Flame Dragon
I already said minimum SPE for Spees Deoxys is 328 not 356. I don't know where you got that from. Also once again Mewtwo's SPE is 359 not 352' date=' I made another error >_[/quote']http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/deoxys-s But we are getting off topic. To get back on, Arceus is a great pokemon, but once you know it's move set, it does become beatable.

Care to find a suitable counter for a set with Swords Dance, Extremespeed, Shadow Claw and Recover? The only one I see is Skarmory, which is NEVER used in Uber. Felix
I still think my Mewtwo could kill it and Darkrai can Sleep and kill it. I don't understand why you're focusing on one set when there are so many available to use.
Dark
Mewtwo fails to OHKO leaving enough time for a Swords Dance on the switch and a Shadow Claw to possibly OHKO. Darkrai outspeeds it of a Base 5, so Swords Dance on the switch and Extremespeed for a hopeful OHKO.
Felix
Not if the ever present Sash is there. (Then again we could talk about situational items all day)
Dark
That makes it all the more easier to kill. If you expect a switch, Swords Dance. Take a hit from Mewtwo, which will NOT OHKO you. Use Shadow Claw and break the Sash at 1 HP. Extremespeed and BAM.
Felix
In thruth it's all situatinal, like we were talking about Mew with a Sash ages ago every thing depends on which set they have.

In truth, there is no counter to Arceus. And even if, as Flame Dragon said, you have a PERFECT counter for a set, Arceus will always take down at least 1 Pokemon. Kinda like Wobbufet. Felix
... You don't discuss do you Dark? You just ignore the other person until they give up from boredom. Yes Arceus is good and given a particular set can kill particular Pokes but on the other hand certain Pokes can kill Arceus. When we factor in Items there are a lot of things that could counter Arceus. Hell a Breloom with a Sash could kill Arceus. You've just kept on chatting about Swords and Extreme Speed without considering any other set. Repeating the same thing over and over doesn't impress people it just annoys them. Take in what I'm saying then come back with an appropriate response
Dark
Okay, I continously use this set because, A, it is arguably the best one out there and B, it is the one I am most farmilar with. Barring some random Swords Dance, STAB Close Combat, nothing can OHKO Arceus. That leaves enought time for Swords Dancing and Extremespeeding. Any other set has its weaknesses, this set has none. Nothing can outspeed it AND OHKO it. You are talking about Deoxys-A, and how it has an amazing high ATK. Any Arceus set with Extremespeed can OHKO. You are talking about Darkrai. Extremespeed. Extremespeed is a reliable, high BP STAB move which can kill most anything not resistant or immune to it. There are tons of other moves, but this set is the most reliable. I can make a set with Swords Dance, Recover, Extremespeed and Return. But that is too easily countered. The Extreme Killer set is the most reliable, which is why it vyes as the best example. Felix
You suicide something send in a Sash and kill it. Huh... did I just kill Arceus?... I think I did... weird. All I'm saying is, Arceus is not an the ubeatable behemoth you make him out to be. Please stop being so blunt and accept the fact that Arceus can be beaten. I'm not saying it's bad because its not bad, its rediculousy good but it's not unbeatable. I'm not going to talk about this any more because I fear I may puch a hole through the moniter. This is a quote from Smogon: "As versatile as Arceus is, every individual set is entirely counterable. Giratina and Lugia can switch in on an Extreme Killer set very easily with their ridiculous Defense and HP and burn or Whirlwind it away, respectively; additionally, intelligent switching lets them use their Pressure ability to disintegrate its meager 8 ExtremeSpeed PP." Dark
Like you said before, I remember you saying it, Giratina will subject to a 2HKO by a Swords Dance Shadow Claw. Lugia I have no prior knowledge of. I am not saying that Arceus is unbeatable. I NEVER said that. All I am saying is finding a 100% counter is near impossible. Felix
^True but then again, I wouuld have thought the same about any Poke:|
Dark
99% of Pokemon do have a counter. All of them except a select few, Arceus being one of them. No matter what Arceus' set is, finding a counter is extremely difficult. And it is situational that you will have the correct counter as there are 1000 Arceus sets out there.
