Chevalier
chevilar your terrible! van dal > horus if your going to run vandal use some counter traps!' date=' which is reason enough, as vandal has an amazing effect[/quote'] I suggest you learn to spell. I already stated that this was in Hopeless. There is no room for counters in Hopeless, realize that or stop posting. Even if there was, the main purpose of Van Dal is to be Allure/Trade-In bait and to be summoned by REDMD. Van Dal gains no effect when it's summoned in this way, which is how it will summoned nearly every single time. Horus on other hand, is the same Trade-In/Allure bait but has enough ATK to walk over DAD, and has an effect that could result to being extremely useful. he's still a 2800 ATK Beatstick that happens to be DARK' date=' a Level 8 and a Dragon. That's why I won that little REDMD Deck Contest.[/quote'] Dark HorusAttrib: DarkType: Dragon/EffectLevel:8Atk: 3000Lolwut? ~ P O L A R I S ~
What is Hopeless? A DARK Dragon build. Ironically it's the only hope Dragon builds have, but it's still not great. Basically just an excuse for people to use REDMD imo.

BulletMan
Dark Horus = 3000 ATK dragon, alurable, trade inable, and a crappy effect with terrible restrictions. Van = has 200 less ATK but so does DAD, allurable, trade-inable, and a better effect that can summon its self and +a bonus. thats it. case close. and Van >>>> Horus. The Dark One
Horus' date=' and a crappy effect with terrible restrictions. Van, and a better effect that can summon its self and +a bonus.[/quote'] I Lol'd. Agreed. Van'Dalgyon is still worth running in 3 in Hopeless (It's not exactly impossible to fit in 3 Solemns to make this live at least occasionally. And Wraths can be side decked.) but it pales to Horus. The +200 ATK really CAN make a difference. And more importantly, 15 spells > 3 Counter Traps. Dark Horus's effect actually has a decent shot at going off, even if it is far less powerful. BulletMan
Dark Horus only activates during your opponents Main Phase, and only summons an exact Level 4 Dark monster. Who would he summon? RE wyvern?

tonisanoob
wyvern is a wind type anyhoo, in hopeless dark horus is marginally better, with +200 ATK, but its effect is useless!its basically never going to go off, and all i can see with brining back in hopeless, is a dark grepher i made a version of hopeless dragon on tagforce last night with 2 vandals and 3 solemn, which, makes vandal more useful!
