RyanAtlus
How can you hate the whole D-Wheel idea' date=' JACK pwns with stunts on a D-Wheel just last ep he managed to jump backwards over a car in a flip. Sorry I rather like the D-Wheels[/quote'] Don't forget the D-Boards!I'd love to see Rua use MT Boarden when riding on it.
Brawler_1337
Damn. I must've been missing out on a lot. just reading this topic convinced me to watch the first two episodes of 5Ds (dubbed; I found subbed versions, but they were fan-subs, so I didn't think I could trust them to be accurate) on Youtube last night. Turbo duels seem like an interesting idea, although a tad unnecessary--but that may change as I keep watching. Unfortunately, I'll probably be too busy to watch much in the coming days. As for my favorite series, I can't say: I haven't watched enough of any of the series to make an educated judgement. This is a direct result of my on-and-off interest in Yu-Gi-Oh! Great Unclean One: VK
I don't really like the new turbo duel things. Seems a lil bit too much. I perfer the good old fashioned way, who ever loses in a regular duel, ether dies or have their soul sent to the shadow realm.
Cin
The Shadow Realm is a dub idea, disguising the mental hell following losing. 5Ds sort just had Riding Duels, Psychic Duels, Ground Duels and Life Or Death Duels, season 2 is full of the latter. RavenArchangel
Okay I'm on Episode 26 of 5D's. Finished GX. Gotta say. I like GX more oddly enough. I like the characters more, though I do think they developed them alot better in 5Ds, even if I like them less. The 5Ds characters are still somewhat cool though. I like Judai more than Yusei though. Yusei just seems to dull of a character for me. Plus his Dragon seems more fitting for jack and Jacks more fitting for Yusei LOL Doesn't help they claim Rally's a boy when he clearly looks like a girl XD I will say the overall storyline is oddly enough much better in 5Ds than GX...but GX duels have spoiled me. No series has as good duels as GX. Not DM, not 5Ds. Nothing. The Duels in it are the best, plain and simple. They did get too long which made them get boring. But they were the best. I still stand by the 5Ds is only fun when you're bored...sort of. Before I meant that for the show as a whole, now I do not. I only mean it for the duels. Maybe I'm just tired of seeing the same old stuff, I don't know. All I do know is, the duels literally put me to sleep, but the plot is getting to be awesome, even if it is the most ridiculous one in the series so far.(Its like the world revolves around a childrens card game, and they do so on motorcyles..seriously..wtf? lol..must admit..less rediculous than what Darkness in GX season 4 said about the creation of the universe..that plot point was STUPID and ridiculous..plus all his cards were CHEAP AS HELL! I mean, among cheap cards they were cheap!) Interesting how that works huh? I stand by my rating for 5ds...and of course stand by my other ratings so.. DM= 7.5/10I will always like DM, its a classic. However its flaws hold it down too much.GX=8/10GX will always be the best. Sadly, this appears to be a fact.5Ds=6.5/10Good for short bursts and curing boredom, sometimes its got a good plot as well.. but not much else. Cin
Season 2 of 5Ds does do a lot of development especially of the relationship between Yusei, Crow and JACK, namely their past together, Kiryu was a good device to develop them. The Dark Signers just became development devices, but I'm glad that Carly (and soon Kiryu) were kept around. If you're moaning wait until you get to the D-Board eps involving the Twins. Although Rua was incredible during that duel.

Cin
They keep to the same normal rules changing their deck as their situation requires, with JACK and Yusei however the card number changes if the duel required their relevent Savior/Majestic dragons. How could they cheat more than some characters do anyway.

RyanAtlus
I prefer seeing AMA, which also does what it should do IRL, over some weird 10 star Synchro with 2 out of 3 Materials being specific.

RavenArchangel
YGO was the one with little to do with duel monsters. DM was the one with the god cards, etc. GX is the one that 4kids made everyone think was the worst when its the best one =p 5Ds is the one where they duel on motorcycles. There. Lesson done. Verebazs2
DM is number1 for me, that's obvious. The duels in it are exiciting, and worthy to watch more than once. Eventought it's clear Yugi wins always, they somehow managed to make it look like even his weakest opponents has a chance against him. GX... well it's a strange mixture of yugioh dm and harry potter with a protagonist who's personality is a duplica of Son Goku's (they both have 3 things more important than anything else: 1:saving the world with their hobbies 2:friends 3: eating, and they're both unbelievably easy-going (difference: while Goku worked hard to reach his full "potencial", Jaden had to do nearly nothing to be the best)) the only trully enjoyable thing in it, is the humour however it turned boring after shooting the same kid in 5 episodes 1 after another. And the duels in it are increadibly predictable. I haven't seen 5d yet. Sometimes I try to force myself to start it on youtube, but the longest I could bear was 2 minutes... this turbo duel idea somehow jerk me, don'know why. Cin
Vere, they always make it seem that way, namely with JACK from 5Ds atm (Although he comes back and then beats the guy up, or in the case of his last duel MELTS them). Judai gave up something in his quest and Yugi helped him get it back. With 5Ds its not all D-Wheeling, infact current duel is a Ground Duel, with Gun Duel (Wild West =D) Discs, the cardless combo, and Yusei doing what Yusei does best. With the Tournament coming up though it will head D-Wheel bound since that's the premises for it, and the whole reason Aki went to get her license.
