I need a good set for Alakazam.

Alakazam @ Choice Scarf

Timid ( +Spe, -Atk)

252 Sp Atk/252 Spe/4 HP

Psychic

Grass Knot

Trick/Signal Beam/HP Ice

Trick/Signal Beam/HP Ice/Focus Blast

Choice Scarf because I have bad Speed IV's and I like the extra speed.

EV's are standard, and Timid is the best nature on Alakazam.

Psychic for BP 90 STAB, could be replaced as I don't like the coverage on it, although it hits alot for neutral.

Grass Knot to remedy my team's weakness to Suicune. BP 120 on Gyara, BP 100 on Suicune and BP 80 on Swampert, so it's a better option than Energy Ball.

Trick rapes walls that normally wall Alakazam, like Blissey and Snorlax.

Signal Beam for good coverage on the stuff that dodges Psychic, and it rapes Celebi.

HP Ice stops dragons. And hits Flying types like Zapdos hard.

Focus Blast is also an option, but I don't like it. The only good part is that it covers Steel types. Non-Psychic Steels stop this thing in it's tracks if Zam runs Signal Beam, and Focus Blast gets around them, along with hitting Darks like TTar and Weavile. I don't like the low accuracy and the fact that Signal Beam covers all of the things Focus Blast covers, except for Steel. Although Focus Blast does have 120 BP, it's too inaccurate for me.

Help/Suggestions on the moveset.

Grass Knot stays and I have a preference for Signal Beam. I don't like Psychic all that much though.

I think FB is good. It'll hit the dark guys.

Alakazam'z too fragile

Trick? I'm not sure. I guess.

Trick and Choice Scarf cripples walls and makes none Choice sweepers that weren't supposed to be less efficiant' date=' especially ones that require set up.[/b']

Pretty cool guy' date=' you should clone it so you still have the option depending on what you think your opponent will throw at you. Why don't you like Psychic though:?

[/quote']

Don't have the cloning code sadly.

I don't like Psychic because it doesn't have enough coverage. It hits almost everything for neutral, but that's about it. Although Psychic does hit more things than Signal Beam, but Signal Beam hits Darks and stuff.

I just don't know which moves to use. I like Trick, but I also like the extra coverage provided by HP Ice, and I need Grass Knot.

Maybe:

Psychic

Focus Blast

Signal Beam

Grass Knot

?

What guys are you planning to use with it? If this guy is to take out multiple specific threats then Choice Scarf is perfect for ditching after you've done your job, then you can perform another job of picking off the stragglers.

Team is:

Gliscor

Cresselia

Snorlax

Hitmontop

Heatran

Alakazam

You've seen all of them except for my recent Gliscor and the tentative Alakazam. Swampert walls this team, and Suicune laughs at my HP Ghost Heatran. Cress is just set-up fodder for Cune.

Alakazam fits in nicely as it counters SubSpore Breloom(on a free switch), bulky waters (without any CMs), and Celebi.

You seem to lack some strong Physically offensive power. Has that been a problem?

Anyway' date=' just try it out on Shoddy and see which you get a better win average with.

Hitmontop has been able to take most of the Special Walls because Blissey is so dominant in the meta.

Scizor is a great replacement for Hitmontop as it retains the priority moves but has a much higher attack stat for priority moves to come off of.

Maybe CBScrubzor>Hitmontop

Also, CBScrubzor is 10 letters, I now have a nickname!

Well another Choice set would seem a bit much, I don't deny there potency but by using so many Choice Pokes your just asking to be set up on. I mean it doesn't have to be a set team, just do what Zex does; He has like 30 Pokes that he can organise in different way and still make an efficiant team out of them.

SD is much more destructive, just if you use that you need to be careful of Scizor's counters since they would need to have taken some heavy damage before BP can kill them even with the +2 ATK..

With CB you can just spam U-Turn since that does lots of damage and give you a free switch.

Breloom is actually kinda bad. It's only good stat is really its ATK, imo.

Honchkrow is lv55 now (thanks to that guy near Sunnyshore with 2 Gyrados) and Skarmory has grown 23 levels in the day care. Next is Arcanine to train.

As for Blesh's team, I'm not so good at making teams, but I think:

Miltank

Spiritomb

Lapras

Charizard

?????????

?????????

I don't find either Staraptor or Breloom that good.

WHAT? Breloom is one of the best pokemon in the game. Just look at the tier list.

(IMO) A killer Tyranitar moveset:

TYRANITAR@ Choice Scarf

Fire Punch

Ice Punch

ThunderPunch

Ariel Ace

No, that isn't killer. Infact it down right sucks.

~ Fire Blast

~ Ice Beam

~ Crunch / Stone Edge

~ Earthquake / Stone Edge

That is better. Also Scarf T-Tar is one of his worse sets IMO.
