I don't think so. While it could imply that Chevalier normally doesn't agree, it could also simply be a speech mannerism that has been acquired and therefore has nothing to do with Chevalier's opinion of the Topic Creator or of other posters involved.

 

Additionally, it is not necessarily "snooty" to often disagree with someone. He (or she) could simply be giving credence to the fact that he (or she) is often of a differing opinion. In a way, this is actually giving the ultimate support;as if something can be agreed upon by two people with radically different mindsets, it's a good basis to say that the topic is practically self-evident, or that there's not really any controversy.

3 isn't too much though.

 

There's insufficient basis for it to be at, or have ever been at, any number other than 3. 3 is default, if we can prove that it interacts with other copies of itself in an unfair manner, than we have a basis for putting it at 1, or 2 if it only interacts unfairly with the other two copies of itself.
