Saturn of Elemia
The Pendulums are quite a nuisance to get rid of, even if you try and shoot them. It is best to just run past them. They may move fast in the air, but they have somewhat of a delay time before they actually hit you. Luckily, they don't come in groups larger than three at a time. Saturn of Elemia
what environments do they come at you in? Every area except for the Hospital. They're a common enemy, just like the Numb Bodies and the Closers - except more annoying. There are small and large Pendulums. You'll know when there is a Pendulum in the area by the high pitch screeching noise you'll hear - you can't miss it unless you're either deaf or your TV is on mute. ragnarok1945
so what differences other than size do the small and large Pendulums have?
Saturn of Elemia
so what differences other than size do the small and large Pendulums have? Durability and damage inflicted. You encounter the large ones pretty rarely, so it's no huge deal. Also, the larger ones are (obviously) a bit slower than the smaller counterparts. ragnarok1945
Oh I see. Do the large ones ever come at you in 3s?
Saturn of Elemia
Oh I see. Do the large ones ever come at you in 3s? No. At most, you might come across 2 large Pendulums in a group. The larger ones usually are accompanied by the smaller counterparts. Luckily, you can easily outrun a Pendulum despite their movement speed - unless you're running low on stamina. Their speed only becomes a problem if you decide to stand and fight. ragnarok1945
so basically the big Pendulums are just big fat blobs with with crap movement endurance
MarbleZone
Ragnarok, have you ever played any of the games? I suggest you do instead of mindlessly asking questions about the mechanics. You'll never grasp what a game is about if you never played it. Or if you cannot acquire the game, in the very least watch videos on Youtube. Either option is better than what you're doing in this thread, to be honest. Discussing the game is one thing, practically asking for a full description through dozens of small posts is another, and the latter is annoying. Besides, the information being given can be helpful to others that may be having problems or would like the added knowledge. Who else knew that you didn't have to shoot Pyramid Head one time in the stairwell? Seriously, you do not have to fire a single shot at him. Just avoid him long enough and the siren will sound. Just make sure that when he heads for the stairs to make his escape, don't follow him right away. If you do, he'll kill you.
ragnarok1945
so when do you actually have to confront Pyramid Head then?

Blackwind has a point, he's getting carried away and he's just trying to raise his post count. He probably really doesn't care about the game at all. And on my first play through I wasted so much ammo trying to kill pyramid head because he scared the crap out of me. Ammo being so scarce in this game, it wasn't a good idea. :p

I though, "WTF is that on his head? HAHAHA!". That was before he started to come at me, then it went to "Oh crap!" Every time after that, I hated seeing him. The hospital was by far the scariest moments with him - both when he knocked you off the roof and when he was chasing you down the hallway. My thumb never hurt so much from holding the Run button before...
