I also keep a Staraptor with Fly and Defog.

I don't worry about Surf, as half the time when I'm traveling around on foot, at least one of my pokemon already knows the move.

Actually Regigigas was a big help, all his moves helped me out! And Empolean's moves helped (I didn't use Cut, it's weak and noobish) and I used Rock Smash a lot on Normal types. I used AR twice to heal (no OHNO cheats like that, only heal.) and won. The battle music is awesome though you have to hear it.

Stats don't really matter, I think it should be moves and EV spreads.

If they are a nub then they won't know what their EV spread is, also Nature is important (but once again, nubs won't have got one intentionally).

My first EV trained Pokemon was an Adamant Mewtwo with like 200 ATK, 200 Speed and 112 SpA. I EV trained it myself. Mixed Mewtwo FTW!

It's base 110, but you might wanna check Smogon for that.
