4Kids have YGO until 2015, so the only way anyone else could pick it up is if it starts losing money, but then question becomes why pick up an anime that's losing money?

4Kids have held onto YGO so long that people automatically think YGO is a kids program. (Annoyingly so does my dad)...

Any dubbing without editting is impossibly, as script direct translation would not match the lip movements. Luckily 5Ds only has Aki. Misty and Carly don't reveal too much of themselves even when Dark Signers (though Carly does go from one extreme to another.)

Let's be honest with ourselves here... It is. :P

5D's took a step forward in making it slightly more mature, but in the end, it's still a franchise-promoting anime aimed at quite a young demographic.

Has anyone noticed 4Kids tries to get rid of every cleavage visible in the anime and card game?

Noticed, from the clippings I do recieve from reliable sources.

The next thing they'd do is to prescribe burkas for every female character.

This is what happens when you care about children: overrated puritanical bullshit.

Yeah but it is supposed to aim that young of just 7 years?

Yugioh anime is one thing. 4Kids is another. The Yugioh anime is aimed at primarily at children and young teenagers. 4Kids is aimed at babies. Different things.

Ultimately, Yugioh is no Serial Experiments Lain - regardless of the company in charge, it'll always be meant for a young audience. 4Kids is pushing it, but that's a different issue (the issue brought up by the topic creator, but I was replying to Blood Rose in that it's not entirely 4Kids' fault that the anime looks a bit childish).

What age does Funimation aim their shows at then?
