Zexaeon
Due to my insatiable curiosity, I decided to design a hacked Poke. "Bellytomb" SpiritombNature: Adamant~Magic Guard @Toxic Orb 252 Def EVs / 252 HP EVs / 4 Atk EVs Stats yielded: 304 HP / 248 ATK / 315 DEF / 198 SpA / 252 SpD / 122 SPE + Belly Drum+ Facade+ Shadow Sneak+ Mach Punch The strategy here is simple - most opponents are going to predict "Wondertomb" should they see a Spiritomb appear. As such, they are quite likely going to switch into their Wondertomb counter. That's your opening. Simple use their Switch Turn to activate Belly Drum - This will cut Spiritomb's HP down to 152, but will boost his attack to the mighty Comfy peak of 744. It will also activate Toxic Orb (though Tomb won't take any damage thanks to Magic Guard). Now, depending on who your opponent switched into, attack accordingly. If they switched into something that you think Tomb can defensively handle, respond with Facade, which will almost surely kill your foe. If your foe is a Ghost, or just plain isn't immune to Ghost-type moves, STABed Shadow Sneak is the way to go. If they happen to be Steel type, or a pesky Normal Type, Mach Punch is your next option. Both of these priority moves cover for Tomb's lack of Speed, which can be an issue. Even with no weaknesses and mighty defense, the hacked Tier poses a threat for many speedy contenders that can eliminate an HP-Sliced Spiritomb. That's why you will primarily be using your Priority attacks, using Facade only for the bulkiest enemies. The entire killing power of this set is reliant on your opponent switching out in the first move. If they attack Spiritomb, they might foil your Drumming, and ruin the whole thing. Needless to say, be very careful who you set this up against. Counters: Anything that's packing Fire Fang can counter this - especially if you don't know they're packing it. You might think your opponent is going to switch out, but then to your surprise, find that they responding with an attack move. What's more, once they realize that you've been poisoned and aren't taking damage from it, they'll understand you aren't wonder Guarded, and will beat on you with their other moves. Notably, I can imagine Dark's Regigigas being a deadly counter against this, if it has Fire Fang. If it doesn't, it will probably switch, allowing you to set up. Thus, when the beast returns to deal with you, you can Mach Punch away. Spiritomb doesn't care about Entry hazards, thanks to Magic Guard, but coming in on SR or Spikes can be problematic - if your opponent sees that he hasn't been damaged, they'll catch on all too soon. Strengths:This Spiritomb is lovely in that it can really take an enemy by surprise. Play your cards right, and you can easily manage a sweep. Weather like SS and Hail don't bug him either, allowing his HP to stay at the value you left it at. If your opponent decides to use Toxic on him instead of switching out, that's fine too. Overall, it can be a hit-and-miss. Handle it with care, and it will be good to you.

Dark
=/ I didn't comment on it the first time because I didn't really enjoy it. My UU Team' date=' currently: Banette - Lead Frisker / Choice Tricker (useful lead role for it). Miltank - Cursetank / Support / Dual Wall (Staying) Noctowl - Special Wall / Toxic (50/50 Hit and Miss) Houndoom - Not worth mentioning. Need to replace it. Mr. Mime - Charge Beam/Barrier Passer (Only really useful for Houndoom, mostly. Need to ditch it.) Linoone - Random R/S/E Nostalgia choice. Was good for a laugh. I'll go in more depth later. Right now, I just need some role suggestions. I'm very satisfied with Banette and Miltank, am decently satisfied with Noctowl, and am dissatisfied with everyone else. For what it's worth, Miltank and Banette were enough to win most of my battles on their own, though Noctowl had to handle a couple annoying Altarias.[/quote'] It was a quick poem I made. =O Anyways, I heard the UU tier is really booming nowadays. I might download Shoddy Battle. But' date=' can you explain what it does? Also, my DS's wifi is going crazy. Every time I try to connect in pokemon it say something like this instantly. Unable to connect to the wireless network. It also states something about upgrading but will deleate every friend code in my pal pad. I pressed yes and it took me back to the Pokemon Center. I try to go in but the lady says "You don't have any FC written in your pal pad." OK it deleated them but heres a creepy part, I type in Felix's FC and then it says "You already have this FC in your pal pad." And then all of the FC pop back up again. And still it won't let me in wifi because of that "update"! Can someone please tell me what's going on.