MarbleZone
Personally, the best cure I find for depression is to find as much work and impose as many really short deadlines as I can on myself. If I'm drowned in work, I don't have time to think about whatever is depressing me.Obviously, this method isn't pleasant, nor do advise it to anybody with the smallest bit of sanity. Not to mention, it's a great way of promoting procrastination. To all you boring, perfectly normal individuals, just go with the "talk to a friend" or "distract yourself" approaches. :P Seriously though, talking helps, but only to an extent. When you grow sick of hearing the same cheer-up lines over and over again, you'll look for another approach. And no, I'm not including the "slitting your wrists" or "head-meets-incoming-train" approaches, I mean healthier options. :/

You just do it in a rather unpleasant way..lolTalking helps. You don't need to hear the cheer up lines, just talk it out with a good friend. They don't have to say anything back. :qAnd if you do go into the "distract yourself" routine, I suggest something at least profitable, like studying or working out. ...Not that I'd do that, personally. :P
MarbleZone
Yeah, good point - though it's kinda sad when "work" becomes a "distraction"... Now I'm depressed. :P
