Damn I was out smarted, although I edited my post before hand. However Beedrill has high SpDef so it could survive a hit from the less than beasty Venamoth but Beedrill's lack of moves means it wouldn't have much of a chance to take it down. It's slower and doesn't take hits as well as venamoth also Venamoth has a Sleep move.

Okay, next topic: Garchomp or Tyranitar?

 

I think Garchomp is much better due to the fact that it's twice as fast and just as strong. Also, Garchomp is a ground type, Tyranitar is Rock.

I got the TRU Regigigas as well! When I got home I went through the Elite Four with only Regigigas and beat them all with ease! It was fun!

I hear ya'. My old team was HORRIBLE. It was Torterra, Giratina, Staraptor, Rhyperior, Dialga, and Darkrai (9 Types). Now, I've changed it to Rhyperior, Garchomp, Gallade, Staraptor, Froslass, and Skuntank (11 Types). I need to work on leveling them up, but so far, they seem to work well.

Garchomp is Uber chuck it, Gallade is terrible chuck it. You've got bulk but add two walls instead. Try Regice and Defensive Psycho Shift Cresselia. Also maybe take out Skuntank for the ever popular ScarfTran.

Oh crap we wrote Gallade, Jeese sorry about that I was think of that crappy Glalie sorry about that, Gallade is awesome throw Skuntank out instead and no ScarfTran. What teh hells was I thinking.

 

Weezing is a very good Pysical wall but Cress takes hits better has (kind of) reliable recovery and as Psycho Shift Cress it can Rest then move the sleep to its opponent. Plus it's still a beast even if it's not Psycho shift. It easily counters Salamence and gives Brellom a lot of pain when it's a Def wall.

Actually, since Gallade has quite a few high-critical-hit moves, combined with the scope lens I gave him, he works out pretty well. And I don't think Garchomp is "uber" at all. With a dragon/ground type, he has a massive weakness to ice and also makes him weaker to water and grass. So what if it has high attack and speed? That's what he specializes at! All Pokemon have specialties, and Garchomp's is it's attack/speed. Also, I think my Rhyperior is a good enough wall by himself. Not only is his defense wicked high, but so is his attack. Equiped with a quick claw, he's a perfectly well-rounded Pokemon. Also, Rhyperior's Special Ability to lower the strength of Super-Effective moves that hit him allow him to be the perfect wall. Besides, I don't really worry about Defense on my team. As long as my Pokemon are fast and strong, they can lead to a quick victory.

Besides, my team's not just ment for battles, they were also built for contests. Garchomp is PERFECT for Cool contests with all four of his moves as Cool. Rhyperior is great for tough contests with his rock/ground moves. And I've recently found that by giving Skuntank the TM for Fire Blast, he's great at Beauty contests (I only had to feed him one Pofin to win his first contest!!)

Anyways, if you've seen my signature, I've spent the past month working on a great team for Platinum. This Platinum Team will fit my expectations of fast and strong. With Weavile, Garchomp, and Staraptor for speed and attack, there's no way that any team could outrun these guys at level 100. Also, the high attack stats of Garchomp, Lucario, Weavile, Staraptor, and Gyarados is great. Also, Gyarados only has one true weakness; Electric, which there are so few users of. The Only good Electric Pokemon I know of are Zapdos, Raikou, Electrivire, and Luxray. And Giratina (OF) is a well-rounded Pokemon. I think this team could work really well.
