Ok heres my FC: 1548-0562-4754

I will play any kind of brawl except 1 stock fights.

on any stage.

I preferably like playing on:

Hyrule Temple, Green Hill Zone and Castle Siege.

I hate playing on:

Rainbow cruise and Donkey Kongs brawl stage. I like his melee stage.

Also doesn't anyone do the team homerun or team multiman brawl.

Well' date=' I look forward to Aeon's challenge tommorow, but it will have to bea earlier, I have school on Friday and I get up pretty damn early, and I'm in Eastern time. So that's like 11:00 PM over here. And I get up at 5:00.

But I do want a Brawl today.

[/quote']

I would brawl with you. but because for first off:

I don't know what this "davids rule" thing is.

and two: You have way to many specifications to brawl by.

Dave's stupid rule doesn't apply in multiple fights past a set of 3.

It's called standard regulations, deal with it. I play by the rules, and I suggest you do too.

EDIT: I still want a Brawl.

I thought I stated that standard rules are:

3 Stock

Items set to none and off (Or a legal set of items in events such as Evo2k8)

Neutral, Neutral/CP, CP are all legal, CP/banned is at the TO's discretion

Banned stages are banned

Each player can choose to ban one stage.

First stage is chosen by random of all the neutral stages that have not been banned by players.

After the first round, the winner picks his/her char, then the lose can pickk his/hers, and the loser then picks the stage.

Continue for best 2/3.

Also, 8:00 limit.

If it was not clear before, it is now.

Also, I still want a Brawl.

I wish I had brawl, I really enjoy it when I play on my friends.

Anyway, I'm basically challenging anybody who has a FC to join my Pokemon D/P WiFi Tournament. The tournament will be moderated by Flame Dragon and the link will be in my sig soon, so keep an eye out if you're interested. If just participating is not enough for you then I'm sure the prizes will; ranging from a SD Extreme Speed Arceus to a Giratina ready and waiting to be turned into his newly accessable Origin form.

Cheese, I'm sorry, but you really Do play with too many rules.

I don't give a damn about what the "Standard Regulations" for competitive play are.

I will play Yugioh competitively. I will play Pokemon competitively.

I will NOT do the same for Brawl. I play that game to have fun fighting. I don't need almost ALL the damn stages made illegal, and I like to have items every now and then.

Brawl rules should be decided upon by the people involved, not by some standard that has been previously set up. Sorry dude. Lower your standars and we'll talk.

Felix, I'll join your tourney soon as I see the link. ^^

Aside from the stage banning and counterpicking element, I really see no problem with the rules. I don't enjoy a game decided by luck. Stage bans pick out the unfair stages and get rid of them.

Such as any scrolling stage, huge stages like Temple and New Pork City where you can take the first stock and run like a jabroni to burn the timer.

Shadow Moses Island gives an unfair advantage to characters with greater up knockback, plus D3 can chian grab anyone against the wall.

Warioware gives an unfair advantage to anyone who completes the minigame, and it is inconsistent with giving out the bonuses, thus creating more disparity.

Mario Bros is funking overpowered. The enemies can kill you, and you can kill them and use them as an item with huge knockback.

Spear Pillar has too many possibilities for an unfair advantage.

Bridge of Eldin has the Gigapuff glitch.

75m kills you and it supports camping and running like a jabroni.

Hanenbow provides an unfair advantage to anyone with a good recovery and aerial game. The moving platforms also mess with projectiles.

Flat Zone 2 kills and the lion tamers are pricks.

Big Blue is just bad.

Summit provides an unfair advantage to IC's, and the fish kills.

No items prevents the chance of a random bomb/Smashball appearing that throws off the game. Coupled with their inherent randomness and unfair advantage to players, items support fast characters and campy characters. Bombs and Smashballs promote luck and camping rather than skill. With items, the luckier player wins, not the better one.

3 Stock is fair, considering how everyone is much more floaty and you can DI with your airdodge without being helpess. People are less likely to die in Brawl so 3 stocks is fine.

The time limit deters stalling and camping.

Honestly, I can show you why all stages being legal and items on can hurt the game.

Sonic/MK/Pit in Temple.

