-Berserker-
I still think the mapinguari and the ao-ao are the same. The ao-ao is a furrie animal with long claws, and the size of a bear. I think they're Milodon, an species of giant sloth, but the problem is that supossedly, the ao-ao is meat eater, and is known for hunting humans. -Berserker-
Maybe, but have you heard of the ao-ao? is one of various miths of my country, but is the only one i can compare with a cryptid, or with an extinct animal.
fenrir
I don't know about Myth Cryptids, those are the least believable.
-Berserker-
In the paraguayan mythology, we have a big lizard with dog head. We know giant lizard exists, like the komodo dragon, and the dog head is maybe a translation mistake, cause the word was used also for jaguar. And i heard of a big lizard somewhere in the montains of Europe (i don't remember the name but is very well known, tattlewurm or something like that) and it has a face similar to the cats. Maybe there's a group of big reptiles around the world that waits for being discovered.

-Berserker-
the tatzelwurm lives in the Austrian, Bavarian, Italian and Swiss Alps, and is not too big to be seen without doubt. And about the teju jagua (the one of here), well, no one comes here anyway, so no one will see it. Cause 100 years ago we gave the zone with oil (we didn't knew there was oil) to Bolivia to stop the war; and people is not that desperate for water yet, so nobody want to come here. The only thing we have is president who was a priest and now he sings with Hugo Chavez. Did you kne the word Piranha is part of the guarani, the language of the indians here? DNovaKnight
where are you from? The Manpinguari is believed to be a sloth as well (aside from the one-eyed, mouth on stomach descriptions).

The_Prince_of_Death
Paraguay amiright? Born in Venezuela' date=' then moved to the cesspool they call the USA.[/quote'] I'm born in USA, Illinois to be more exact. I can say that even in the US, life is terrible. The government is colapsing, the stock market is ruined, costs suck, and TV is starting to get boring.