[/quote'] FREAKY. Shoddy is awesome for people who don't have WiFi. Tyranitar is bulky enough to take 1 Brick Break and KO with StoneEdge and Bronzong would have impunity. Everything else can be killed with Weavile easily so long as you win the speed tie with the other weavile. Also Tyranitar isn't always for SS teams. It's a good Poke with flexability' date=' that's why you should always have a check. Team is bad though and you do have Weavile weakness, just not as extreme as Dragoon suggests.[/quote'] Not all TTars are used in Sandstorm teams. I just so happen to have a lot of Pokemon immune to Sandstorm, but if I have a TTar, you cannot always assume its a SS team. And Felix is wrong this time. Only HP/DEF spreads can survive a Weaviles Brick Break. How many of you have built a proper defensive team? =O Because you don't see those very often (or at least I don't). Many of the teams I've faced are either all-out offensive' date=' with little defense, or a moderate mix between the two. I've never really battled a team that was total defense/indirect damage.[/quote'] UU Hail Stall. Tis an epic win (except for having to use Snover as a lead). I'd say Azumarill was more reliable. Aqua Jet FTW! (combined with Belly Drum hehehe) Awesome' date=' but illegal. Belly Drum and Aqua Jet are illegal on the same set. With good reason too. It's something to do with Versions. Getting one move on one game means you can't get the other. Not in the hacked tier. Due to my insatiable curiosity' date=' I decided to design a hacked Poke. "Bellytomb" SpiritombNature: Adamant~Magic Guard @Toxic Orb 252 Def EVs / 252 HP EVs / 4 Atk EVs Stats yielded: 304 HP / 248 ATK / 315 DEF / 198 SpA / 252 SpD / 122 SPE + Belly Drum+ Facade+ Shadow Sneak+ Mach Punch The strategy here is simple - most opponents are going to predict "Wondertomb" should they see a Spiritomb appear. Overall, it can be a hit-and-miss. Handle it with care, and it will be good to you.[/quote'] First mistake is one resulting in Fire Fang. Because Spiritomb has Magic Guard, and not Wonder Guard, any move whatsoever will hit it. This is a problem unless you switch into a wall, or something that would probably switch out. The other problem is your lack of SpD EVs. Any Bronzong with enough DEF EVs can survive your hit and retaliate with most special moves, bar Psychic. The hacked tier is filled with more special threats than physical threats, so this might be your downfall. I've also noticed that more people are using Sandstorm teams in the hacked tier, with the outlash of Focus Sash Deoxys-A Swords Dance Extremespeed (long name) sets. This will probably tell the opponent that its not a normal WonderTomb, and send in a strong sweeper (or a priority move person faster than Tomb) to kill it. Last problem is your move choices. You are walled by any Steel type not weak to Fighting with enough DEF EVs. I am probably missing some things, but that's my analysis. I can see it working in some offensive teams, but it wouldn't be that widely used. And it's kinda a waste of Uber talent. That's like a Physical Darkrai or Mewtwo. xD As the resident hack expert' date=' I seek approval from Dark on this one.[/quote'] Your approval is above. Dark
*PH means Pure/Huge Power.*BD means Belly Drummed. Pokemon: SlakingTier: UberSet Type: Bulky DrummerNature: AdamantItem: Life Orb / LeftoversAbility: Huge Power / Pure Power / AdaptabilityEV Spread: 252 HP / 252 ATKStats Produced: 504 HP / 460 (or 920) ATKMoveset: ~ Belly Drum~ Extremespeed~ Shadow Sneak~ Fire Fang / Wish / Recover Slaking, the God of the Hacked Tier, tied with Regigigas, Darkrai, Mewtwo, and some other threats. This thing can wipe out teams again and again without letting up. And if a potential threat does come in, you fear not of Pursuit and should be equiped with a counter to his counter. Bulky Drummer is a name only given to Azumarill in the Standard Tiers. Belly Drum is an obvious choice, maximizing your attack in return of 50% of your health. This brings Slaking's ATK stat up to 1840 or 3680 (with Huge/Pure Power). Not even a +6 Mewtwo can come close to this score. ExtremeSpeed is your basic STAB move, with 120 or 160 Base Power, depending on your ability. It also makes up for your 236 Speed. Shadow Sneak gives you more coverage and also some priority support, but the low base power sometimes may put you down. The last moveset is the most important. Fire Fang is for the usual WonderTomb counter. If you already posess a WonderTomb counter, a Recovery move works well in the last spot. Wish can heal you up to full health after the Belly