Photoshop Border / StarbrushTutorial [First Tutorial Of Mine]

Recommended Posts

Now...let's begin.

Starbrush:

1. Press F5 on your keyboard in Photoshop to open the brush panel

2. Change your brush set to the ''Basic Brushes''.

Screen:

Next edit the brush panel as...

Brush Tip Shape: 3px Hard Brush

Shape Dynamics: On

Size Jitter IN SHAPE DYNAMICS: Set to 100%

Scattering On: Scatter to 100%

You should get some sort of starry brush.

Screen: e5l7r8.jpg

After you do this, based on your signature, change the brush color.

If it is a black signature change the foreground color to white.

If it is a white signature change the foreground color to black.

Works with any color, preferably those two.

1. Make a New Layer

2. Brush around with the Starry Brush on that layer

3. Set Layer to a blending mode, anything that might look good. [Optional]

4. Right click your starry layer, and click ''Blending Options''.

You should have a nice starry effect on the signature now.

Example of finished signature [5 Layers] Notice the stars only xD:

Border will be explained in Border Tutorial.
