[spoiler=Please Read]

This is my first FanFic. If you find it terrible, please tell me what I can do to improve it. I have a wild imagination and I like to write stories, so it shouldn't be the worst FanFic ever written.

[spoiler=About This Story]

This story takes place in the world of Drakin in the middleages.

[spoiler=Prologue]

Greser: The world didn't always used to be this way. There was once peace and harmony. But that was long, long ago. Longer than anyone can imagine...

[spoiler=Chapter I]

It was a warm, summer day in the village of Hajef and everyone seemed to be outside enjoying it. People were buying goods from the market, fishing in the Altemic River; everyone was just simply enjoying their lives.

Greser: Hey, Shirley. What are you doing? Why aren't you with your parents at the market? I saw them over there.

Shriley: Well...

Greser: Well what?

Shriley: Well, I don't like being around them too much. All they do is talk about how this is such a perfect day and how they live perfect lives, and just how everything is perfect!

Greser: Annoyed, are we?

Shriley: You bet! I just needed someone else to talk to; someone who knows what to say, and doesn't just ramble on and on about, well, perfectness.

The two friends talked endlessly, laughing and being so joyous.

Nightfall came what seemed rather quickly, and the streets began to clear as the villagers headed in for the night. But not Greser and Shriley. The two were up all night, looking up at the stars, just wondering...maybe Shriley's parents were right. Maybe...this is perfect.

[spoiler=Chapter II]

Greser crawled into bed later that night and layed there. He waited and waited, but didn't seem tired at all. Greser rolled out of bed and looked out the window and looked over towards the other buildings. Shriley's house was right there! He saw a light on in her house, and it was extremely late, too late for anyone to be awake. He stared until he saw a quick movement of a black shadow in the corner of his eye. He looked over at where this 'figure' was and saw nothing. Screaming was heard from Shriley's house, but only for a split-second. Greser looked at the front door and it was wide open.

Greser: I gotta go see if they're okay!

Greser grabs his clothes, puts them on and darts out the door of his house and sprints over to Shriley's house. From the side, he could see Shriley's shadow, and another one. The second shadow made a movement of stabbing. Shriley's shadow disappeared and this mysterious one seemed to look over at Greser. He ran inside their house. Trying to find some kind of weapon, he grabbed the metal pole used for positioning the firewood. This pole is more than that; it had a sharp point and a hook with a second sharp point. Greser walked down the hall, quietly, and ended up in a dark corner, in which were two figures; Shriley's parents. Greser, knew what was going on. He tip-toed up the creaking stairs and found himself face-to-face with the man responsible. He called himself Masu and he told Greser exactly this:

Masu: You'll find out who I am soon enough...

Greser jumped and opened his eyes. He was in total darkness. Covered in sweat, he looked around and saw everything as they should be. He looked out the window and saw more darkness; no lights.

Greser: It must have been...a dream...
