Snorlax hasn't been a good tank in a long time. Ferrothorn, Gliscor, Reuniclus, and Conkeldurr are all really good tanks. Of them Ferrothorn is the best at taking hits, but the worse at hitting back.

I believe bastodon is a good one, al long as it isnt against a ground type it'll take all hits

It's good in UU but far too useless, offense-wise to make any sort of impact on the OU tier. It can learn Metal Burst which is cool.

Best Metal Burst set for Bastiodon

Bastiodon @ Leftovers

Sturdy

252 HP / 252 Sp. Def / 4 Def

Sassy ( +Sp. Def / - Spd)

- Metal Burst

- Taunt

- Toxic / Stealth Rock

- Earthquake / Stone Edge

Trying my best to find my own personal wall. Quagsire should be at the list. Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and Forretress match as well.

So please evaluate my Snorlax. Not the best but:

Snorlax

Immunity

Impish Nature

Leftovers

Male

-Toxic

-Stockpile

-Counter

-Protect

Should I replace the leftovers with a Shell Bell?

Bastiodon is far outclassed by Aggron, who has more defense and more attack. Plus Aggron also learns Metal Burst AND Head Smash, with Rock Head.

Aggron is great, except that it's 4x weakness to Ground, which I believe is what keeps it in UU. (Might be over-exagerating, but you get the point. It cripples Aggron so much).

But both Bastiodon and Aggron share the same weakness and for a "tank" to be having 2 4x weaknesses to 2 common types, well that's bad

According to Bulbapedia a new pokemon game will be revealed in about a month

Any thoughts on what it might be

Hopefully a remake for Emerald which actually gives post-game content, or a remake of FRLG which doesn't reuse the same music for everything

Whatever it is is, I'll love it. Probably an equivalent to Platinum, Emerald, Crystal etc. or a spin-off or a remake of a game. I'm rooting for the last option.

Bastiodon and Aggron are both outclassed by other walls and tanks. Claydol beats both of them. Strangely so does Ampharos. It has Cotton Guard and only a weakness to Ground and Cotton Guard basically eliminates that weakness and all physical attacks. Packs a punch with Charge too. Charge now gives a Sp. Def boost each time you use it so it's actually a worthwhile move now.

On another note, my sister was randomly fishing and got 2 Chinchous. Guess what, they were both Modest.

I found about 9 Kingdras while fishing, hear the natures: 2x Adamant, 1x Modest, 2x Jolly, 2x Timid, 1x Relaxed and 1x Lax. The first 7 were awesome natures, but the IV's sucked, so it's back to the tedious task of running up and down until there's a circle in the water.

My point is teach him defensive moves and some counters then he can outlast, in the event he cant use items from the bag.

Always give him a laftovers or a berry that boost DEF in a pinch.

better if you teach Iron DEF and Protect.

Plus at LV 100, if you trained him in DEF( power anklet or something) he can and will take hits. Plus he is more for use when you know what your opponent has

What about best "Damage", a pokemon w/ poor Def, But can Severely damage the opponent b4 getting ko'ed.

In My case this wouold be my Dragonite. Plus as a dragon type w/ immunity to ground, i say he is good.

Another would be my Typhlosion. Not so much DEF, since I trained him 1/2 speed(power something) and another 1/2 Atk( power something)

I would actually rather have the R/S remakes before Gray. I hope it's them and we won't have to wait till only a year before Gen VI comes out for the RS remakes like we did with HGSS.

Normally the third in the specific generation (E.G. Diamond Pearl - 3 YEAR GAP - Platinum)some time is waited before the third game comes out, I WANT R/S/E REMAKES NAO!

Depends on what tier.

I'm going to assume OU.

I would try to make an Anti-Meta team.

Of course OU.

UU JUST started up a few weeks ago, and Ubers is hella broken. Dream World ladder shouldn't exist, IMO, but whatever.

So yeah, standard OU using Smogon's tiers. I specialize in Bulky Offense.

I suck at stuff like defensive strategies.

I've taken too much of a break to use anti-meta, as I don't know the meta.

But IDK where to start with my new team. It looks like I need to be able to withstand all 3 major forms of weather, unless I'm gonna be using it myself.

EDIT: I've gotten an idea now.

  • 2 weeks later...

Just one question, are Pokemon in Battle Subway EV trained? Because yesterday a Charizard out sped by Mismagius with a Timid Nature and EV trained, the only explanation for the outspeed is that it has max IVs and Ev trained, since my Mismagius doesn't have Max speed.