Sonic can run like a jabroni.

MK and Pit can glide under Temple.

D3 in Shadow Moses.

He can chain-grab you infinitely until he makes a mistake.

Jigglypuff in Bridge of Eldin.

Gigapuff, search it on YouTube.

MK/Pit in New Pork City.

They can both glide under the stage.

Anybody in 75m.

Camping on the right side of the stage, the blast line is absurdly close to the stage.

IC's at Summit.

I'll laugh as you slip and slide around. Oh yeah, run into the edge of the stage, and while you're sliding I'll charge up my smash attack/D-Throw into FAir spike. Also, good luck with the ledges.

Most of the others are banned because of inherent unfairness built into the level.

I can uderstand the bits where you don't want to play maps with glitches and the ones where you can basically cheat but when it comes to the chance and luck parts I would've thought it made it more fun. I dislike it when someone gets hax on me in Pokemon but I wouldn't get angry cos that's how the game works, if your good then you should be able to overcome a little bit of bad luck.

The luck part is ok in some situations, but most of the time between players of equal skill, the one who gets off a lucky explosion usually scores a kill. It's not like Pokemon when someone springs an Uber that's defeatable on you.

In Brawl if you lose a stock while both players are at a generally low percent, you can't come back unless you pull off an insane comeback with someone like Lucario or you get equally lucky. But an equally skilled opponent would put enough damage on you where, if he loses the stock, he can drop down with his invincibility frames and smash you for another stock, leaving you one down. Considering you only have 3 stocks, a lucky explosion can change the game in drastic ways. The same apply for Smash Balls and other items. I was watching old replays of Evo2k8, where they had items, including some banned ones (Smash Balls + Cracker Launcher)

From my perspective, it looks like Ken, the best player in the world, only lost because his opponent sniped the Smash Balls from him and got kills that way. I didn't see many advanced ROB techs outside of laser sniping.

Exactly, learn to deal with the stages.

And turn the damn time limit off. People can't run around on Temple and Pork city if you remove the timer. Camping and stalling when there isn't a timer is pointless.

Look, you can hapopily play like that if you want. But I don't.

I like to spice things up with a little luck. I like variety in stages. Even the unfair ones, because it encourages you to work around it. Big Blue is fun, actually. Killing while surviving the obvious road obstacle. And it really isn't as hard as you make it out to sound.

And 3 stock is too few. I like at least five, because I like to have a nice, long fight. Another reason why I dislike Time Limits. And I dislike the sudden death BS.

So I'll happily play on any stage, with any selection of items. I can understand limiting the items, as there are more than a few I dislike, but the stage thing is lame and kills the fun.

People can stall infinitely with the timer off. People can also camp infinitely without a timer. Sonic can still run on Temple without a timer, it does nothing to stop him, he can just keep stalling until his opponent kills himself. Also, there is no Sudden Death in competitive play, the player with the lower damage wins. If the damage is equal they go into SD, but that's very rare. 8 min prevents unfair campy kills in the late game. Most of my matches when I'm not using MK stretch past the 5 min mark.

A little luck is fine with a legal itemset, but when bombs/Smash Balls/HR Bats/any other good item comes into play, it becomes an issue. Fun stages are fine for fun games, but serious stages are for serious games.

3 Stock is fine, DI'ing is easy in Brawl and with more floatiness and less gravity in Melee, you're more likely to live well past 130%.

The stage thing is lame, but many stages are unbanned and those are fun too, but some stages promote unfairness, or are inherently unfair, thus creating a problem.

Look, I'm not saying you have to stop playing the way you play. =/ I'm just not going to follow the example. It's too anal.

I've stated my points and opinions - I don't care if there's luck. And I honestly don't see why anyone would keep stalling if there isn't a timer. I'm not going to kill myself if that happens, forget that. I'll just wait too, or make it a no-contest and start again.

So, since we've both said our piece, you can go ahead and have your last word if you want, but I'm going on my merry way.

I was justifying the rules I play by.

People can still stall without a timer, honestly, I would stall if I ended up in a banned stage I wasn't fond of, just to be a douche.

Aside from that I still want a Brawl, and yes I still play by my stated rules.
