Umbra
Now, it's time to play the game. This thread is about the Game. No, not that The Game. Another Game. A fool's Game. A grand treasure awaits the winners, but for those unable to pay, their time here will be very, very unpleasant. Among those of you that choose to apply to the Game, only a few will be selected. You apply to the game by sending 100 points to me, the holder of the game. As you send your entry fee, please state that the points are meant to be used in the Game. If you wish to withdraw from the Game, your entry fee will be refunded. Be aware though that this can only be done before the Players are selected. After that event, there will be no refunds. The grand prize will be 50% of my points at the end of the Game, approximately six thousand points, and the combined fees of all participants. The participants will be selected randomly from the applicants. More will be revealed as the Game progresses. By applying, you accept the terms of the Game. ~The Diviner PlayersHyuugaKing: 69 Tokens (1725 points)darklotus397: 68 Tokens (1700 points) Prize: 10000 points. Umbra
Welcome back. The five players that are left will now partake in the second round of the Fool's Game. Each of you will right now be given a share of the combined entry fee. Note however that no points have, or will be, transferred. Those points are your money($) in this round, which you may use as you please. Now, onto the Game itself. Three of you will proceed to the second round; the remaining two will be eliminated and their entry fees will not be refunded, as stated before. However, at the start of the game, a player may exchange points for in-game money, but the exchanged amount and their entry fee cannot equal 500 or more. So, if your entry fee was 100 points, you cannot exchange more than 400 points. The goal of the elimination game will be to get the highest amount of votes. The game will consist of eight rounds, in which each player can cast three votes. You may vote for the same person more than once. However, you cannot vote for yourself. The three people that have the highest amount of votes at the end of the eighth round will be declared winners, and move on to the second round. Any questions will be handled through PM. The results of the voting rounds will be revealed after each round, in the first post.
Final Fantasy Revolution
So, just to clarify, it will be each member of the game voting for someone else inside the game. And we can vote three times in each of the eight rounds, correct?
Umbra
Correct. There is a thing you should know: At the end of the Elimination Game, the losers' money will be equally shared among the winners.

Umbra
Alright, it is time for explanations. Parallel to the Elimination Game, a Revival Round was held. This was managed entirely by PM, and the eight Players that had been Eliminated at the start of the Elimination Game were assembled once more. They were divided into two groups, each playing their own Revival Round, and after a few days, a winner could be declared. This Player would get a second chance at the Game, being let into the Second Round without having to run through the first. That Player was Roxas. With him, he brings a three-hundred point donation to the prize. Now, we move on to the Second Round. The Hacker's War Congratulations, Players. The four of you have won your trials, and can now proceed to the Second Round, also known as The Hacker's War. As you might have noticed, you have received an amount of Tokens along with your Money. Also, the money belonging to the two eliminated Players are spread out between the four of you. Now, for the first time of this game, you will use your Money. Let me explain. Your Tokens are stashed in databases, kept from the others by firewalls and terminals. There are two official actions that can be payed for with Money: Hack Terminal and Upgrade Terminal. Note that the original rules of the Fool's Game still apply. Hack TerminalWhen you Hack someone, you steal an amount of Tokens. However, to hack, you must pay Money. You can pay up to 60 Money in one hacking session, and the more Money you pay, the higher the success rate. If your target hasn't upgraded their Terminal, 1 payed money increases the rate by 1%. To Hack someone, send me a PM with the following format: I hack and I use Note If your Hack is unsuccessful, the person you tried to hack gains Money equal to the Money you spent for the hack. Upgrade TerminalYou can also Upgrade your terminal against opposing Hacks. To Upgrade, you must pay Money. You can pay up to 40 Money each day to upgrade your terminal against your opponent's hacks. The more Money you pay, the lower the success rate. An Upgrade lasts for 24 hours, starting from when it was bought. (An Upgrade cannot exceed 40 points at any given time.) [spoiler=Example]Player 2's Upgrade: 0$Player 1 tries to hack Player 2's database with 0$. (Rate: 0/100, 0%)Player 1 tries to hack with 40$. (Rate: 40/100, 40%) Player 2's Upgrade: 30$Player 1 tries to hack Player 2's database with 0$. (Rate: 0/130, 0%)Player 1 hacks with 40$. (Rate: 40/130, 31%) How to Win If you succeed at Hacking, you will steal an amount of Tokens from your victim. The two people that have the highest amount of Tokens at the end of the Hacker's War will move on to the finals. The Hacker's War ends in one-hundred and sixty-eight hours, or one week.
