ragnarok1945
Tell that to Victor, he didn't change one bit from the moment he was turned vampire
Soul Legacy
Yeah, but he might have changed in thought, but never showed it..........
ragnarok1945
He was a vicious warlord. Nothing from all 3 films showed him of any compassion and understand, just power hungry
Phantom Roxas
He did regret condemning Sonja to death, and I'm certain that qualifies under compassion.
ragnarok1945
It is why he spared Selene years later. Plus the fact if he WAS compassionate he wouldn't have killed Soyja in the first place
Phantom Roxas
So apparently letting Selene live isn't compassionate? He was put on the spot to decide whether his own daughter should live or die. He had to "preserve the purity of bloodlines", so he had to decide yes, even though he regretted it. ragnarok1945
In retrospect I was surprised he DID allow Selene to live. You heard it yourself how she was the only one who knew where William's cell was located. Victor was foolish to allow a chance for the cell to be located again
Phantom Roxas
Yes, he was very idiotic about that. Still, that shows that he's compassionate. Stupid, but compassionate.
ragnarok1945
Well, personally if I was Victor, I would have cut off William's arms and legs. He'd still live (and thus not prevent all the lycans from following him to the grave as Marcus warned him would happen), yet never be able to rampage ever again. Then it wouldn't matter whether Selene lives or not
Phantom Roxas
Wow, that's actually a good plan.
ragnarok1945
Well, at least according to the 3 Underworld films. If William can simply regenerate his arms and legs, then I'd have to come up with something else
Phantom Roxas
Simple: Kill William then and there, then seek out any surviving Lycans. While you're out at, kill Selene so she'll never know the truth.
ragnarok1945
how can any Lycans survive? (According to Victor's POV). The moment William dies, every other lycan will die with him. And Victor needs the lycans as his slaves
Phantom Roxas
Didn't the lycans betray him before that point though, so he really can't keep them as slaves?
ragnarok1945
that was the FIRST generation lycans, and that was after William was imprisoned. The 2nd generation that Lucian created had no knowledge of that
Soul Legacy
Whats going on?
ragnarok1945
Oh we're talking about Victor to see if he changed from all 3 films we've seen. Did you think he changed?
Soul Legacy
Then and again, yeah.
ragnarok1945
strange to see you see that. What I REALLY want is some flashbacks of the way he was before the vampire conversion
Soul Legacy
That would be good
ragnarok1945
Remember, he was a warlord before Marcus turned him anyway, so if there's any proof he was more than just a cold hearted bastard, it'd be there
Soul Legacy
Indeed
ragnarok1945
Killing his daughter in Underworld 3 (at least to me) only made him more cold hearted
Soul Legacy
Yep, but some people must do good things but become cold hearted to do so, and congrats on 10,000 posts!
ragnarok1945
thanks Well, at the end he also blamed Lucian for killing her, and not putting any responsibility on himself
