My team when I got to Oreburgh in Pearl the first time was Turtwig, Starly, Shinx, Geodude, Onix and Machop. Fighting-type Pokemon are just as good when battling Rock Types. Plus, they come in handy in future battles like the ones with Byron and Candice. Since Steel Types and Ice Types are weak against Fighting Types. Candice's Medicham, even though it knows Ice Punch, not so much.

In R/S/E it's easy to defeat Roxanne because Marshtomp (Ground/Water) Can eliminate Geodude and Nosepass with ease, Combusken (Fire/Fighting) can whoop Geodude and Nosepass with Double Kick. And Grovile (Grass) can slaughter both with absorb.

To get Miltank, use Pokeradar around route 210, above the Day Care city. They're rare to find.

I can't seem to find a stupid Tauros -_-

And Dongle to get a Gengar isn't working out -.-

This is what I'm thinking:

Sceptile

Swampert

Tauros

Gengar

Charizard

Blastoise

Using starters because you like them isn't smart. Keep the stuff I've bolded then make a list of other stuff you might like to use, when you've done that post them to me. I will tell you which Pokemon to use and give you movesets. You still won't be very good as you still don't understand Meta play but at least the team will be eficiant enought to beat other people with as much experience as you.

Felix, you just said yourself that Tauros is good. Swampert has the max stats of all starters. And Gengar is mean in Sp. ATK.

Not Blaziken, he's the weakest of all the fire starters.

Venasaur is too slow.

How about Wobuffet? He's virtually the strongest Pokemon. If it knows Counter, Mirror Coat, Destiny Bond and something else.

I like Hypno, but it isn't strong.

Lapras doesn't seem strong.

Not venomoth.

No Altaria.

No Arcanine...

Perhaps Spiritomb?

I said keep the ones in bold, not get rid of them. And I meant PM the ones you like. Also, Wobuffet is Uber so he's out.

At a glance it looks nice, train it properly and it should be win.

Ok then. But Sceptile's is average and Charizard's average. Blastoise is very meh.

Average Pokes don't do well in the hands of n00bs who can't train them properly.

Arcanine is win. Venasaur < Sceptile

Typhlosion > Blazekin.

50$ say Typloshin and Feraligatr become OU when the new games come out.
