The universe is split open.

100 years ago, in the year 50.34.7, during the 8th Fall of Man, a war began between rival superpowers. The Earth was split into fragments called Bases. Humanity began to rebuild itself.

It is now 60.34.7, and word has begun to spread of a new technology called the "Leap of Faith". It is a machine that can open rifts in space and allow the users to travel between universes. It is the new frontier of exploration.

Special people called "Leapers" can use these machines, they have physical capacity greater than average people, and senses beyond the average man.

Now a group of Leapers have been organized to take part in Operation Nightmare, a mission to locate a resonance from the Outer Wall, the farthest detectable universe.

The Leapers must now travel into the unexplored worlds beyond, to find the source of the movement within, and to discover the origin of life, and humanity...

 

 

[spoiler=Mechanics]

The story will be told in alternations between levels and cutscenes.

-Cutscenes will be initiated by the Leader

-During a cutscene, the story is told like an RP, with characters going about their lives and moving the story forward

-The cutscenes are ended by the Leader

-Once a cutscene has ended, the characters are now in a new level, which the RPG section of the story

-In each level, enemies are fought, experience is gained, and the characters are strengthened

-after time has been given for the characters to battle and grow, the process repeats

1- No God-Moding

2- No Spamming

5- You may control 1 charcter, and minor characters needed to move the story along. (abuse of this rule will result in removal from the RP)

6- All NPC's are controlled by me

7- In a battle of some sort in which the opponents are not controlled by another user, you may control them. If you abuse this rule and make yourself overly powerful, then I will assume control of those NPC's

8- Posts must all be of a substantive length.

9- No script type

10- No declaring your own growth.

11- No manipulating characters so as to strengthen your character abnormally

12- No changing odds in a battle (all odds decided by guide in this post)

13- No changing type of Leaper without consent of the Leader

14- No PMing or asking other players to post in order to revive yourself or another player

Battle Probability:

-All battles are decided by probability

-In battles between your and an opponent, your number of dice will be a ratio between your attack stats, and your opponent's attack stats

-Based on that ratio, dice rolls will be used to determine the winner and level of damage.

-The numbers rolled for each player will be added up

-Defense points will then be subtracted from that number

-The remaining number will be dealt as damage to a player's health

-If the opponent's health hits 0, the enemy is defeated

-If your health hits zero, then you will be forced to wait 2 rounds (RPG posts) to be revived

-Your stats drop by 1 point each if you die

 

 

[spoiler=Enemy Encounters]

Once RPG has started, this will be updated with a list of enemies, enemy rarities, and stats for each world.

 

 

[spoiler=Leveling Up]

-Leveling Up is done by odds

-After the 3rd battle at your current level, and consecutive battles, dice are rolled to level up.

-The number of dice is equal to your Experience stat divided by number of battles and rounded up to the nearest whole number

-If the number achieved is greater than your current level, you level up, and your stats increase.

EQUATION: [(Number of Dice)=(Experience)/(Number of Battles)]rounded to the nearest whole number.

{(Number Achieved)>(Current Level)}=(Level Up)

-Experience gain is determined by the level of opposing monster once the battle is completed.

-Experience is gained, even if you lose the battle

-The amount of gained experience is equal to the enemy's level minus your level

Added, but can you give an appearance?

Also updated the application form.

This is now an RPG with stats and growth.

I would also like to keep elements of a Role Play in here, so don't skimp on description.

Each time we enter a new area, I will update the first post with a list of enemies for that area, their rarity, their stats, and anything else that needs to be known about them.

All results will be decided by dice roll.
