RestLess-BoTics
The "YCMaker Suggestion" Thread - Should it be kept open? Here's my side of the discussion. That thread's existence basically says "Hey' date=' guys, anyone posting in C&S is wasting their time, because we don't listen to what you say!" C&S serves the same purpose and is a far more organized place for making comments and suggestions; a separate thread for each suggestion allows much easier discussion than having one topic with a jumble of posts that most people don't have the patience to read because of this lack of organization. The only way to justify keeping the thread is to close down C&S; having both is stupid. Between the two, C&S is better in every way; hence, we kill the sticky to keep C&S.[/quote'] Agreed. I do spend time reading through the suggestions in the Comments and Suggestions forum; I don't always take action or comment but I like to stay informed. The YCMaker Suggestion thread is a linear stream of ideas and its less functional and organized then the forum dedicated to the same topic. I understand that it gives members a chance to discuss the site in a broader sense, and encourages more interactions with mods, but we should be able to take this enthusiasm and bring it to the Comments and Suggestions forum. The "Comments & Suggestions" section serves the same exact purpose of the "YCMaker Suggestion" thread; to help improve upon this site with the opinions and view points of the members themselves. YCMaker stated himself that he spends time reading content in the "Comments & Suggestions" section. But keep in mind, just because he views the section, doesn't mean he has to post his comment on every single thread.
Larxene
No. As Crab Helmet said, it makes this section useless. Either keep one, or the other.
Bloodrun
Wow, both of you fail to see the implication this thread has. Either leave it open, and or leave it open and move it to this Forum, and Sticky it, and leave it open. Or, else. Bang! Bang! Have a Nice Day! =D

I wouldn't expect you to know it anyway.
J-Max
As I said over MSN to Avarice, I'm 50/50 over this. A Single thread can make it more High Profile and more members will want to post in a Big Thread. BUT There is also the advantages of creating Single Topics to put your Point Across. Glasstin, may I suggest having a Sticky Topic in General with Links to Key Questions. This would allow YCMaker to see it in a more Tidy fashion AND would allow Members to have a Encyclopedia for suggestions to look and respond to. Then we can have the best of both worlds. Guest Tiger
No. I don't like it at all. It was good of you to lock it and move it here. ^_^
Phantom Roxas
I didn't read YCMaker and Crab's posts. Alright, it can stay closed.
J-Max
Those Opening Posts were from the Mod Forum that's why you haven't seen them before lol. My thought still stand on a Questions Encyclopedia though.
Spire
No, that thread is basically a mini version of this section. If you open that thread, then what's the point in posting here? What is really is different? I am sure one would rather keep a nice little section open for suggestions, rather the clutter the thing in one thread, which would be annoying to search through. RiffMaster Alex
Leave it closed. As quoted in your post, Crab makes a logical point, it is way easier to just use the section because every comment will be dealt with, whereas with the thread, some become ignored.
