Mst Blue

Modeled after my old Comic Character...

And yeah... He rarely even uses Specials. Loads of Stuns' date=' Trips and Power Attacks though.

That keeps really low on defense, unless you know how to block really fast.. >_>

I still haven't learned how to do that yet. How do you?

Easiest is a breaker, by holding Forward + Block (perfect but you only get 3 in the match so use wisely). But fastest blocks are Tap Forward + Block, that is a counter, though leaves you open if badly timed. Next is the standard block, which is kinda slow but useful.

Yeah I'm still learning how to time it well.

And I hear you on the std block. Most of the time I get subject to combos is because they can't come up fast enough

Standard Blocks= little damage

Breakers= no damage at all

I hardly ever use breakers or block, I determine my moves by dodging, such as if you go back, back, your character backs off, not to mention that my characters moves is mostly air based because i can create a big combo out of them.

All the combos I got subject to were all air based anyway.

You've seen any ground based long combos?

As far as I know, Hsu Hao has the best.

Easy to pull off 49% Killer.

Nope, not yet. Because when Armageddon came out with the air moves, it just changed the whole concept of ground fighting to air fighting, like MKSM, I'm starting to play MKSM (with Sub-Zero of course) the gameplay on there is excellent, but the graphics are suckish, Liu Kang doesn't look like himself any more, his face looks kind of fat and his eyes are weird. The only good storyline characters are Scorpion and Sub-Zero and Kung Lao, Liu Kang can't put much of his combos out with the special moves, Sub-Zero is a kind of a Liu Kang clone, except that you don't have to get anymore specials for his regular ice move, except that his Ice Slide and his freezing powers stalls enemies long enough so that you could hit them. Scorpion, of course, is kind of a clone of Kung Lao, and the Spear stalls them long enough, not to mention that Sub-Zero and Scorpion have elemental based abilities unlike Kung Lao. There is only one reason why Kung Lao is so good, his kicks in the air. Kung Lao can keep on kicking an enemy in the air for a long time, about 13 hits or so, and you can start the whole process over again. They seriously need to start with a new "Chronicles of Sub-Zero" like they did for the N64, and maybe start a new "Chronicles of Scorpion." We don't know much of his story yet.

You know I always did wonder why Scorpion didn't get the same chance for a story like Sub Zero did.

And the air long combos are becoming too common nowadays. The entire Tekken series is the moment you knock your opponent into the air, there's some insane combos to pull. Soul Calibur 4 developed it, and the MK series is using it.

I wish they'd try something new on the ground

Meh, I would rather have a new 2D game. :D Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter. If there was truly a game like that, it would be epic.

2D? I prefer the 3D action for versatility. 2D got boring rather quickly after that

The 3D kind of ruined the MK games, remember MK4? That game was absolutly horrible. Quan Chi was the only one who got the good Fatality on there, copying someone elses Fatality, if it was Quan Chi against Quan Chi, he would use the same leg rip/beat up fatality. Not to mention on MK4, you got to throw rocks at people.

Lol... Lrn2directionalkombatandjuggle.

Kung Lao is just cheap. Sub-Zero has that slide which massive damage and you can easily follow up with any combo.

Liu Kang, imo is better if you have a better handling of the Directional Kombat, and he is easier to use to beat Shao Kahn anyway...

Scorpion is meh.

(Sorry for the late reply, playing a game).

That's fine. You know for Liu Kang players they usually just fall in two categories: the runner type and the fighter type.

The runner type do nothing but shoot fireballs all the time, then fly kick you in trying to avoid it, then repeat the process all over again.

On the other hand, the fighter type actually tries to pull combos on you.

Most people I know at least started off as a runner type

Eh... You only run on bosses, due to the lack of a way to evade attacks.

Enemies should always be killed with fists, unless you are Kung Lao... He just sucks on normal enemies >.<...

well MK4 was bad' date=' but Deadly Alliance, Deception, and Armageddon compensated for it

[/quote']

Yeah but....

Deadly Alliance: Quan Chi's Leg Beat is still there, but no more copying Fatalities, now you can only use 1 Fatality if you know the buttons (I know Scorpion's! =D Gamecube version only though: Back,Back,Down Back X). And there is no Liu Kang... Which for players, ruins the day for them. The Konquest on there is just so you can master all the characters, no story. Unlocking characters from the Krypt was absolutly hard unless you kept fighting and doing Konquest

Deception: The only good one for the Gamecube (And some other systems, but they didn't have Goro and Shao Khan). They put the Stage Fatalities back, but they're only for people who want to a quick kill. Unlocking characters is also from the Krypt, or, you can look for a whole load of treasure chests that aren't easy to find. Liu Kang is back, but they add it with Johnny Cage's Weapon, now we watch as the gameplay with Liu Kang goes down, and the other characters up.

Armageddon: Probably the best one out of all 3, the Kustom Fatalities are fun. But they got rid of the 2 Fighting Styles. Now you only have 1 Fighting Style and 1 Weapon. There probably is no bad stuff in this one, but they bring back Scorpion's MK4 Costume, it looks incredibly suckish. The game play with Liu Kang still goes down, and we watch as people start playing as other characters.
