Giga Drain gets a big mention because it now has a Base Power of 75 (in BW), so you can actually use it without being ridiculed. Sure, you don't get STAB on it, but it still provides super-basic healing, and it can counteract some Life Orb damage if you hit a Whiscash or something with it.

Well I finished EV training my Metagross, and I got curious about checking it's IV's. Other than Attack I wasn't really happy with what I saw.

HP: 3

Atk: 31

Def: 0

Sp.A: 21

Sp.D: 10

Spd: 13

I guess I should breed another Beldum and try again. >_>

Yea. While Metagross doesn't need SPE or Sp ATK, it wants it's defenses to be as high as possible and that one has crap. Plus I know their is a chance that the ATK IVs will breed down to the babies so you can still keep that amazing ATK IV.

Problem with that is Giga Drain stopped being a TM this gen so if that Gengar was breed in the 5th gen game it can't get it.

Oh crap! I totally forgot about that. Good thing it's still in HG. :D

So right now I'm debating between Giga Drain/T-Bolt/Hypnosis. Even though Hypnosis is pretty unreliable, it might help against walls. I could always go all-offensive and give it choice specs, but then Trick might be a better option than one of the two.

Meh, I'll train it first, and then see what I feel like doing.

Yea. My one friend loves going on about the TM changes they made. It's hard to disagree with him though since losing Roost, Dragon/Dark Pulse, Giga Drain, Drain Punch, plus a few others sucks.

I personally don't like the coin flip of Hypnosis. So I would go Drain + Bolt. But yea, you have time and if anything you can test things on pokemon online.

Speaking of, I've been thinking of taking Gyarados off my team and to show me how wrong I've been Gyara has been a huge player in my last two wins. It's like he was reading my mine.

Also, because I love making pokemon teams I've been making new pokemon ranging from the really good ones like Lucario and Reuniclus to for fun pokemon Hitmonchan and Haxorus.

Ooo, what set do you use on Haxorus? I use one on Pokemon Online with DDance, Outrage and EQuake, but I can't pick a fourth move, since Outrage and Quake hit everything but Skarmory.

I said screw it and gave him Dragon Claw. This way I can keep attacking without fear of the confusion or giving my opponent a chance to send in a steel type.

Also, Nidoking is great fyi. So is Feraligator. Thank you Sheer Force.

See, Explosion sucks this generation because now the Base Power is only 250 instead of 500, since it doesn't halve the opponent's defense anymore because of goddamn Triple Battles. Explosion is really just to take down another Pokemon with you, but you can't do that, even with a Max Attack CB Explosion.

You could probably find some filler, but these are the sets I've always used. Just check its movepool for anything Physical that looks sick.

Explosion has always been 250, watchu talkin' bout?

Grr......I can't get past the trees on the Great Chasm Plains...When I enter the plains in the Great Chasm, A set of trees block the stairs to the cave to Kyurem/The Ice Dragon. I try my best....I even tried changing the dates on my DS to see if the season does anything.....is the legend really true? Does it open at night?

You need to go to the little lake in the middle, then Kyurem will freeze over the whole place, and you can access its chamber. Also, changing the dates too much will detrimentally affect your Black City/White Forest. The Population sets to 0.

Yes, yes it is. Multiple reliable sources in fact.

Well, I didn't see it on the Updated Attacks page on Serebii, I don't use Bulbapaedia, and I never experienced it ingame. I'll take your word for it though.

Explosion is only useful because it halved defense. Otherwise, it wouldn't OHKO anything except really frail things, and you are effectively giving up a guy to use it.

Now that we have Triple Battles, Nintendo thought Explosion would be too broken if it halved defense, so they took it out. I would have preferred if it halved defense in Singles, but not in Doubles/Triples, but whatever. :/
