This is the thread to discuss SVR 2009. Say your most epic match, tips to unlock characters or entrances, anything about this topic!

I'll start:

My most epic match:

John Morrison vs. Carlito vs. Kane vs. Hardcore Holly vs. Santino Marella vs. William Regal in a MITB match

All but Morrison(My character) are bloodied, last one to be bloodied was Santino Marella

Winner: Since I forfeited, they put Regal

I've created several characters, and my best real character is either Y2j or Orton. I play on wi-fi, but I always get my butt kicked. Austin 3:16.

I find the RTW quite unique. Jericho's and Cena's were extremely good.

It's a bummer there is a lack of legends. Only Ric Flair is accessible.

If you'd like to play me, I play on wii. So anyother wii players wanna rumble?

Regarding SvR2009, the WCW stuff is won of week 3 or Jericho's RTWM if you pin Finlay during the tag match. This info is available all over the internet, just look for it. :/

Also, may I propose that this thread discusses the entire SvR franchise instead of just the 2009 game? Because my best moments happened on earlier games.

In SvR2007, I was playing GM mode, and I always like to let the computer battle out the main events - then I'll work the story around based on the result, which is unpredictable and much more interesting.

Judgment Day Main Event, Undertaker vs Angle (champ) vs Orton for the World Heavyweight Title. Since the computer was in charge, somebody always broke someone else's pin, so the match went on for more than half an hour. The stamina gauge was still active in that game, so they'd fall to their knees when it was depleted, remember? The conclusion of the match was exactly like a WWE show, and that is always satisfying. Taker on the outside, Angle slaps the Ankle Lock on Orton, Taker gets back in and breaks it, Chokeslams Angle but his stamina gauge depletes and he falls before he can make the cover; Orton gets back up and immediately covers Angle and gets the pin immediately before Undertaker can break it.

For once, the game actually resembled an actual match, and it was really awesome.

Also in SvR2007, something similar happened in a Fatal Four Way later on in the same GM playthrough, the extra competitor being Eddie Guerrero, who won in equally underhanded way, but I can't remember exactly how right now.

Also, SvR2006: Ladder Match, HBK vs Triple H vs Taker vs Bret Hart vs Stone Cold vs The Rock. Computer-controlled, the timer reached 99:99 minutes and the match still went on for another hour or so. :P

Undertaker won. ;)

Actually the old GM mode ( 08 mode was more realistic but still sucked for the following reasons) allowed you to make your own storyline in your own mind and could make for a nice Fan-Fic etc. The new one was really amazing for a lot of nice stuff but was so much more complicated it ruined it imo. SVR09 was a big step forward but lacked the GM mode making the game quickly boring. Also I quite remember the Hall of Fame mode which was something really nice to achieve that was also removed. WWE also like to add new things but it's always on the cost of the old amazing stuff. Also the parking lot brawl was the ONLY interesting Brawl and that got removed =/

Also the stamina mode was sexy, few whiners who like to play really fast and well jabroniy like my brother disliked it. I liked how it brought the match's one step closer to realism, yah they took it off. The double KO was possible in the old games but now it's not.

Oh also I really want that Diva's match where you could strip them off back ;D It was interesting to say the least.

One last thing, the only thing that I really support and like how it's going so far is the hardcore system. The number of weapons and attacks keep on increasing and with that increasing the realism and intensity as it creates more and more new possibilities. Even though there are still a lot of things you can't do it's still amazing how it's going. Two things related to this that sucks is that their are no weapons in the Hell in a Cell match which is really "WTF?" seeing I couldn't really relive the moment when Undertaker kicked Edge's ass in that awesome Hell in a Cell match. Also that section in the field where you cross the fence and onto the "storage" are where their were all the tables and stuff.

BTW, Stamina is IN th game.

You need to turn it ON in Options menu.

Anyway, I totally like SvR2009, it has too many great features but lacks some essentials as well:

1) GM mode, which is a SVR FanFic is now removed.

2)REAL LIFE GAMEPLAY, I want to feel I'm watching WWE not playing a game.

3)While some models are just great (Orton, Kendrick, Morisson), others look bad (HBK, Miz, Kane).

4)Increaing CAWs overall is hard in that useless Career Mode.

5)More superstars should be present at RTW.

1) Thouroughly agreed, hopefully the complaints will be enough to make them include it 2010. If they lack space, remove the Career or Highlight Reel.

2) Thing is, that is a game. If you want to see WWE, you have the shows. Gameplay is fine as it is.

3) While I agree with your point, I disagree with your examples. The Divas need major modifications, especially Maria. >.>

4) YES. GOD YES. The best was still SvR2006's way, easily achievable. The way it evolved, it became impossible to create your own roster - nobody is going to play through career with 20 different wreslters, while making them fight in a specific way to raise certain stats. Nobody. -.-

5) I don't really care about RTWM anyway. It's a good addition for those that want to use existing wreslters, I play the games for the CAWs. ;)

I like the current gameplay much better than the old one.

Create-a-Finisher needs a lot of polishing, but it's a nice addition. Very limited, and some strings of animations don't even make sense to be enabled, but it was a good first step. I won't even mention that it needs to be upgraded to include different starting positions, but they're already aware of that, and besides, if they include that, they'll probably have to remove content elsewhere to make room for that. We already lost GM mode, let's hope they don't take away something significant again.

Dropping RTWM sounds unlikely because they already publicly announced how proud they were of its inclusion and the way it came out. Go figure.

The way I see it, dropping the RTWM, adding the original GM Mode and making CAW stats easier to modify = perfection. The CAF is nice already, not perfect, but I can live with that.