Drum. You can also use it on turn 1 and attack the next turn, dealing damage to your opponent and healing you. Wish also has the benefit of healing your teammates. Recover provides instant recovery, but that is usually not needed, so is the lesser option. The item choice is also important. Use Life Orb if you are using Wish or Recover; use Leftovers if you are using Fire Fang. Expert Belt is also an option, as you get neutral damage on everything except Heatran and Tyranitar, provided you use Fire Fang. The Ability depends on what clauses you are acting under. Huge/Pure Power will get you some extra boost without having to use Belly Drum. But, with the advent of the PowerDrum Clause, this may be illegal in most battles. Adaptability can be used to power up Extremespeed, your main attack. The EV spread is obvious, providing HP bulk and power to your attacks. Feel free to change the EV spread by adding EVs into DEF or SpD to survive any particular hit before or after Belly Drum. Counters: First, let's do a damage calculaton. The following damage calculations are based on a 304 HP, 346 DEF WonderTomb. That is a rarely used spread, to say the least. PH, BD Fire Fang ::: 100%PH Fire Fang ::: ~45%BD Fire Fang ::: ~89% That means WonderTomb can only survive the 2HKO if Gigas has Pure or Huge Power and HAS NOT BELLY DRUMMED. The following damage calculations are based on a 304 HP, 284 DEF WonderTomb. This is the usual, Careful-natured set. PH, BD Fire Fang ::: 100%PH Fire Fang ::: ~54%BD Fire Fang ::: 100% WonderTomb can't survive the 2HKO this time. If WonderTomb can't beat it, what can? Regirock is a good counter to this. It takes 60 BP (or 80 with Adaptability) from Extremespeed, 40 BP from Shadow Sneak and 32 BP from Fire Fang. The following damage calculations are based on a 364 HP, 548 DEF Regirock, the most common spread. PH, BD Extremespeed ::: ~86%PH Extremespeed ::: ~22%BD Extremespeed ::: ~43% As long as PowerDrum Clause is on, Regirock is the best counter. Otherwise, you may need to do some revenge killing. *I really think this set is uncounterable. Someone please find a counter. =D EDIT: Also, I will pay someone (most likely Felix or Zex) to give me an EV spread for THIS EXACT MOVESET on a SALAMENCE. Also, an item choice. Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Outrage, Draco Meteor I know I'm walled by Skarm and Bronzong, but I have a plan for that. I need an EV spread that lets me outrun most threats after ONE DRAGON DANCE, has enough ATK EVs for Outrage and Earthquake, and can OHKO most Physical walls (not Steel-types) with Draco Meteor. GO.
Zexaeon
Dark, that OHKOing can't be done. Every Commonly seen Physical Wall that isn't a Steel Type has potent enough Special Defense to survive a Draco Meteor. The only exception would be if they had 0 Sp.Def EVs, while Salamence has max Sp.Atk EVs - something that isn't going to happen with this desired spread. Aside from Crecelia, most of those walls DO have a Water type weakness, though (such as Hippowdon, Donphan, and Gliscor). You'd be better off with Hydro Pump. Without the Sp.A drop, you could try for a 2HKO (OHKO with a crit). I advise a Naughty Nature, max ATK EVs, 112/80 Spe EVs, and 140/172 Sp.A EVs. Max attack +1 (or two, if you're lucky), will net some real serious hurt with your Physical hits. 112 Spe EVs let's you outrun Aerodactyl and Jolteon with one Dance. If you aren't worried about them, 80 EVs will let you outrun Weavile with +1. Whichever you choose for Speed, all the rest should go to your Sp.Atk. 299 here will net you a OHKO with Hydro Pump if your wall of choice isn't too Sp.Buffed.Naughty Nature cuts down on Sal's Sp.Def, but that's preferable to Def. After all, your biggest threat here is the physical Ice Shard, which will overlook Sal's Speed. Ice Beam and HP Ice can hurt, but without priority, your Sal should be able to kill the user before they launch it. You'll want a Yache Berry. Salamence needs to set up one D-Dance on something that isn't Weavile / Abamosnow / Mamoswine / Other Ice Sharders (although this is OK if he comes in on them and intimidates them). If he can get one D-Dance, he can outrun Punching Weaviles and quickly end them, or he can take one Shard with his berry, and then finish the job. With the higher investment, he can also outspeed the rare offensive Aero, or the HP Ice Jolteon, and take them out rapidly. So, to summarize - Naughty Nature. Max ATK. 112 Spe (80 is Aero/Jolt aren't a concern). 140 Sp.Atk (172 if you go with the lower Speed investment). Replace Draco Meteor with Hydro Pump. And watch out for Crecelia. She will wall you no matter what.
