Advanced Crystal Beasts may look cooler, and Advanced Carbuncle gets to Special Summon the Spell and Trap Crystal Beasts when it's summoned in any way. But, they can only stay out if the one Field Spell of theirs is out.

 

Crystal Beasts are better than Advanced Crystal Beasts.

 

My vote is for the not so cool looking, easier to keep out, Crystal Beasts.

haha, I run a crystal beast deck.. I guess there can be more then 1 type of crystal beast deck... Mine is defend a lot at first.. When I fill up my spell and trap cards, I play crystal abundance and kick them when they're down.. I also like using Crystal Tree to help use Crystal Abundance. Also, I have Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder He's a good protection when in Defense mode. I like using Amethyst Cat and Emerald Tortoise as a combo. You attack directly with Amethyst (600 damage) and then put it into defense mode. Also, it helps to have equp cards on Amethyst. I run Axe of dispair and Molevolent Nuzzler to boost it up. I guess thats what kind I have xD
