Soul Legacy
Just plain scared of the vampires turning on him if they found out what he'd done.
ragnarok1945
I doubt it, they were fiercely loyal to him at the beginning of evolution, long before Lucian was born

ragnarok1945
You have to remember that Victor only spared Marcus because he thought if Marcus died all vampires will die

ragnarok1945
And obviously he would never test such a theory because he didn't want to give up his power. Made me wonder what he had planned if the lycan revolution never came about

ragnarok1945
That won't be needed, the point is, that film is the only one where we saw Victor before his conversion, and we need more evidence than just his death bed

ragnarok1945
After watching Rise of the Lycans, it made me question exactly how much humanity really is in the 1st generation lycans. In Evolution it is said they're purely animal, but if that's true they would have killed Lucian right off the bat when he saved Sonja's life
Soul Legacy
Thats it? its ok if it is, or was that just a post, because i totally agree with you.........
ragnarok1945
the latter, of course. You do need to look at the 3 films separately at first. See right now I'm still trying to determine just how long does it take in terms of isolate will a vampire/lycan be weakened. See after 200 years of sleep, the elders first rise as withered forms, barely able to do anything. It takes hours before they can regain their full strength. On the other hand, despite being imprisoned in that cell for about 800 years, William came out still in perfect fighting condition
Soul Legacy
Yes, thats what ive always thought, it is abit strange, no? ;)
ragnarok1945
See, here is what most people thought: the Elders that rise so weakly only apply to Victor and Amelia. Marcus would not because he is the original vampire. Just as William is the original lycan, the rule does not apply to him. But I read the book Underworld Rise of the Lycans as well, and near the end it says the rule applies to all 3 Elders, Marcus included
Soul Legacy
Indeed, it must be an error with the movie...
ragnarok1945
well, the only explanation I have will depend on the blood requirement. See both species must feed on blood. But while a vampire's urge is more controlled, a lycan's urge will go completely out of control if it doesn't feed. And if you recall when Victor first rose (Underworld 1), he fed off blood so he could return to full strength. Maybe lycans do not need blood in that sense it keeps up their strength
Soul Legacy
Because by heart, i think Lycans are more powerful
ragnarok1945
after watching the 3rd Underworld, maybe it's by what happened in there that made them that way. Certainly would be why the vampires were weaker compared to the first two underworld films
Soul Legacy
Yes, the Lycans being locked up in those cages and used as slaves so long must have made them stronger because of there anger, if you get what i mean.
ragnarok1945
Yeah I know. Being put into a cage all the time as a slave forces you to be strong. If not, you won't survive. And since Lucian has created enough of the 2nd generation lycans, that means despite being Victor's favorite, he too is expendable