goldenboy820
I currently am training a probopass, a Cradily, and a Bastiodon to be a overall defense wall on my team that im currently making. Felix
^None, they're all fairly unspectacular in OU. Between them I'd say Craydily but there are so many other options that are better. Felix
Well first, Cradily is usually works better as a Sepcial Wall (The other work well too but Cradily is better). The reason I put it above the others in general is because it's the only one with reliable recovery. And with SS support it's beastly. It's hard to find a reliable way to set it up in UU though. Probopass has great defenses but lazy Hp lets it down some and no descent Recovery options outside of Rest. Use it if you want but you'll find it doesn't work as well as you'd like. Bastiodon has a 4* Weakness to Fighting and doesn't have recovery either. It's basicaly Probopass but worse. With Wish support and a Cleric you might find use for them I guess but the only Pokes I can think of that fill those roles in UU are Umbreon and Miltank, both of these are weak to Fighting as well. (There'll be more but I can't think of the top of my head) Don't be under the impression a singal Poke to fill two defensive spectrums will work, you need one for each or simply checks to sweepers, which is how pure offensive works. [shiny and Legend Ranks] To obtain a Shiny Rank, all you need to do is be active with the club, show off your Pokémon knowledge, and be all-around epic. You can do this by posting insightful information, or taking part in the clubs activites. Points have nothing to do with this rank, a 0-point member will have just as much priority to become a Shiny as much as a 500-point member. If you are a Shiny, you have a lot of influence about club events and tourneys, and can freely use that influence to your advantage. To obtain a Legend Rank, you must have previously been a Shiny Rank. Legends are basically in-club Moderators, who can do everything I can do except change the first and second post. They can make events, they can ban people from the club, and they have as much power as I do. You have to abide by the activated Clauses in tournies, but in battles you can negotiate. Some of these Clauses come from the official WiFi website, but some are also made by me to make battles more fair. Uber Clause (On, Half, Off) On: Ubers cannot be used in battles. Here is the current updated list of Ubers. Half: Each team can only have a maximum of 3 Uber Pokémon. Players can choose not to use any Ubers at all. Off: Each team can use as many Uber Pokémon as he or she wishes to use. Evasion Clause (On, Both, Off) On: Moves that increase Evasion, Minimize, for example, are banned on all Pokémon. Both: Moves that incrase Evasion or reduce Accuracy, Smokescreen, for example, are banned on all Pokémon. Off: Moves that increas Evasion or reduce Accuracy are legal on all Pokémon. Item Clause (On, Restricted, Off) On: Each Pokémon on a team can only be holding one of each Item. For example, you may not have 2 Pokémon holding a Choice Band. Restricted: Teams can have a maximum of 2 of the same items. Off: Each team can hold as many of a selected item as he or she wishes. Sleep Clause* (On, Off) On: Only one Pokémon per team can be asleep at any time, as long as the status was not self-induced, Rest, for example. Off: There is no limit to the amount of asleep Pokémon on a team. Freeze Clause* (On, Off) On: Only one Pokémon per team can be frozen at any time. Off: There is no limit to the amount of frozen Pokémon on a team. OHKO Clause (On, Off) On: All OHKO moves [sheer Cold, Fissure, Horn Drill, Guillotine] are banned on any Pokémon. Off: OHKO moves are legal and can be used freely. Species Clause (On, Restricted, Off) On: Only one Pokémon per team can be of the same evolution chain. You cannot have two Charizards. You cannot have a Charizard and a Charmeleon. Restricted: Only two Pokémon per team can be of the same evolution chain. Off: Each player can have a maximum of 6 Pokémon in the same evolution chain. Luck Item Clause (On, Off) On: Items that cause an event that would not normally happen, Quick Claw, for example, are banned. Off: All Items are legal. Disconnection Clause (On) On: Neither player can disconnect during a battle. Double Status Clause (On, Off) On: A Pokémon cannot be afflicted with two opposing status conditions, Burn and Confusion, for example. Off: All Pokémon can be afflicted with 2 or more status conditions. Self-KO Clause (On, Off) On: If both players are down to one Pokémon, Destiny Bond, Perish Song, Explosion, Selfdestruct and Memento are banned. Off: The game can end in a tie due to the above moves. Hacked Clause (On) On: All hacked, unlegit or cheated Pokémon are not allowed to be use. An Arceus with legal stats is allowed to be used. *These Clauses do not affect Burn, Paralysis or Poison. PP Donation is how much PP you want to donate. Note that you can only donate as much PP as you have. If Bob has 67 PP, he cannot donate 68. The Receiver is who should receive the PokePoints. If Bob had 30 PokePoints and was a Porygon, and donated 10 PP, he would have 20 PokePoints. And yes, he would be demoted to a Pokemon Trainer. Same if you gain ranks through PokePoint donations. [3 Points]-Answer one of my questions. [5 Points]-Win a tourney. [50 Points]-Show off your Pokémon knowledge. ;) [3 Points]-Give a URL link to a Pokémon article. [3 Points]-Give a URL link to a Pokémon YouTube video. [2 Points]-Put a PDC banner in your sig. [10 Points - One-Time use]-Make a custom Pokémon card*. [7 Points] *Disclaimer: You do NOT get PokéPoints for making YCM Generated cards. This is a limited list, I will think of more periodically. But becoming one is incredibly hard, as you must be a Shiny Rank, you must be very active and helpful, and you must fulfill a Pokémon-related task. Again, points do not affect the outcome of this rank.
