bury the year
Like 'em. Viva La Vida (the song) is overrated, tho. Some of the other songs on the album are a lot better. Especially on the EP. I
fenrir
I agree with you there. Viva la Vida was good, but there are more songs that are better.
CinnamonStar
I used to dislike them until their latest album came out.The lyrics of Viva la Vida are pure genius, overrated or not.<3 That and the rest of the album totally changed my opinion on them. Sartorius
They copied Satriani and gave him no credit. Chris Martin walks out on interviews. They're fairly decent apart from those vital flaws.
The Maiden in Love
Decent band. Viva la Vida is overrated, but still good.
fenrir
Another thing is that Viva La Vida somehow cheers you up.
Tabris
^ ... for a song that talks of death and fallin'... ... Viva la Vida has that tonic effect, eh.

Nɇvɇrmorɇ
Coldplay is the best band in the world! I like Speed of Sound, Life in Technicolor ii, Green Eyes, Brothers & Sisters, and Death and all His Friends!

fenrir
There's a meaning to Viva la Vida actually.
bury the year
Oh, yeah. Almost forgot about "Chinese Sleep Chant". One of the best on the album, despite being a hidden track. It starts about halfway into "Yes".
Shrekstasy
I only like Clocks and Viva la Vida...Soothing.

RiffMaster Alex
Listen for a couple of minutes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMcjXo8ZuqE Tell me you hear it >__> The chorus isn't the only thing that is the same. The tempo's the same and the chords are ridiculously similar. I like them but Viva La Vida is annoying because of copying Joe Satriani.
Cyber Altair
Overrated band.

Sartorius
99% of Indie bands copy The Beatles. /argument
Soul Legacy
Yeah and they get away with it, if Coldplay isn't allowed to copy Joe Satriani, then i say that the Kaiser Chiefs and other Indie bands should not be allowed to copy the Beatles
Tefached
i don't mind them...they're good. but not my type of music really...
Holy Babylon
I think their music is okay, just isn't my favorite. It's too bad that they broke copyright laws with Viva La Vida.
Sartorius
Yeah and they get away with it' date=' if Coldplay isn't allowed to copy Joe Satriani, then i say that the Kaiser Chiefs and other Indie bands should not be allowed to copy the Beatles[/quote'] But they don't copy the music. The style, they do, but not exact parts. (In this case the Whole Rhythm and Chorus parts of If I Could Fly) This puts them shamefully in the wrong.
