iAmNateXero
Up till now' date=' most everyone has been using the Damage Step Guide from City of Gamers A brief summary overview is:Sub-Step 1: Card effects which activate before a monster is flipped face-up (eg. Mystic Swordsman LV2, Neo-Spacian Grand Mole etc) activate now.Sub-Step 2: If the monster being attacked is face-down, it is flipped face-up now. This will trigger any flip-effects the monster may have. Card effects which activate before "Damage Calculation" resolve now (eg. Reflect Bounder).Sub-Step 3 - Damage Calculation: This is the step in which players can activate ATK/DEF modifying card effects (eg. Injection Fairy Lily, Shrink, Rush Recklessly etc).Sub-Step 4 - Damage Application: Damage is applied during this step. This is the step in which card effects such as "Kuriboh" are activated as well as any card effect which activates in response to a player receiving battle damage (eg. "Don Zaloog").Sub-Step 5: As of this point, all monsters which received lethal damage are considered destroyed. The effects of all remaining monsters (excluding those which activate in the next step) activate and resolve now , unless the monster was destroyed by "Dark Ruler Ha Des", "Ancient Gear Beast" or another similar monster.Sub-Step 6 - Monsters sent to the Graveyard: During this step, all destroyed monsters are sent to the graveyard / removed from play (as appropriate). In addition, the effects of all monsters which activate at the End of the Damage Step or when a monster is destroyed and sent to the graveyard/removed from play activate now (eg. Hydrogeddon). HOWEVER, Curtis has posted a Damage Step Guide on 1/20 http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/community/forums/thread/1623242.aspx So, using Curtis' guide and applying "sub-step" numbers to headings, wenow have 7 sub-steps, instead of 6.1 - Start of the Damage Step2 - Flipping the Face-Down monster Face-Up3 - Before Damage Calculation4 - During Damage Calculation5 - Battle Damage is Inflicted - After Damage Calculation6 - Acticating the Flip Effect of the Flipped Monster and a few Guest Stars7 - End of the Damage Step - Monster(s) Destroyed by Battle are Sent to the Graveyard It appears that sub steps1 and 2 remain the same, 3 & 4 are clarified a bit more and it seems like a monster is marked as destroyed in sub step 4 while sub step 5 would be new, moving the old sub steps 5 & 6 to being 6 & 7 - for the most part And in his examples, Curtis indicated that Honest can be used in steps 1-4.He also indicates that Shrink can only be used in steps 1-3. It cannot be played in sub step 4 - Damage Calculation[/quote'] I wish the other thread wasn't locked. This would defiantly settle some things before. So as it were before, nothing has changed, except the phases. You dont have to worry about getting your monster PWWB after you activate shrink. Also, Multiple chains in Step 3 is broken. Your Honest resolves... now i activate my honest?! WHAT?!?!
「tea.leaf」
Also' date=' Multiple chains in Step 3 is broken. Your Honest resolves... now i activate my honest?! WHAT?!?![/quote'] LOL. So you'd get to see what your opponent has down if you bounce a set Monster with Ehren?
