Well, look at the lighter spot on the top of Voltorb and the shading on the bottom. From the shading, we can tell that the light is somewhere in the top-left corner. Now, bear in mind, and this is very important, not all Pokemon sprites have the same shading! This means that, If you want to make a Pokemon splice, the pieces you add on may not have the same shading.Say, for example, that you splice Voltorb with Geodude's arms. While Voltorb's light source in the top-left corner, Geodude may have its light source in the bottom-left corner. If you splice on Geodude and make no changes to the shading on the arms, your splice's arms will have one light source while your body will have another. Also, when splicing or recoloring, do not erase the shading! That will make your sprite look 2-D!! It is very important that you check the light sources of the Pokemon you're splicing and change the shading accordingly! Raelen
On the Polywhirl splice, there is some red around the left eye. I know that's not supposed to be there. Also, look where the light is coming from. It's coming from the top left.Make sure most of the light is shining on the right parts of the object. There are some shading problems, especially on the things above the feet. Make sure the light parts are near the left, not the right. Also, since the things cast a shadow on the feet, since the feet are still bright. They should be shaded. The left wing should have more light on it, since it is closer to the light source. The right wing is fine. Also, make sure the right wing casts a shadow on the right hand. That's it for that splice, except that the horn looks a little crooked. The Seedot splice is messed up. The yellow is all over the place and there are a lot of random, green pixels. I would recommend a complete do-over. On the Lugia, again, look where the light source is. The light is shining from the front. Neither the back or the tail should not have any lightparts. The whiskers are the wrong color. I think they would look better white. There are a lot of borders that are not recolored. They are still in the border colors of Lugia, not Sealeo. That, and the top part of the right wing seems too flat. Your last splice is pretty messed up. There is mustard and ketchup all over the place. There are some missing borders that you need to add.Mainly, the colors are just all over the place and there is almost no shading. You should re-do this one because I like the idea. Any more? Night
not really the others are even more messed up but the thing is its pretty hard to shade and put in more light and darken it and stuff like that
Raelen
not really the others are even more messed up but the thing is its pretty hard to shade and put in more light and darken it and stuff like that You basically just need to know where light would fall on it if it was a #-D object. Other than that, you can pretty much guess.

Raelen
Can I be a teacher? If you can do this for me. Post your best splice and then tell me what is wrong with it. ^_^
Felix Culpa
Okay, i can do that. Well, first of all with this one, the tail is in an unnatural position. I should've put the tail behind that wing. Most of the shading is okay, but the left wing (our right) has some odd shading close to the body. The body should be less obvious. :)
Raelen
Okay' date=' i can do that. Raelen
Yeah' date=' Prince. By the way, how are we going to graduate them. Splice count. What?[/quote'] Students graduate when the student becomes good enough to enter TPSSC. Either that, or they are good enough that they get harder to teach. As for your cry for help Prince, I will contact the teachers and get a tutorial on shading together. And another one about borders.
