll be a teacher if it's all right. I've been spriting for a fairly long time now (2+ years to be exact) and would be glad to help out fellow spriters in any way I can.

Example of my work:

GardvileEditT.png

Gardevoir ~ Weavile (both sprites are from Platinum)

The back arm is not attached to the body?

The back arm is not attached to the body?

I was going by Weavile's Platinum sprite when making the arms. It's arm is elevated to a pretty high degree' date=' so that's what I took into consideration when I was spriting the back arm. I'll see if I can make any adjustments to it though.

[/quote']

Platinum's Weavile is also jumping, leaning forward and turned around, Gardevior, however is standing in the same direction, but its body isn't turned.

Because of these body positions, the arms would be in different places.

Sure you are in. ^_^

@ Eocdragon: If the light source is to the left of the sprite, why is light shining directly on the leaf from the top?

And yes, all sprites look toward the left. (Their right) {Unless there is some sprite I don't know about...}

@ Kaiser Axle: Never, never make the borders green on a yellow body. Make the border of Rayquaza's body dark yellow. (The dark yellow from Bayleef, to be exact.)

You have a lot of "floating pixels" in there, especially around the leaves for some reason.. Make sure to delete anything not white where all white is supposed to be.

*yawn* Going to bed. See y'all in the morning! ^_^

I have decided to try and join The Pokemon Sprite Splicers Club. I've been on the fence about joining for a long while. I never had good luck with clubs, the ones I did enter would always be in active and close. I can see this one can hold the test of time, and I really have no reason to not join.

I am coming here so I can graduate and join the club. I do have an entire thread of splices and sprites, but I've decided just to show one here, see how it is. I am looking forward to any tips, suggestions, critique, and stuff you might offer forward.

Flaflare-1.png

This here is one of my favorite splices. A simple creation, but one I find much to cute to ignore. I call it Flaflare, it is a combination of Flareon and Flaffy. No real purpose, just a fun combination.
