Idea:

Dragonranks? A millennium after the obliteration of Knaturighaan's civilizations, medieval-esque religious institutions have sprung up around the world. Order is strictly enforced, and humans are valued as nothing more than weapons. Heretics and insubordinate humans are exiled to the frigid arctic regions that were once Naahg... where they learn an awful truth.

The Operation that ended Knaturighaan's World War on the day on which it started was partially successful; the utterly apathetic Spirits which once fled the world in fear of toxic emotion have been tainted by universal animosity of the oppressed world. They plan to return to the civilizations from which they so infamously fled to restore entropy to the painfully ordered world... and their power is as horrifying as ever.

It isn't long before the Spirits are successful; the new kingdoms of Setruin, Deupatruin, and Tyruin are soon plunged into bloody chaos. Migrants have fled to the islands which once harbored the terrifying fleets of Ank to create a new, less oppressive society: Zaosruin, which promises democracy and freedom of religion. Even these scarce liberties are incredibly attractive to the oppressed, and they begin fleeing to Zaosruin territory in droves. The kingdoms are desperate to stop the emigrants, and begin border patrols while secretly pooling their forces to obliterate Zaosruin.

It is now up to the exiles, made aware of the plan by the Spirit Calliope — tainted by love a millennium ago — to restore some semblance of order to the three kingdoms by eliminating Zaosruin — or to destabilize the Kingdoms' governments from within. The malevolent Spirits will hinder them no matter which road they take, and the battle will soon exceed dragon- and even humankind...

Funfun? I'm hesitant about letting FFR lead one 'cuz The Great War was awful...

That's a great idea. Why don't you offer to take the lead on this one then? I certainly wouldn't mind. But tell me what about The Great War didn't you like?
