wildrook
In a joking matter, I'd say that they're going for a Giant Robot theme. In all seriousness, I don't know. I've got ideas, but since 5D's jumped into the future, I don't know if the time-line's going to be screwed over or not. It's up to Konami now... The only thing I have for a title idea is YuGiOh CR (Cross-Roads).
Sleepy
if they do a new series in the future, they'll probably bring brand new card-types that nowadays would be Overpowered, people will say "I miss good old synchros when they were useful" 5ds still needs more stuff than it seems... they need to somehow save crow, martha, rally, and the others.. we also haven't seen anything from boomer or that clown guy lately.. also, its not only about defeating the Dark Signers, there's a frame story for each one that may be explained with more detail in the future or may just progress (I hope carly returns to the good side rather than die at the end) 5ds was really catching to me when I looked at season 1, season 2 kinda has some refill moments... I'm not actually feeling the same enthusiasm from rua fighting the Dark Signer, its getting,, I don't know.. is just less great for me.. the only duels I'm actually looking forward to are carly vs jack & yusei vs kiryu.. every other Dark Signer or signer doesn't have a great impresion or hasn't even dueled (godwin)... and that monkey guy's deck is the less impresive one followed by the salamander...:(fortune cup duels were very entretaining and even the one against the iron chain monsters was (at least entretaining ) ;)
Guest Supreme Gamesmaster
What will happen when 5ds is over and they don't make another yugioh??? Will they stop making packs and structure/starter decks? What will happen to Yugioh? Will they continue making cards after the anime is over? This is important! No. They will make another YGO. The anime is a spinoff of the card game, not the other way around.
Cin
Er Sleepy. Crow is back 51 from the previews, and he's up against Dark Signer Bomber. Jaeger is probably not do a huge much now esp now Rex has left it all to the Signer.
Shadowstorm
Yu-gi-oh Gx is still running,Do they acctuly play the cards right on 5D? or is it like the original, where they just throw out loads of powerful monsters for nothing like yugi V kiabia you CAN'T JUST summon dark magician. Sleepy
Er Sleepy. Crow is back 51 from the previews' date=' and he's up against Dark Signer Bomber. Jaeger is probably not do a huge much now esp now Rex has left it all to the Signer.[/quote'] that was unexpected to me (so soon )... where did you find that preview? I usually watch them in youtube and the latest preview I've seen is for episode 49.. :)
Cin
@Shadowstorm 1) GX Manga is still running, Anime has been over for a Year in April. 2) Have you heard that anime doesn't have to run that close to the 'rules' I mean if they followed allowed/banned no one could figure out who had what. @ Sleepy1) Janime, have a source where they get the preview summaries from. NAS used to be alot better than TVTokyo however. Back in GX we used to have 4 weeks ahead, with 5Ds its more like see if we can find a reliable magazine, atm they only have upto 53. 2) Youtube should have 50s preview on there anyhow. Mehmani
LOL. They'll make something AGAIN and 4Kids will ruin it AGAIN. I'm guessing it will be to do with ancient chinese myths (Duel Monsters - Egyptian Stuff, 5D's - Inca stuff) or african/austrailian myths. Ancient Legends are an ongoing theme. Darkerai
What will happen when 5ds is over and they don't make another yugioh??? Will they stop making packs and structure/starter decks? What will happen to Yugioh? Will they continue making cards after the anime is over? This is important! No. They will make another YGO. The anime is a spinoff of the card game' date=' not the other way around.[/quote'] Actualy the card game was a spinoff of the manga and maybe partialy the anime. SEASON ZERO. This might be part of the reason as to why it needs the anime also because the games blood is that of the children who watch the 4kids dub and thus would just move onto...ugh chaotic. Cin
Supreme. Get your facts right. Magic And Wizard barely featured in YGO at all before the manga finished with Monster World, then suddenly it was all about it, and it was renamed. Aelsthla-Mental
I think it will be over with 5D. It will lie in a dusty corner, 4Kids will sell the rights to another dubber company. The Japanese will look over there and go 'Hey, it might actually work this time! Let's reboot the franchise!' And fans all around the world will rejoice. Then I wake up. leakybucket
Well, 5Ds can still do a few things. Worst cliche is a cross country race. As for terms of series progression, a think they could take another step besides duel wheels. Note the virtual system seen heavily in YGO Season three and at a few other points in YGO and GX. 5D's has yet to do that, even though we're in the future and the technology is better. I could see a separate Yugioh series where the card game is only played online, making a series a cross between Yugioh and Megaman NT warrior. People digitize themselves into a .hack server, upgrade their cards like Digimon, and maybe throw in some Tron lightcycles 8P
landynrhodes567
i wish they wud make another series but it shouldnt be stupid like GX and 5D.i think its smarter not to continue the series financially because yugioh just not near as popular as it used to be.man i miss the old episodes from dulist kingdom
leakybucket
I recently finished re-watching Duelist Kingdom. Frankly, I like how all duels from Battle City to 5Ds parallel the real world rules, as it makes the duels more exciting. I find that the "no direct attacks/ attack with one monster/ slight elemental based gameplay" to be kind of corny. It worked in the manga, when the series was about gaming in general, but not as a focus for a anime season. Speaking of corny, the anime only "Speed World/ Speed Spell/ Speed Counter" is my one negative jab for 5D's. I like the Syncrhos, though. Maybe a future series would focus on other absurd cards, like "Speed Traps/ Magic Traps/ Equip Traps/ or Sitting-at-a-table-only spells" Or, given my internet based gameplay idea mentioned above, Spells will become "Programs" and Traps will become "Viruses" 8/
fleeordie
5d's is great. Too bad the speed world and motorcycle stuff turned off too many people. It should have been like how the duel disk is introduced in season 1, where people started watching it and not at the start of the show.
Cin
5Ds still does alot of ground duels, so you can't exactly moan that there's too many riding duels, plus it gives an extra edge.
Deloge
Yugioh is just like Pokemon their fans will cry if it ends.
NeoDemonX
If so it would Yugioh Ninjas or Yugioh DBZ
Nexev
If yugioh is destroyed as this is what the thread is truely about Konami will make a simillar but improved game involving Gradius with a couple of Yu-gi-oh refrences just like how you can get the Gradius themed cards now such as the BES series). After this an anime will be released where the cards aren't real but are used for coordinating ships and are actually central to a giant war, summoning monsters involves deploying said monster, drawing are options creating from your resources which increase over time and decrease when you spend time using them, spells are upgrades and weapon attacks from your key base, and traps are expert manuvers and formations used to destroy the enemy. Scratch that, that sounds too interesting to be used.
DARKPLANT RISING
Well, for the last chance, there's YGO R to make the YGO series last for at least 1 year. Plus, for Mr.Takahashi, think of it...HE GETS TONS OF MONEY FOR JUST SHINY PAPER!! HOW MUCH MONEY DO U THINK HE GETS!? THERE'S NO WAY HE'S GOING TO STOP SUCH A GREAT WAY OF LIVING!! Plus, if there's something I'm sure of, Mr.Takahashi won't want all YGO erased from human history, I mean, if it ends, what'l he live on? He's got to have something up his sleeve.
