They are just the same, it doesn't matter if one has 'more games' than the other so I can't see why people are fussing over this.

The 360 might have more games but the ps3 has better graphics/picture quality and also I have heard about Metacitic judging gears of war 2 and lbp and lbp had a higher ranking score, and like one person said transfering music on your ps3 also I dont think you can get wireless head phones on 360 on the ps3 you can talk to your friends when you are playing.

I choose the ps3.

Oh and I have both.

Gotta go with the 360, but I think the PS3 is a pretty good console on it's own, just that Sony made some bad moves this time around.

With the whole graphics thing, the PS3 has better graphics in exclusive games, but for multi-platform games the graphics and games run smoother on the 360.

The online, I'll consent is pretty neat the Sony gives it for free... to users. The move actually is pretty bad in the end. They charge companies about $0.16 per megabyte downloaded, so a single 1 megabyte demo and millions downloading ends up costing more than making the actual demo, let alone downloadable content. This kills off most chances of recieving a lot of downloadable things.

Exclusive wise, the 360 is better. The PS3 does have some great exclusives, at least according to others since the only one I actually saw that was great was Killzone 2, but in very small amount. The 360 one the other hand has more, which leads to it having some highly rated and well selling franchises as exclusives, such as Gears of War and Fable.

I gotta give PS3 a little credit though: they don't have the ever over rated Halo and not as many prepubescent boys screaming obscenities and racial slurs.

Also, the whole thing about the games also coming out on the PC. Microsoft kind of does that so they can get people who don't own 360s to still buy their stuff, so either way you'd be supporting Microsoft.

Personally I pick the 360 for now .

The reason is this: The 360 has more games I like right now than the PS3 does. When FFXIII and some others come out, this might change.

I own the 360, PS3, Wii, PSP, and DS. In this post there will be no "I own it, so it's automatically better" reasoning. There will be no "I'm a die hard fanboy of X, Y sucks".

I fully agree the PS3 has some awesome hardware inside it. However, that doesn't mean jacksh*t if it has no games to play on it. Consoles are all about exclusives. Here's how you decide which console is better (for you; it's different for everyone).

Make a massive list of every game you like that's on one of the 2 consoles. The ones that are on both systems cancel eachother out. Now, calculate the amount of games on your list that are on 360 and that are on PS3. The higher number is the one you should buy.

Or, you can buy every system like I did; That way you get every game you want.

Most features are the same.

alright' date=' they may have the same features

but who pioneered them? the 360, so therefore we should give it some MORE credit

If the PS3 needs to copy features from a different console just to MATCH it, then i must say, the people who developed the PS3 have no ideas

i WOULD like to have the free online community, that is a plus for the PS3 i will admit, but without Xbox Live as a basis, there wouldn't be the free online community would there?

also, take this into account, the ps3 is the third generation playstation, while the 360 is only the second generation. Why don't we wait till the Xbox 720 *or whatever it will be called* and THEN we can compare two third generation consoles, alright?

Because then, i have no doubt in my mind that Microsoft will come up with something to completely BLOW the ps3 out of the water

the ability to transfer music on to your PS3 from a USB and more.

i would like that feature, however i must admit :\

EDIT

also I dont think you can get wireless head phones on 360 on the ps3 you can talk to your friends when you are playing.

i lol'd

where do you live? Because i'm pretty sure that wireless headphones for the 360 are available

i'm pretty sure, probably because i OWN a pair

and also, whats this about not being able to talk to people on the 360? on the standard headphones AND the wireless ones there is a mic, SPECIFICALLY so that you can talk to people.

also, Skullcandy has made headphones *with a mic, so you can talk to people btw* for the 360 specifically, so that is epic win right there :D

I personally stand with the PS3, for a few reasons, I could never get into Halo, just didn't like it that much, but i really don't like FPS games, Second I'm a HUGE Metal Gear Solid Fanboy so you know where I stand on the consoles, but it is true that there are some Xbox games that i wished they released for the PS3, like GOW.

But guy's you do know where the most the fighting is coming from, The Fan boy's of a series of video games like Halo, and the MGS Fanboy's. It's basically Fan boy vs. Fan boy.
