Felix
You don't seem to get it Garchomp is Uber. It's not something I decided it's official; you don't read a Yugimanz Ban list and say "no they aren't" do you? I took back what I said about Gallade, I already said I got confused. Plus relieing on luck hax to hit hard is a bad idea, SD Gallade is much better. Luck items like Quick Claw are banned in Standard rules. Rhyperior is a tank not a wall, learn the difference. Making your Wi-Fi team usable for contests is a terrible, terrible thing to do, 2nd to having all the HMs on them. The Pokemon you listed as "fast" are all counterd pretty easily and the fact they'll be at 100 makes no difference as all the Pokemon will be. That's not a good team because they are all Physical. I'd finish that team off quite easily with my Dusk and Breloom. Also GiratinO is Uber and banned. lol Electric not common, it's the second most common attack type next to Ice. The whole reason we use at least two Electric moves is to check Gyradose. Just do what I say and you'll do better but please forgive me for poor sentence structure I'm tired. You don't play competitively and therefor have no foundation for your statements... sorry. Right I'm going to bed, g'night.
TobitoXIII
Well, my team works fine just the way they are. No offense, but I don't really need your advice. I just asked a friend of mine about my team, and she said with a few move modifications, my team could be quite good. Also, I don't battle on Wi-Fi due to lack of connection, so my team is for battles with friends.
Felix
Just giving you some competitive in sight. You need a Special Sweeper as Frosslass is not strong enough to do any sweeping, it's better off as a Suicide lead (probably scrap Staraptor as it's the weakest out of the three Physical attacker. However make it a CB Staraptor and you should get rid of Glad). You also need a Physical Wall and Special Wall. Take out Skuntank and Garchomp as one is Uber and the other is pretty bad, replace them with Regice and Cress.
Dark
Actually' date=' since Gallade has quite a few high-critical-hit moves, combined with the scope lens I gave him, he works out pretty well. [b']Felix, start Smogoning more. Gallade has been moved to Limbo. I think I see his future in OU.[/b] And I don't think Garchomp is "uber" at all. With a dragon/ground type, he has a massive weakness to ice and also makes him weaker to water and grass. So what if it has high attack and speed? That's what he specializes at! All Pokemon have specialties, and Garchomp's is it's attack/speed. Sand Veil. Yache Berry. 'Nuff said. Also, I think my Rhyperior is a good enough wall by himself. Not only is his defense wicked high, but so is his attack. Equiped with a quick claw, he's a perfectly well-rounded Pokemon. Also, Rhyperior's Special Ability to lower the strength of Super-Effective moves that hit him allow him to be the perfect wall. Besides, I don't really worry about Defense on my team. As long as my Pokemon are fast and strong, they can lead to a quick victory. Ryperior cannot soak up attacks well, he just has a good chance to switch in on a Choice Banded attack. He dies to near anything Special, and Quick Claw is fail and banned item. Defense makes the best offense, especially during stall wars. Besides, my team's not just ment for battles, they were also built for contests. Garchomp is PERFECT for Cool contests with all four of his moves as Cool. Rhyperior is great for tough contests with his rock/ground moves. And I've recently found that by giving Skuntank the TM for Fire Blast, he's great at Beauty contests (I only had to feed him one Pofin to win his first contest!!) Contests? Just clone them and use one for battling and one for contests. Competitive moves suck in contests. Anyways, if you've seen my signature, I've spent the past month working on a great team for Platinum. This Platinum Team will fit my expectations of fast and strong. With Weavile, Garchomp, and Staraptor for speed and attack, there's no way that any team could outrun these guys at level 100. Also, the high attack stats of Garchomp, Lucario, Weavile, Staraptor, and Gyarados is great. Also, Gyarados only has one true weakness; Electric, which there are so few users of. The Only good Electric Pokemon I know of are Zapdos, Raikou, Electrivire, and Luxray. And Giratina (OF) is a well-rounded Pokemon. I think this team could work really well. Garchomp is Uber, Weavile is a revenge killer, Staraptor is UU, and is easily replacable, Lucario is good (ATK and SpA), Gyarados is moderate (IMO). I see no walls, so expect to lose your battles ASAP. And both Giratina's are Uber. I'm back. I had a virus in my computer, it was a crappy one. It let me access Internet Explorer, System 32 and Control Panel. And Command Prompt. So I got rid of it easily, but it took awhile to find what file it was hiding in. Anyways, I'm back. PM me if you want my events, no post. I was on Smogon and my team got 6-0'd to a ScarfTran and Cresselia. The other 4 Pokemon he had remains a mystery. Felix
OMG I'm not dissin' Gallade!! I got mixed up between the names Gallade and Glalie. Everything you've wrote I agree with.
Dark
Glalie even sucks in UU, which is a pretty hard feat to do.
Felix
Hey UUs don't suck (not all anyway). The ratings (bar Uber) are just references as to much people use them. Pokes like Weezing, Drapion, Absol don't get enough attention. Sides it's the NUs like Luvdisc that suck.
Dark
There are no NU's Felix. And there are two types of UUs, the good and the bad. Glalie is in the bad. All prior NU's are in the bad.
Felix
My mistake Luvdisc is not NU but it surprises me it's not. I don't follow the "There are no NU's" though, NU's are the Pokemon that aren't on Shoddy Poke list.
Dark
Those are NFE's. Tsk, tsk, tsk Felix. lerntoread

Dark
Those are still NFE's. NFEs are not listed in the normal Pokemon listing, only UU, OU, Limbo, BL and Uber are listed.
Felix
So NUs are a level of UU then?
Dark
UU's are made up of former NU's (Luvdisc, Mighteyana) which are the sucky UU's and former UU's and some former BL's (Absol, Cacturne) which are the good UU's.
Felix
I got it. Discuss the aformention sucky UUs of Pokemon, for example Dunsparce... why does it exist? Dunsparce is great if you're playing with Battle Timeout, because its mere presence should cause your opponent to laugh at it for so long that you win the match.
Dark
Luvdisc is great if you are playing with Battle Timeout. Your opponent will laugh for 2 minutes, and then laugh some more for 2 minutes, and die for 1 minute.

Dark
Lololololololololololololololololol... Manaphy is on Suspect Testing. Are they trying to get rid of all the Ubers? Lololololololol. They should make Mewtwo UU. I don't see how Lati@s w/o Soul Dew are not threatening, but Garchomp is. Then again, Chomp has mixed attacks, and doesn't have to rely on SpA. You won't BELIEVE how many Zapdos' I see on the OU ladder now. They are all abusing the rain to get 100% Thunder and finish off those water types. And I really thank God that the suspect addition of Manaphy stopped a LOT of ScarfTran leads.

Dark
Ooooook... I once got Dark Void on a Metronome... The test was to see if Metronome was rigged. Compare the amount of attacks to non-attacks and the Metronome attacks to the Metronome non-attacks.

Dark
OHKO moves through Metronome might be a waste of a move. It prob. missed. I think the most useful move through Metronome is either Thunder Wave or Dark Void.
