=/ Cheap? EV training and using the right moves is not cheap.

-_- You're the one who came in with Dialga and Giratina. I can't help it if they were poorly trained.

Welcome to how I feel about playing Brawl with items.

I'm open to some Brawl practice today, but if I can find my DS I can get my hacked Pearl/Diamond and quickly raise a legal team. As soon as I find out what EV's are.

Can I have some examples for those stages? I'm not familiar with banned stages and such' date=' to be quite honest.

[/quote']

Stages are divided up into neutral, counter-pick, and banned. Neutral stages are the only stages that are used in the first game of a match. After that, the loser may pick any stage, neutral or counter-pick, that is not banned. Additionally, each player may announce a single stage each match that s/he wants banned from the counter-pick list. The stages that are in the "Neutral/Counter-Pick" or "Counter-Pick/Banned" category are left to the tournament organizers to determine their actual placement in any specific tournament.

Neutral

* Battlefield

* Final Destination

* Smashville

* Yoshi's Island

Neutral/Counter-pick

* Castle Siege

* Delfino Plaza

* Halberd

* Lylat Cruise

* Pokémon Stadium (Melee)

Counter-pick

* Brinstar (Melee)

* Corneria (Melee)

* Distant Planet

* Frigate Orpheon

* Green Hill Zone

* Jungle Japes (Melee)

* Luigi's Mansion

* Norfair

* PictoChat

* Pirate Ship

* Pokémon Stadium 2

* Rainbow Cruise (Melee)

* Yoshi's Island (Melee)

Counter-pick/Banned

* Green Greens (Melee)

* Mario Circuit

* Onett (Melee)

* Port Town Aero Dive

* Skyworld

Banned

* 75m

* Big Blue (Melee)

* Bridge of Eldin

* Flat Zone 2

* Hanenbow

* Temple (Melee)

* Mario Bros.

* Mushroomy Kingdom (1-1 and 1-2)

* New Pork City

* Rumble Falls

* Shadow Moses Island

* Spear Pillar

* Summit

* WarioWare, Inc.

Also, the Sample Stages included with Brawl to demonstrate the Stage Builder are not rated, and so are essentially banned from tournaments.

I fail to understand what you mean.

He came in with Dialga and Giratina, but I still won. That's the point I was making. He was calling ME cheap when he was the one using Ubers.

The only way to logically relate that to your situation is that if people play brawl against you with items (assuming Items = Ubers), you should still be able to win. Savvy?

I've played some people where items HAVE come up. Mostly Smash Balls. Some people leave Smash Balls on high and in a Wi-Fi match, 50% of the matches will have Smash Balls on high. This usually doesn't matter because recently we ignore them, but at first he would snag them and try to kill me with Snake's grenade launcher. Which, would take off a stock.

The connection is that, if they don't use the items right, I can still win, but it still annoys the funk out of me because I would go from a low percent to death because of a lucky Smash Ball. Which is essentially how Ken, the best smash player in the world, lost at Evo2k8.

They were using items including Smash Balls, at the time it had a perfectly legal itemset outside of the Smash Balls. However his opponent apparently sniped the Smash Balls in their last meeting, and he also sniped them in that round. Ken got the Ball 1-3 times in the set. His opponent got them a shitload of times. Also, his opponent dodged his Final Smash pretty easily, because Ken was using Marth. But Marth can't dodge ROB's Final Smash easily.

You talk about this Ken loosing to Evo like it's a big deal. The greatest D/P battler in the world can lose to anyone with chance, what matters is your win loss average. Any single match doesn't count for $h!t.

Anyway, do you (Cheese Pirate) have Pokemon Wi-Fi or are you just a Brawl man?

It's my prime example against items.

I'm mostly a Brawl person, but I can quickly raise a Pokemon team as soon as I figure out what EV's are. I never really had the patience to get anyone up to Lv100, but I have it downloaded on my R4 so I can easily raise a team, disable the cheats, and go on Wi-Fi.
