Lemniscate
The Introduction section should be changed so that posts there do not raise post count. This will decrease spam and improve the site. SushiTheLegend
I must agree, but Introductions do allow for people to introduce themselves.
Lemniscate
I must agree' date=' but Introductions do allow for people to introduce themselves.[/quote'] They do that by becoming productive members of the site and taking part in active logical discussions. Frunk
They are mere forums, they do not spend much bandwidth (none of the forums do, in fact, nothing on this site uses much bandwidth) and certainly do not require removal. That'd be very foolish. Debates should not be touched at all. It's queue system works fine and I'll speculate that it's a haven for the intellectual of this forum. Introductions has long been a problem in terms of spamming with the intent of easily raising one's post count, but by no means should it be deleted, as it is a vital part of the forum. If anything, it should be edited, so that a member's post count does not increase when they post in that forum (exactly how the "Games" forum works). It is a very simple process. Also, this is YCM.net. Do you actually think a petition could ever lead to anything this stupid being implemented? Good day to you.

Luna Lovegood
No. Maybe intro's, but not Debates.
Dark
Uhm, how about no? =) The Introduction Forum is fine, just leave it as it is. The YCMembers can see who new people join and whether or not they are "good" members. If anything, delete the post count for there, but the Introduction section is needed for reviewing new members and greeting them with some of our older or more experienced members. Notice the OR. The Debate Sub-Forum is also fine. It may not be that active, but some of the threads in there raise quite the discussion. That is also the only place on the Forum where religion can be discussed freely, as the General section banned it. And if you delete it, are we going to put the debates in General? That would be stupid. I say no. =)

Sbamber
Keep them, just remove the post count from the areas. Problem solved.
Dark
I don't understand why to delete post count in Debates, no one spams there.

Spire
Well let's see, the Introduction Forum may contain spammy posts, though it allows new members to introduce themselve. And what's wrong with the Debates Forum? I say no.
Sbamber
Remove the post count in introsKeep Debates. I see nothing wrong with it. If you look through it, all post are on topic, and non-spammy.
