The only problem is that people could capitalize (sp?) on Munchlax's poor defenses and send out a priority user to be done with it. And considering this is a physical attacker, you would need a Tyranitar (if Munchy lacks BB) with DEF and HP EVs to counter it, and set up sand to get residual damage.

 

You also need to think you don't get any super-effective hits on Scizor, and Scizor IS pretty bulky when it comes to physical and weak special attacks. With a CB Technician Bullet Punch, Scizor would 2HKO or even OHKO depending on how much the random damage formula likes you.

 

Also, you only have 3 turns to use this thing. One turn is wasted after you set-up TR, and another is wasted after you switch to this thing or Explode. That means you have 3 turns to do as much damage as possible. After that it is pretty much Pursuit and set-up bait.

 

But I can see where you are going with this. If this was the hacked tier, I would so give it Swords Dance. =D

If someone took this into OU, they'd be an idiot for the above stated reason of Scizor with Bullet Punch. But in UU, it would do fairly well, bar Hitmontop coming in and raping it. In NFE tier Munchlax in TR is a beast. But TR is so hard to set up and use, and it's so short of a duration, it doesn't work. But yeah, Munchy is pretty cool for a baby.

Yeah. He can switch into Salamence, Gyarados, Electivire, Jolteon, Vappy, etc.

 

And I found a new use. When it's Sandstorming (?), you can send Porygon2 out against anything with Sand Veil and you won't be affected by the Sandstorm.

Why is Porygon2 Epic? Trace?!?

 

Yes. Trace makes for some nice switch-in possibilities and counters. Also' date=' it is slow and bulky enough to utilize Trick Room effectively. I'm gonna start working on one soon.

 

A basic idea:

 

Porygon2

Item: Leftovers

Nature: Quiet

IVs: 0 Spe

EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SpA

Ability: Trace

 

Moves:

 

Trick Room

Thunderbolt

Ice Beam

Recover

 

I could probably go for a Relaxed Nature for more Physical Bulk. It would just mean I would probably need to invest more EVs in Special Attack.

 

I liked porygon-z better. I swept 4-0 with scarfed porygon-z. just spam thunderbolt!!! lol

 

All Porygon-Z can really do is sweep though. But yeah. It's awesome. I have a Timid Specs one.

 

Porygon2 outclasses Porygon-Z in supporting roles but Porygon-Z outclasses Porygon2 in sweeping roles. Kinda funny when you think about it.

Porygon-Z needs to be faster. If he uses a Scarf, he can't secure KOs on bulky walls. If you uses Specs, anything faster than it (ie, 100 Base Speed and up) can revenge kill. That's why NP Z with Speed Boosts from ol Ninjask is perfect. You can SubPass to Z, NP while they break your sub, and you can probably sweep with 2 or 3 speed boosts.

 

But I'm probably gonna change my Porygon to Modest Scarf. I don't like using Ninjask because it's too much of a liability on your team.

I'm thinking for Scarf Porygon-Z, Baton Pass support from a Special Attack passer could work. It would already have the Speed thanks to Scarf and would regain the power lost from the lack of Nasty Plot or Choice Specs. Or inversely, Ninjask could pass on speed increases to the Specs set. Specs compensates for the lack of Nasty Plot to some extent and the Speed increases would be applied and make for a potentially deadly sweeper. Just putting it out there.

It's lovely! It's spectacular! It's filled with Variety! And on top of that, it will allow every entrant to shine in at least one aspect - and will also challenge the training skills of all entrants.

 

Due to the conditions, I will allow probably a month of leeway time after I announce it for all entrants to prepare effectively.

 

If my Brother lets me use his laptop later, I'll announce this fabulous tournament, today.

 

I'll let you all guess what it is, but I doubt anyone will figure it out.

The only problem I see with that is that you lose versatility. Sure, you have a strong AND fast sweeper, but you only get to use one move and locked into it. That means you will be switching out often, losing your boosts. If you were passed a few speed boosts on a LO set, you could change between moves.

I'm about to go to Iron Island to get that Riolu (sp?) egg. Plus, I really need to level up some.

 

On a side note, I just beat the steel gym.

 

EDIT: Also, I want a good moveset for a Golem (that Geodude evolution). I want to raise one. But I have no idea on a moveset.

 

Any ideas?
